Compact, with a smaller mouthpiece, the Mini had the same pealess design and ultra-shrill tone of the Classic whistle. Great tool as a signalling device and safety tool.

Customer Review :

Excellent Product & Prompt Delivery

This item was exactly as described in the item description. It was in the original packaging and is in excellent condition. I am very satisfied and I highly recommend this seller and product to everyone. The whistles that FOX 40 makes are very high quality. I used them for my lifeguards at a camp this summer and they work very well.

awesome sound for such a little whistle

Fox 40 Pearl Whistle

I was truly amazed at the volume and pitch of this small whistle.

Rating :

Very Good

If you have the space for it, not that it's overly large, this is a fine whistle. Plenty loud, sturdy, light weight and visible.

Along with a flashlight, a knife and a weapon, this is an everyday carry item for me. I keep it on a key-chain.

My dog had been hurt while on a walk and my wife had gotten word back to me that she was at a certain location yet when I went there I couldn't find her. I wound up having to holler for her and it still took quite a while before I found her. A whistle would have been handy and, unlike a phone, there are no batteries that can go dead.

# Whistles Meaning
1 Where are you?
2 Come to me!
3 Emergency!

Rating :

"Glow" glows in the dark

Although the Mini, at up to 115 db, isn't as loud as the Micro/Rescue Howler, at up to 122 db, nor as compact to carry, it is easier to blow.

What I especially like about the Mini is that "Glow" is luminous.

We feel that a safety tube, or safety sausage as it is commonly referred to, should be mandatory scuba equipment for all divers. If you surface far away from the boat or in rough seas, it's extremely hard for a dive boat to spot you.

Dive Alert Signaling Device Dive Alert Signaling Device
Price : $50.00

Average Customer Rating : Not yet rated

Editorial Review :

Traditionally, scuba divers have relied on whistles as their only signaling device in surfacing emergencies. But if a diver is disabled and can't blow into the whistle, the whistle makes no sound at all. Equally frustrating (and dangerous), if a diver needs to attract the attention of someone who is too far away to hear the whistle, the whistle is of no help. In contrast, Dive Alert enables divers, at the mere touch of a button, to generate a blast of sound that can be heard up to a mile away! Dive Alert is a specially designed, small, lightweight air horn that fits between your BC's power inflator and its air hose to become an integrated part of your power inflator. Installation is easy and takes only a moment. Dive Alert does not require any modification of your other equipment, and it does not interfere in any way with its normal operation. When you need to get someone's attention on the water's surface, you simply press a button and Dive Alert uses a small amount of air from your scuba tank to make a piercingly 132db loud sound; even as little as 100psi will give you a full-throated screech. Questions & Answers
Question : Any shooting range owners from Florida?
