Only goggles I trust.

Used these when I was on the swim team in high school and for the past 2 years doing triathlons. These are the only goggles that never: leak, hurt my eyes, fog up*, fall off while diving. This is my second pair and my first pair lasted me 6 years until I lost them. The straps on my first pair lasted me a good two and a half years before snapping from overuse, so I ended up buying a bungee replacement strap (excellent product by the way) which did the job. These goggles come with their own neat little case that you can put in your backpack and store them in for when you're going to the gym/practice as well as different size nose pieces.

*The fog proof layer on the inside lasted about 15 uses before wearing off. I figured it would be impossible for them to stay fog proof forever anyways so I wasn't disappointed. The real solution isn't buying expensive towelettes to smear on the inside but by just using your own spit! Just spit in on both sides, smear it around a bit, give them a good splash to get out the excess. Once their empty of all water just put them on and you shouldn't have any problems! Ask your local divers about this I'm 100% serious this works!

Take Time to Adjust the Goggles

These are the best selling men's swim goggles but I am not sure if they are the most air-tight. Based on my experience with swim goggles for years, I think an ideal goggle has these qualities, in order of preference: Air-tight seal, after all, the main function of goggles is to protect your eyes from irritants in the pool water; Comfortable to wear, without any irritation and the commonest source of irritation is the nose piece; Clear vision; Look good; Very little drag - now this could be the top priority for a competitive swimmer.

Vanquisher can become an ideal goggle but need a lot of adjustments over multiple sessions. To get leak proof seal with most comfort, you will need to spend some time making the appropriate adjustments.

ADJUSTMENTS BEFORE THE FIRST USE

1. Press the googles against your orbits, without the straps, and see if you get a feeling of suction and how the nose piece feels.
2. Then put the headstraps on at 45 degrees angle so that they go to crown of your head. Get the feel.
3. Adjust the headstraps to get the most snug, not the tight, feel. You may need a blunt object like a key to get the headstraps out of the clips.
4. Adjust the nose piece to get suction and the comfortable feel. There are four nose pieces that come with these google. The nose pieces come out of the goggles with a twisting movement.

ADJUSTMENTS BEFORE EACH USE

1. Put the goggles on before getting into the water to get air-tight seal.
2. Press the goggles against the orbits, without the headstraps, to get suction and air-tight seal.
3. Then put the headstraps on at 45 degrees to angle so that they are over the crown of your head.
4. Then get into the water.
For me it took fine tuning the strap and the nose piece after abot 5 sessions of swimming to get the right snug air-tight fit

TO MAINTAIN OPTICAL CLARITY

1. Need to store the goggles in a case, preferably water draining, with nothing rubbing against the goggles to scratch them.
2. Periodically, depending upon your use, spray them with anti-fog coating.
3. Wash them after each use to prevent chemical damage.
Of course, even with anti-fog spray, sooner or later all goggles lose their optical clarity.

After, you make the right adjustments, these Vanquisher goggles, are pretty close to the ideal goggles. I just found the following two problems.

1. The nose piece is hard plastic, and nose pieces come in different sizes, and you cannot carry them all in case you need to make in adjustment while in the pool. I preferred the soft rubber adjustable nose piece in my old Speedo goggles, which had different notches for adjustment. It was soft and comfortable on the nose and you could adjust it while in the pool.
2. The case for goggles is big and hard plastic which does not drain water. Soft plastic self draining case would have been nicer.

With these minor caveats, I think these are good pair of goggles although I liked my old Speedo goggles better for the reasons mentioned above, but they are no longer available.

Great Goggles

These are really good googles for swimming and they really are water tight. I use these in our pool and I quickly forget that I have googles on and just enjoy swimming. Over time they will make my eyes a bit sore from the airtight suction that keeps the water out, but that takes a while to occur and meanwhile, they are comfortable and allow me to see underwater and avoid any chlorine sting.

I got the clear model and highly recommend these googles to anyone that is looking for a comfortable pair of swimming googles.

this cap was too small for my head (and no, my head isnt abnormally large) and it does little to keep my hair dry. it also pinches my ears.

Swim cap is perfect for me -- reasonably priced, fits my head perfectly -- my hair doesn't get wet at all. Only reason I gave it a four is because I have a hard time hearing when I'm wearing it, but that'd be a problem with any cap. :-)

The fit is not snug. Get one size smaller than you would guess at first. Fit is IMPORTANT. If it is doesnt fit exactly, either your head will hurt or tiny air pockets will irritate you when underwater even for a second.

