DRY PAK“Alligator” Wallet

Customer Review :

good can't wear under your shirt

I gave this 4 stars instead of five because the yellow part sticks up and you really can't wear it under a shirt. It is still a great product if the aim is to keep your items dry. There was no leaking when I tested it.

Treat it gingerly

Was a little less rugged than I had expected. It kept the water out and that is what we bought it for. Some mild splashing, don't think it was ever fully submerged, but it did spend hours and hours in the kiddy pool with no problems.

I was worried that I was going to rip it when I opened it, never did, though. The yellow thing on the top is really cumbersome if you want to put it in your pocket. That is the locking mechanism for the pouch.

If you want something indestructible, I wouldn't go with this. If you want something you can bring in the water and put some money and your room key in, this will do. No idea on how it's shelf life will be(plastic break down). Guess I will find out on our next vacation.

Perfect for water parks!

Lightweight, holds credit card, license, park passes and key to my car, which is all I was really concerned about having 'secure'. Have used this for 3 full days at a water park and had NO PROBLEMS. No Leaking!

Works great!

Bought one of these to keep my valuables with me at the water parks and pools this summer. Works great so far in keeping everything dry and it's the perfect size for the bare essentials: credit card, cash, and a car key. I like that the mechanism for opening the bag is not too easy because it prevents my kid from popping it open without my knowledge and ruining everything inside (she tends to grab this while it's around my neck whenever I'm holding her). The bag itself feels like rubber and seems like it should last a while.

Excellent Waterproof Case

I purchased this to keep my pedometer dry while on vacation at Myrtle Beach. I bought this case based solely on the reviews that I read on Amazon. I read several reviews that said that the case was water resistant, not waterproof, which means don't submerse it or the contents are going to get wet. Based on my personal experience I can say that it is certainly waterproof. On the last day of my vacation I forgot that I had it in my pocket and went into the ocean to play in the waves which were about 10-12 feet high. After about ten minutes I realized that I still had the case with my pedometer in my pocket. Remembering that several people said that the case wasn't waterproof, I figured that I had ruined my pedometer. Much to my surprise when I pulled the case out of my pocket I found that there was no water inside and that the pedometer was safe and dry. This is a great case and a definite buy if you want to keep your valuables dry.

DRY PAK Belt Pack

Customer Review :

Worked great

Bought it for Hawaii trip. Used it snorkeling and my son used it while surfing. Everything stayed completely dry, including the cell phone I put in it. While on the beach in Waikiki, I noticed that the lifeguards use the larger version to keep their radios dry.

Rating :

Usefull

Used this when at the beach in Central America, Held up well to keep my money and keys safe, even when surfing. Loved the strap and used it as a purse when hanging out at the beach in my bikini. Didn't use it for anything heavy, but was perfect for the beach bum backpacker.

Rating :

Does what it's supposed to do!

I ordered this pouch to take on a couple of water and snorkeling excursions we had planned. The instructions recommend that you put some paper in it and put it underwater to test it before use. Our pouch passed the test with flying colors. As an added precaution, I threw in a couple of those silica gel packs you get in shoe boxes and luggage, etc. At no point were the gel packs ever activated. The bag has a tendency to float, which is great if you somehow drop it, but could conceivably cause an issue if you were planning to use it at measurable depths of water. Our excursions did not require much depth into the water (just a couple feet under) so this did not cause a problem for us. Other reviews have mentioned problems with the strap but we did not encounter any problems with the bag or the strap and will gladly use it next time we have a water trip planned.

Lost at sea

I used this pack in Curacao while snorkeling. Had 2 driver's licenses, $40, and ships cards. The pack released from the carabiner clip and was lost. DON"T BUY IT!

Great Item!

This item was definitely worth it! Kept my most important items dry while I snorkeled on Roatan Island. Fits most important things, small camera, keys, money, id's, etc. I like the fact it ties around your waist vs. your neck. I highly recommend it for your next water adventure!

Kwik Tek Tow Harness Self Centering Pulley 12 Feet

I didn't even know I needed this until I bought the associated tow rope. This thing made hooking the rope to my boat easy! I like it.

Rating :

great harness

This harness works great and the pulley system worked flawlessly. The harness is built very well and looks like it should last a long time.
I purchased this to be used with the Kwik Tek Big Slice Inflatable Towable. The harness and towable work great. It has been a long time since I have had so much fun on the water.

Rating :

Good Product - Clips too Small

I "ditto" an earlier post - the product looks like a winner, but the clips are too small to attach to my pontoon. I would think these sorts of things are pretty uniform across the industry, so I'm guessing that a lot of people will have the same problem.

Close but no cigar.

Rating :

Great product

Product received in a timely manner. I used the product and it works great, it was money well spent!!