In the part of Florida that I live, there is only one range with four stalls. It is expensive as well as run down. People go there only because they have no other place to go within a 50 mile radius. I decided I want to open a range myself and have already obtained so much data that my head is spinning, yet I still have some questions I am having trouble getting answered. I have the Florida State Statutes, County Codes and Zoning, The NRA Range Sourcebook (in the mail), USAF ETL 08-11: Small Arms Range Design and Construction, the EPA CFRs for lead, and have a couple of properties I am looking at in my area that meet code and would be large enough to suffice the range. The range will be an outdoor range that has 50m (X5), 100 m (X5), 300 m(X3), and 1000 m (X2) lanes that will have use a dirt backstop accompanied by a cement block wall. The range will allow for ammunition from .22 cal to .50 cal. Other than delivery of dirt my brother, cousin, dad, and friend will assist me in the construction of the stalls, measuring the Surface Danger Zone/Vertical Danger Zone, backstops, and targets. My cousin and myself are going to Orlando to become Range Safety Officers for insurance purposes. As business takes off I will be adding a skeet shoot and a tactical/obstacle course with pop-up targets and CQB scenarios, but those are not in the making yet (not until I have an established business). The building where business will be conducted will need to have retail space for accessories, gear, ammo, and guns for sale/rent (I have an application for an FFL but until I have a location of business I cannot send it in). I will also need a 125ft X 125ft room for conducting NRA, CCW, and security courses as well as offer free hunting courses (All but the hunting courses will be taught by either myself or my cousin). A bathroom and breakroom are requirements for a security training facility in my state. I know what is needed by the county, state, EPA, and BATFE in regards to licensing and regulations for the range and firearms, what I am not sure of is the business aspect. I was hoping someone who owns a range in Florida could help answer the few questions that I have left. Q1: I know the average mark-up for firearms and accessories in the area, but how can I find the cost of the firearms and accessories (wholesale/dealers price) or of any price breaks for bulk orders? The distributors will not talk to me until I have my FFL and I cannot get my FFL without a place for business and I cannot get a place of business without a business loan from a bank. Due to the economy and my age, 24, I am going to have to go to the bank with a DETAILED business plan and explain how they will get there money back.Q2: How do you pay a business loan back? Do you pay monthly payments (i.e. mortgage/car payment) or do you pay in back in a lump some with in so many years? If so what is the time frame it is to be paid back in?Q3: Do you know of any good insurance companies to cover my business (in Florida) and if so how much does it cost? Again they will not talk to me until I have a business.Q4: How much do lead removal services cost? The EPA mandates that a company has to come and remove lead from my dirt back stops and I'm sure it is not free. If I have the equipment am I allowed to do it myself?Q5: If you own an outdoor range in Fl, do you mind telling me an estimated cost of construction supplies for your outdoor range?Q6: I am looking a buying a large piece of land and I'm probably not going to find one with a building on it that suits my needs. Any ideas/suggestions on new construction vs. other options I am unaware of such as portable buildings (if they have them)Q7: What are the state and federal taxes (estimate of course) for running such a business in FL?Please, refrain from JUST telling me that this is an expensive business and that it will fail. I now that it will be expensive and that is why I need a DETAILED business plan for the bank. I am hoping for help with the few financial questions left to determine the over all cost and revenue I will need to acquire. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I appreciate and look forward to any responses.

