These have been great for my beginning swimmers. The kids have lots of mobility but are kept afloat when they get a little tired. Their heads are always above water. Great price too and great selection of colors so each kids got to pick out their favorite.

Great confidence builder!

My three year old son wouldn't even get his face wet before we got this life jacket for him. Now he is jumping off the side of the pool and going all the way under and he is even asking to practice his swimming without his life jacket. All he needed was a little confidence in the water and this life jacket gave it to him. I have just ordered one for my 15 month old and she loves it too!

I've tried everything between my 2 yr old and 5 yr old to make it easier for me to take them both to the pool by myself. I've been SO worried about their safety and made the 5 yr old take swim lessons as well. The suits with the floats built into them always make my girls tip forwards and float face down in the water...the exact opposite of what I'm trying to do (drown my child)! The arm floats are always too big and just come off in the water and neither of my girls would stay in the infant spring float for over 5 minutes. I saw someone at the pool with this and was amazed how her (looked like 1 yr-old) was held up so well and just walked around the baby pool pretty much unassisted. The float says for 30-50 lbs but that baby did NOT way 30 lbs and my 2 yr-old only weighs 22 lbs. She fits very well in the float. I DEFINATELY recommend this over any other infant float and am even ordering them and giving them as B-Day gifts! A great buy!

Reviewed Five Life Jackets - This Was the Winner

We purchased five different life jackets for the 20 month old twins. The traditional styled ones road up at the shoulders. The Swimways Power Swimr System was difficult to get on and did nothing to keep the babies heads above water. Nor did the Speedo UV 50.

We put the Stearns Kids Puddle Jumper on the first baby and she jumped into the pool for the first time in her life and paddled happily around for hours (see photo). The second twin took a little longer learning how to stay upright and she didn't want to take it off.

I dinged it a star, though, because it's so tight in the arms that it is hard to get on and off. However, neither twin complained once they got it on and there were no marks on their arms afterwards.

HELPS ME AND MY DAUGHTER

I bought this for my 21 mo old daughter to use at the pool. In the water she likes to hold onto me when she plays. I have a newborn, and it was impossible to get in the water with the both of them. This lifejacket has been a lifesaver (no pun intended) because it gives my daughter the confidence to let go of me, and gives me the peace of mind that she isn't going under water. The arms give her the freedom to grab toys in the water, but still keeps her safe. Now all three of us can get in the pool together. Buy this, you won't be disappointed!

I had seen this item advertised in a parenting magazine and thought I would try it. IT IS THE BEST THING EVER !!!! My four year old gives me no trouble to wear it and it works exceptionally well keeping his head up above the water and he has a blast. It definately helps him to keep up with the big kids. We recently purchased a pool - we have a 6 year old, and a two year old (who WAS deathly afraid of water). I tried three different types of life jackets with our two year old son ... nothing gave him enough confidence to "let go of mama" in the pool. I was reading Family Fun Magazine one day and saw the Puddle Jumper ... I ordered it that night. With in 5 minutes of trying it in the pool, our little guy was swimming like a FISH! He absolutly LOVES it. It gives him the freedom to swim with out compromising his safety. Not only does he have confidence in the pool in his Puddle Jumper (where he can see bottom) - he also has it in the lake - we recently went to Lake of the Ozarks and he was unassisted in the lake (40 feet deep and WAVES)and he swam all day long ... he even jumped from the dock. I am begging our pool place to get them in stock (I can not find them anywhere in my area) and I have purchased an additional Puddle Jumper for guests and two others for a friend. I can't say enough about it! I'm sure my little guy can be swimming on his own next summer ... it is truly an amazing product! You will not be dissatisfied!

Runs small...

Like others have said, these run small. I would have given them a 5 star review, except for the hassle of having to get a half size larger.

Hopefully, if enough people make mention of the size problem, it will be corrected either by the factory, or at least mentioned in the product description.

I'm otherwise very pleased with the shoes.

Great Stuff

I find I wear these almost all the time.
Took them fishing and they are as advertised.
In and out of the water these are maybe the best shoe I have every owned.
I buy the cheapest shoe I can just because, but these are worth every red cent and a good price anyhow.
I will be buying this shoe again. I will probably buy a few over time just to have backups and get them before I can no longer find them.

Durable and watertight

I am using it on my motorbike for long distance travel.
It is durable, watertight and can take some abuse which
many of the other waterproof bags can not

good but not perfect

I got a 5L bag and overall it's a good bag but a little too heavy for backpacking. My main issue is that the opening is very small while the bag is fairly long. Combined with it's stiff material, it's hard to pack bigger items into it. Would be nicer if it was wider and shorter. I prefer the storm sack and the USMC sack which has a built in air-valve to let the excess air out once closed.

Great Bags but Not for Cameras

I use both the 5 Liter and 10 Liter bags for canoeing and rafting. They are extremely well made and I have never had any leaks, even after complete submersion. I used to keep a camera in the bag but not any more. When I saw something I wanted to photograph, I had to unfold the seal to get at the camera. This simply took too long and the moment was usually gone. So don't use this as a waterproof camera case. Get a waterproof camera instead and use the SealLine to keep your lunch and gear dry. That it does extremely well.