Comfy cap

I have long hair (down to the middle of my back) so I was originally concerned with fit even though I know the caps stretch. This cap fit over my bun and was snug against my head. I could even pull it down over my ears without yanking and wiggling the cap down. My hair gets wet each time I wear it, but I think that is par for the swimming cap course.

Keeps My Long Hair 90% Dry

I know that swim caps are more about being streamlined in the pool than keeping one's hair dry, but I hate having to wash my hair more often than is needed because it reeks of chlorine.

With a simple braid, I'm able to keep my mid-back length hair (which isn't thick) tucked inside the cap with only minimal pool-water exposure.

NOTE though that as I am currently pregnant, so I swim using a kick board and don't fully submerge my head...mostly only face in. But this cap keeps the front of my hair from getting wet.

On the occasion I submerge my head or do an extended back stroke, more water seeps in through the back, but I suppose that can't be helped.

Do NOT waste your money. If you could see the product first, you would not buy it

I bought 4 of these things to use as stocking stuffers. But when I actually received these items I was embarrssed to give them as gifts. Waste of money. The yellow section at the top is actually quite thick and hard. It does not bend at all. The pouch is small and flat. I consider this a totally useless item from China. How/why anyone would wear this thing around their neck or inside their swim or paddling trunks is beyond me. Save your money--don't buy this product.

Well Made

The yellow part at the top, which is the closure, is quite large, about 7/8 inch (2cm) thick (including the latch handles), not that that's inappropriate, it is what allows the opening to be securely clamped, but I didn't expect it. Altogether I think its well thought out and the materials are good quality.

Someone else mentioned the difficulty of getting the cardboard out, no joke! It would be very easy to destroy the product while you're at it. Even crunching it up first didn't help much. Maybe filling the pocket with water and letting it soak for a while....

I will probably be buying the I-Phone size that they make.

This is a great product! i would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to keep a small amount of items dry. I used it on my vacation and it worked perfectly. You are able to store money, id's and a pair of keys. instead of hanging it from my neck i was able to put the lanyard around my waist this way it was more secure and i didnt look like a complete tourist. i would also recommend that you bend the cardboard that is in the case when you first get it. its wedged in there pretty tightly and you dont want to cause a tear taking it out.

Best goggles I've owned

I've worn Vanquisher goggles for at least five years. They fit well, resist breakdown, and never leak. They do consistently leave marks around my eyes no matter how I adjust them. That could just be my physiology. Small price to pay for excellent underwater vision.

The Goggles That Never Quit

The Speedo vanquisher googles have always been my go-to since I started swimming in 7th grade. Now I'm a collegiate water polo player and I still use these goggles. They're comfortable, durable, and stylish. They've survived outdoor pools and indoor pools, being stepped on multiple times, and being jostled around in my swim bag. I'd recommend these goggles for anyone. However, I would caution the green color because the lenses are really, really green. A more neutral color like light blue or light green avoids that problem.

Wow! First time I purchased goggles made for women and the fit is awesome...no leaks at all during my swim. With my old goggles, I was re-fitting them almost every lap and the fit was terrible. I highly recommend these goggles for women.

Am I doing this wrong?

This is my second pair of these goggles. They are perfectly fog-free for about the first 2 wks of use (about 12 hours total swimming) then they start to get foggy... I rinse them in cold water after each swim.
I do love how they fit though - they stay snug and are fully adjustable. I love that they come w/ 3 nose pieces for different size faces - that gives them an extra star in my book.

Great suit, but beware of size

This is a great suit, but please beware of the sizing. I wear a size 2, but heeded the advice/warning of other buyers and ordered a size 8.. and it just fits!

Poor quality suit, no endurance!

This is the second time I've purchased the suit. The first time I got about 3 months of wear out of it. I purchased it a second time, figuring 3 months is acceptable wear for frequent swimming, and this time, only ONE month of use. That's only about 3-4 times per week swimming! I already have a worn patch in the derriere, barely any material there. I need a new suit, but it WON'T be this one again.

Sizing is way off....

I ordered this item for my 16 year old daughter who wears a 10/36 on all other items. This particular item arrives and she couldn't get it past her upper thigh! The item is advertised as a 'womans' but there is no way these are womens sizes. A 10 year old, tiny petite little girl that I babysit was able to wear it.

I definitely won't order item again because I'm not about to go back and forth having my daughter try on swim suits, return, try-on, return. It's not worth it.

This is a nice speedo for the money. The onlt thing I would say is to order 2 sizes up from what you would order. I'm 5'4 and 138 pounds. I normaly would get a small/medium and size 8 pants. Here I had to get the 38 which is like a XL and it fits perfect, and looks really small I dont know how it would be a size XL!