Answer:
You are clearly motivated, but you are probably not going to get this detailed info here. Find a resource for small business development (Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Admin, local organizations that help people start businesses) ... find a couple of mentors, or offer to pay a person with a similar business in a state that is not competing with you to consult on your plan.

Question : Going on a bike trip-- any suggestions?
I'm going on a 100 mile bike trip soon, and am looking for some advice. I ride a hybrid, 7 gear bike. I'm not a very experienced biker for distances, and am looking for any tips on preparing, exercises, clothing, safety, accessories (for my bike), or any little things that would be helpful or were to you. Thanks for reading (and hopefully answering!) :)

Answer:
1. Get some comfy cycling shorts. Spend a little more money and make sure it has padding on the bottom in the shape of a bicycle seat. The ones with a single foam oval are not so great.2. Start riding as much as you physically can for as long as you can. You don't necessarily need to go out and ride 100 miles ahead of time, but if have only ridden 20 miles at a time and suddenly jump up to a century, you will bonk and bonk hard. Do not try and go hard, you are going for endurance, not all out racing. So keep your heart rate at a reasonable pace. You should be able to comfortably have a conversation with someone next to you without gasping for air. If you can't maintain a conversation, then you should slow down.3. Speaking of bonking, start taking food along with you in the form of energy bars, gels, bananas, fruit snacks, anything you can bring with you. For rides longer than 90 minutes, you will start to deplete energy stores in your body and you will start to fatigue. To counteract this, you need to continuously be eating on the bike. It takes time to digest, so you need to eat while you are riding so that your energy stores do not drop down. If you wait until you are hungry or tired, you are waiting too long. Mixing energy drinks with your water is a must as well. Although you may feel some discomfort eating solid food while exercising, most people can tolerate some sugar in their water pretty well. And since you need to continuously drink while riding, this is something you'd be doing anyway.4. Bring all the tools you need to change a flat tire with you on every ride:-extra tubes-patch kits-air pump/CO2 inflater-tire leverslearn how to use every single one of these tools and practice beforehand how to change flats and patch tubes. Nothing will ruin a long ride like being stuck out in the middle of nowhere with a flat tire and not knowing or being able to change it yourself. Carry these things on a bag attached to the bottom of your seat.At home you should have a decent floor pump to ensure that before every ride your bicycle tires are pumped up to the proper pressure. Higher pressure = less rolling resistance = faster speeds for less work = greater efficiency = fewer flats. Check your tires for a recommended tire pressure and always top off your tires. This is basically free speed!5. Start riding with a friend of club. Nothing is more motivating than knowing that if you stop someone else will have to wait for you. There are plenty of clubs like Team iN Training for people who are not used to competing. This can help you focus on your training goals.6. Learn to use your gears to your advantage. Make sure that you shift down before you get to big hells so that you are not mashing a super hard gear and wear yourself out. If you use too big a gear and try to shift down at the last minute, you run the risk of dropping a chain or losing your balance. There is no shame in using every last cog to try and get over a hill. There are plenty of hot shots who think that you should always be using the big ring no matter what. You'll find these guys cramping up 20 miles from the finish line because they over-fatigued their muscles. You should be able to spin the cranks at about 90-110 RPM. If you can count up 1-2-3-4-5-6 and your counting is in line with your pedal strokes, you are in too hard of a gear.7. Eat a big meal the night before. Not so large that you feel stuffed, but now is not the time to be skimpy with calories. You will easily burn more than 5000 calories during a century, and you need to fuel your body ahead of time. You should also eat something the morning of a big ride as well. It is pretty much impossible to consume and digest more calories on the bike than you are burning, so the only way to not run out of fuel is to pre-fuel the night and morning before.8. Know your limits. If you are not used to long endurance rides, don't be ashamed to stop from time to time to loosen up, use the bathroom, eat some food, refill your water bottle, take some pictures. Relax. You are not a pro. You're not being paid for this, so don't take it too seriously. Pushing yourself to the limit is ok, but can be very dangerous if you are not used to stressing your body so hard. Don't get hung up on miles per hour, target heart rates or any other metrics. Listen to your body. If you're breathing too hard and you're starting to cramp up, take a little time to stretch and loosen up.Good luck with your trip. Centuries are hard, but anyone really can do it. It just takes some patience, strategy, and pacing.

Answer:
I see that no one really answered you, and I'm not really going to either cause I don't know much about running a business, I was actually wondering where abouts in Florida you were looking to do this. Sounds like a great idea. I would recommend having something where people can come "rent" guns from you for a day, buy ammo and shoot them on your range. The more you have available the more people you will bring in cause everyone wants to try out certain guns before they buy them. Also this attracts non gun owners to come use your range for recreation.

Question : Airsoft equipment for someone brand new?
Budget max $ 80. However, if there is some AMAZING deal out there, $100 is as far as I can go. Please keep in mind that I need safety gear plus BBs. Since I am not too sure which airsoft guns to get, any help is appreciated. ( please include the gun, safety gear, bbs, and any other accessories that fit in the price range) ThanksDmitri, as you so far are answering all my airsoft related questions I appreciate your responses. However, even though you listed the supplies, you didn't list anything that would total less then $100, since all the AEGs you recomended were $ 90 +, could you please recomend a total airsoft cost, AEG or other airsoft rifle INCLUDED. Thank youonce again, thank you. I know you put some time into your answers. For the shotgun, when you buy those shells, do you reuse the shells, or they fire off with the BBs as well? Also, could you perhaps recomend a decent side arm with the basic other equipment for the specified price range? Since pistols run a bit cheaper I think

