Great gift!!!
Excellent birthday gift for my 8-years-old boy. He likes it very much. It took for him only few days and he has no problem with it.... It's very good gift for active boy or girl. Recommended.

Cool toy, easy to master
Rip-Stiks are cool products. My son(8) got this and was able to master it fairly easily. Due to the squiggling, it is easier to go uphill. Of course, you cannot go uphill on very steep inclines.
He was able to learn it quickly and have fun with it. All his friends also feel that it is a cool toy.

Fast delivery of fun!
I love my RipStik, and it got here just in time for me to RipStik down the halls of the Engineering Building during finals :P

Best out there!
I bought two for my daughters 7 & 9 and I am very happy with quality and fit. This is a GREAT multi-sport helmet. Both of my girls now wear theirs for all activities while their other helmets are collecting dust.

Great Gift for Daughter!!
This helmet is great for youth-girls age 8 - 10 ish. My daughter is now 9, but I purchased this when she was 8. It is a great helmet, very beautiful and true to the picture. I checked several stores and looked at many other helmets online before I decided to go with this one. I am so, so happy I did. It is a great fit, will last for a few years with her and is beauttiful on. She loves wearing it and loves the stylish color. She is happy & safe! Thanks!

Cool look and great protection
My daughter loves the cool look vs the dorky bike helmet and I love the full head protection. Bought for her to use while learning a unicycle and it is getting a workout. I would feel comfortable for her to wear doing any wheeled sporting activity and she is more willing to wear it than a biking helmet. My 11 year fits in it well and won't outgrow anytime soon.

Razor Youth Helmet
Purchased this for my 9 year old granddaughter. Great fit. Made well. Must be comfortable because she always puts it on while riding her bike or her scooter. Looks so cute on her!!!
Rating :
Quality product
This helmet is solidly constructed, has plenty of ventilation, and according to my 8 year-old daughter "looks great." Fortunately this helmet has not been tested to its full potential but by handling this helmet I can tell you that the construction and feel of the helmet is solid and much better than the previous cartoon character helmet. I am quite pleased with this product.

Replacement Wheel Sets are Good Stuff
I really enjoy riding my RipStick together with my kids, but as I'm no longer a kid myself (well, not physically!) and weigh about 190 lbs, I pretty quickly ground down the rear wheel on my casterboard set. So, I needed some replacement wheels, and these were just the ticket. Kind of expensive for what they are, but I'm back out rippin' again and having a good time!
Rating :
Amazing Ripstik
My daughter recieved this ripstik for Christmas and she loved it! Especially the color pink.

Just what we needed
Our son needed new wheels for his ripstik. These are exactly what we needed for half the price of Dick's Sporting Goods.

Customer Review :
No better than the original ABEC 5 bearings in my Razor A5
I replaced the original bearings in my Razor A5 Lux Scooter with Bones Reds. I wanted to know how much difference they made, so I ran some time trials coasting down a hill with each set of bearings. In my tests, the Bones Reds performed just as well as the original Razor bearings, but no better.
My first runs seemed to show that the A5 was actually slower with the Bones Reds than with the original bearings. Not the immediate improvement I was expecting, based on what I've read in various reviews. Still, I thought maybe the Reds would do better after they had been broken in; so I rode the A5 with them from October to April, then did more testing.
In my latest tests, I made 15 runs with each set of bearings, coasting down a hill over a distance of 710 feet. I averaged the elapsed times recorded for each set of bearings, and both averages were 44 seconds. I obtained maximum speeds and speeds at the finish line for each run from a track log recorded with a GPS. Again, there was no difference in the averages of the maximum speeds or the finishing speeds between the Bones Reds and the original Razor bearings.
The time trials were run during a period of about two and a half hours. I removed the wheels and wiped away any dirt from the bearings before starting the test. The wind was calm, but I still switched the bearings several times during the test to even out any effects that any slight unperceived wind or changing temperature might have.
I know that the Bones Reds were properly installed and in good working order, because my wheels would spin between 5 and 6 times longer with them than with the original bearings. But free-spinning times in an unloaded condition do not correlate to how bearings perform under load. This has been demonstrated by several people in the NYCKickscooters Yahoo group.
Maybe in a skateboard or in skates Bones Reds make more of a difference; but in my Razor A5 scooter, they are no better than the ABEC 5 bearings that it came with.

Bones Bearings
I have ridden with Bones bearings on my boards for years. My wife needed new bearings for her Roller Derby skates. I told her to take it easy at first. Once she skated off she understood why. She dropped 4 seconds off her first lap. She didn't believe me at first. Now she is down 15 seconds off her lap times. Her Riddell skates had ABEC 5's. Bottom line these bearings are the best hands down for the price. If you ride a Skateboard, Roller Blade, Roller Hockey, or Roller Derby buy these. Don't waste your money on anything else. You won't be disappointed. I also bought her the Bones Bearing cleaner bottle, some citrus cleaner and the Bones Speed grease. Only buy those if you don't have the stuff around the house to keep them clean. Any bearing grease from an auto part store will do, and any degreaser will do also. But I am deployed. So husbands of boyfriens help you girl keep them clean. One last thing Riddell has 8mm axles. Make sure you know the axle sixe first.

bearings that last
These bearings are fast and without any cleaning will last you a long time without you feeling a noticeably slower board. They are awesome for the price.