Answer:
The cheapest AEG's worth buying will run you about $90. Luckily, the only safety gear you need are goggles. I suppose if you buy a shotgun, you can cut the cost dramatically, but it will be far harder to use effectively.http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1484http://www.airsoftgi.com/produ ct_info.php?products_id=1485http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2881http://www.air softgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2113http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=37 97http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3662http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.ph p?products_id=2305http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=826EDIT: Of course. For decent gear and a good rifle, about $130-150 is all. Figure $100 for a rifle, $10 for BB's, $25 for goggles, and maybe another magazine or two, or a sling if one isn't included. I'll try to minimize the cost here:$95 - AEG:http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1484http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info. php?products_id=1485$20 - Spare Magazine (If you want it):http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2933$25 - Goggles:http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3662$11 - BB's:http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=826So figure about $130 ($151 for the above) for an AEG and basic safety. Answer:
Yaaaa...you don't need 95% of that stuff...lolOkay....so here is what I needed and used in the 1st weekInfant car seatStroller (I actually had 2...1 regular and 1 jogger..but the jogger was borrowed...I didn't need it, but was super glad I had it as it was easier to work with on hills and in the park etc)Diaper bagDiapers and wipesSleepers/onesies/socks/pants/shirts any other clothing you want/needCrib and crib sheetsMonitorBassinette or playyard or cradle...whatever you want to use while baby is in your room beside your bed - i still don't own a playyard, we used a borrowed cradle and that was fine...my son is 16 months...sometimes I wish I had a playyard, but you definitely do not need oneBreast pump and storage bagsBottles/nipples (if you are breastfeeding, you only need 1 or 2 bottles...I had 3 and never opened the 3rd bottle...I only used 1 and left 1 at my mom's house so that if she was watching him she could put frozen breastmilk in the bottle...hence the breast pumpThey don't need toys for some time...they don't play with toys in the first week...but it is nice to have some car seat toys for entertainmentA play mat is very nice to haveSoothers (2 or 3)Soother clipVitamin D dropsBouncer/swing...I had both, but only needed 1..he would sleep in the swing, it was awesome!Breast pads and cream (For sore nipples)Burp cloths...but you can use old towels tooInfant Bathtub (very cheep...just a regular one, you don't need the ones with hoses/showers etc)Wash cloths/towels..again you can use regular onesMild baby bath soapGripe Water (excellent for gas etc) non-alcoholicCornstarch (Not peneten etc for diaper rash) this works way better and is much milder on skin!Hmmmm...that is about it!!There are things that are nice to have...and you can totally decide and ask for those things too...but the must haves are above!Hope this helps!

Question : Gearshifter problem with my 2001 Hyundai Sonata?
I have a 2001 Hyundai Sonata (4cyl 2.4, auto trans.). When I try to start the car in park, it won't start. The battery is far from dead, however, and all the accessories come on (fans/radio/clock/lights) as usual. Now, I tried to shift it into neutral, and discovered that the gearshifter feels almost 'stuck.' It will move, but it feels like you're pulling it through clay almost, very mushy and resistive, when normally it's pretty easy to move. Also, to get the shifter safety lock to release, you normally have to step on the brake pedal a bit...but now to get it to release, I have to almost floor the brake. And then like I said, to actually move it out of park, it's very resistant, although it *does* go eventually. Now, when in neutral, the car stars normally. I can then shift it into reverse/drive and it drives normally. The AT shifts gears normally and the engine isn't running at high RPMs than normal or anything. The brakes work normally as well. It's just actually *shifting* from park/neutral/reverse/drive into anything else, that's the problem. Any idea what's going on?

Answer:
Metro,Many people know how to drive an automatic but not a stick. On this page, you can find a lot of videos on how to drive a stick shift…and they're all free.http://www.thisishowyoudoit.com/how-to-drive-a-stick-shift/After that, you just need practice. You'll figure it out in no time. Good luck,Richard

Answer:
Sounds like you've got it pretty well covered. I'm not sure I saw a compass on your list, but I probably missed it. I've included a link with more ideas.