Excellent Bearings
I purchased my 6 year old a pair of skates off another site, with light up wheels, he loves them with the exception that they didn't roll very well. So i purchased him a set of these bearings and man they are fast. So much so that i had to go back and order 2 8 pack sets for my roller skates. we skate at the rink every Saturday and love it. these bearings are great

Razor V-17 Helmet
Helmet did not fit my 10 year old as product description indicated. It was too big even with the adjustment pads included. The helmet itself looks like good quality but would not buy something online that needs to be fitted again as this helmet will sit in the closet until my daughter can wear it.
Rating :
Fits my 5 year old
I really like this helmet. Our five year old has a big head and this fits him perfectly. Not only that, but he can put it on all by himself. And, he puts it on correctly. Really, what more could you want in a helmet?
Rating :
Cool look and great protection
My son loves it because it looks cooller than the bike helmets and I love it because it looks to protect him more fully. I don't worry about him whether he is scooteing, skate boarding, riding bikes or roller blading. Head if fully protected. He is 9 and it fits him well with room to grow.

Razor Helmet
I was surprised how quickly the helmet arrived and was pleased with it. It was a gift for my grandson for Easter. He has worn it at school most every day.

Questions & Answers
Question : SKateboarding/sports/action Photography, a blur???
Camera:Nikon d200Lens: 55mm-200mm lens VRWhen I was shooting a skateboarder today I kept getting blurry shots. What can I do to fix this? Will this happen when I shoot other sports?
Answer:
Everybody else is right. Keep in mind, the VR (vibration reduction) in the lense only protects you against you shaking the camera. It doesn't help you any if the subject is moving. Here are a few ideas:1. Try using a flash.2. Try setting up other artificial lighting.3. Like everyone said, try using a fast shutter time.4. Try making the aperature as large as possible.5. Try a higher ISO (like 400).

Question : What has been the best festival or show that you have been to that featured music and skateboarding?
What has been the best festival or show that you have been to that featured music and skateboarding? What has been the best festival or show that you have been to that featured music and skateboarding and action sports? What has been the best festival or show that you have been to that featured music and skateboarding and action sports in itFor me it has been(vans warp tour from 2001 to 2006, ,journeys backyard bbq, campus philly kick off,the call, the x games 2001 and 2002,the gravity games 2006,tons of local shows at skatepark and skatespots and tons of venues featuring a skatepark and vert ramps)
Answer:
Our park district did a little local thing, and it was the best for me because I've never been to another one.It was cool though, because we're a small town and this whole thing is just beginning to gain popularity in the area. I had to be there to take photos, and it was really pretty awesome...despite the lame name of it, Fusion Fest.

Question : choosing the right lense for action sports?
hey, i just aquired a nikon f70 slr camera, I really enjoy it, but i want to start taking some pics of snowboarding and in the spring skateboarding and mountain biking. right now the lense that is on my camera is a AF NIKKOR 28-70mm, is this good enough, any recommended lenses?
Answer:
I just answered a similar question in the "camera" section on Yahoo! Answers. But for someone with a D80 and he was using his camera for his kids playing sports. Both are going to have alot of movement and action, so you want to capture the action in a still frame with out the blur.If its for sports and action shots. A good one for that type of stuff with out breaking your budget is the AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G EDAF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-EDboth are good for action shots and have fast AF so you can get the snap shots of snowboarders flying over you with out the blur.

Question : What kind of introvert am I?
I enjoy quientess and solitude, but when it comes to action sports(skateboarding, wakeboarding, snowboarding) I get really energetic. The feeling of "going big" and going fast is addicting to me.(all extraversion)My top favorite tv shows are thrillbillies, nitro circus & jackass too. After seeing all the personality traits from myer briggs I dont know what I am
Answer:
It sounds like we are a lot alike. I am also an introvert according Myer-Briggs. However, according to DISC I am an extrovert. Also according to the strong interest survey I am very social in my work.Know that being an introvert means that we gather energy being alone; so when we are tired we need to off somewhere quiet and chill. It does not mean that you are not outgoing. It also sounds like you are a bit of an adrenaline junkie too. :)I don't know what age you are but I was in my 30s when I found this out. It sounds like you are way ahead of the game. So good for you. For years I worked with people, then got burnt out, worked away from people, was unhappy with that... I bounced back and forth for years before I did Myer Briggs and figured out that I love to be around people but then I have to be alone to recharge. I'm a school teacher and at the end of the day I have to go home, be alone and recharge. Fortunately my husband is also an introvert so he understands why I need to be alone because he needs to also.

Question : Who thinks that yahoo answers should have board sports in their sports category? AKA-skateboarding.surfing.etc
At least something for us action sports enthusiasts! I hate having to classify my question under "other".
Answer:
If "fantasy" and "pool" get a section then yes you should get your board section too. I think there should be a "running" category. I have to use the "other" section too.