Rating :

Clips are too small

The harness works very well but when i received the product and the clips were too small for my boat. All i had to do was buy some chain links to attach to my boat and then attach the harness to those. Other than the clips being small the pully worked just like it should. If you are going to buy this harness i would plan on buying some chain links for about a $1.50 a piece at menards or your local hardware store.

saved the airbed

We were ready to throw away the airbed (Coleman). This patch was easy to put on and worked just fine. We used the bed every night for two weeks after repairing it. Would recommend the patch kit.

My inflatable bed works again!!!

A tiny investment gave me my beloved inflatable aerobed back! Follow the directions, and it will save yours, too.

Feeble Instructions

If you're a good guesser, your patch will be strong and reliable. Or see tips below.

This kit was thrown together with little interest in product design or helpfulness.

-The instructions don't tell you which side of the patch should get the adhesive (the two sides have different textures).

-The instructions don't tell you if a thick or thin coat of adhesive should be used, or whether you should apply the patch quickly while it's wet.

-There's enough cement for 40+ repairs, but only 4 patches are included.

-The tube of cement has various warnings, but gives no info on what the substance is.

-The instructions are in English and French, but not Spanish.

The patches are a good thickness (30 mil), and over 2" diameter.

For field repairs, better to bring pressure-sensitive (tape-like) patches. The tube of cement is about 5" long and the kit says: "wait 24 hours before inflating for best results."

Tips: I tried a thick coat of cement, applied the patch quickly (while wet) and lightly clamped it. Worked well.

Questions & Answers
Question : Rentals for waterskiing and tubing?
I am going to Point Sebago (a resort in Maine) and they don't rent waterskies or tubes there. Is there any place near Point Sebago I can rent tubes or waterskies?

Answer:
I think you're stuck. I've never really heard of anyplace anywhere that rents water skis or tubes. I researched to see if there would be any resorts offering lessons, but no luck. I saw one picture of a water skier, but the resorts I found in the area offered boats for rent, but nothing about skis or tubes. It's probably and insurance matter. Your best bet is probably to pack or ship your own skis or tube to the lake or else to simply buy or borrow a tube while you're up there. You might even check out Craig's list in the state of Maine to see if you can find a cheap tube or skis in the area.I did a quick search of CL and found one tube for sale for$150 in the Windham, ME area. That's about 10 miles southeast of Sebago Lake. Don't know how the price strikes you. The price for a used tube seems steep to me. It's a two person ride on top tube and I'll leave the link down below. The bad news is that the only water skis that came up were more reasonably priced, $67, but they were in Denmark. That's probably a little bit too far to pick them up.

Question : Is the Deleware okay for waterskiing/wakeboarding?
Is it too nasty, small, wavy, etc.

Answer:
Is it too nasty, small, wavy, etc.

Question : if i texted someone im about to go waterskiing and they replied try not to fall whats a flirty thing to reply?
if i texted someone im about to go waterskiing and they replied try not to fall whats a flirty thing to reply?

Answer:
Ill only fall for you.

Question : How do I do a back-flip waterskiing?
What I really want to ask is if it is possible for me to do the back-flip that you can do while wakeboarding when you use the wake as a ramp so you can do the backflip... I don't really know if you can do that with skis but if someone has done it or knows someone that has, please tell me and also how to do it!! Thanks a bunchh

Answer:
http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/catalog.cgi?cname=Trick-Waterskis&r=browse&aID=600A4you want to use trick skis but not like the old school kind. Hit the wake- flip- land....that's all there is to it.

Question : what muscles do i need for waterskiing and wakeboarding?
im going wakeboarding and waterskiing in a couple of months for the first time and i want to be good. how can i be good without actually having to do it? what muscles do i need to work? you get what im getting at. hopefully.. thanks. btw i dont normally ask such wierd and random questions :D

Answer:
I love both water sports!! Make sure your triceps are toned, if not you'll be hurting. It would also be smart of you to make sure you have strong hamstrings and abdomens. Don't sweat it, you'll be a natural. Be sure to stretch before getting out there, oh and wear goggles! Have fun.

Question : Need answers from the waterskiing crowd - best flying inflatable?
Dear Everybody,You know those newerish inflatables that are made to catch air while the riders cling on for dear life?I want to know what the absolutely coolest, funnest multi-rider towable is.

Answer:
You mean a kite tube?In that case: I really like the Wego Kite tube, we have one and it is very fun and enjoyable. However there have been some lawsuits involving two deaths with these types of tubes: http://www.kitetubelawsuits.com/ but i have never seen anything bad happen so just be careful and have fun!

Question : Besides swimming and waterskiing, which outdoor sports do you like to play barefoot?
I am considering martial arts, yoga and gymnastics as indoor.

Answer:
Grass-court tennis. Also golf on certain courses when it's not dry - Sam Snead played barefoot most of the time when he was young.

Question : Does anyone have any tips for slalom waterskiing?
I've been waterskiing for 2 years, and I've become pretty good with two skis, but everytime i try to slalom, i can't accomplish anything! I can drop a ski, and go in and out of the wake, and i can also start with one ski and go in and out of the wake, but i can't maintain balance! I have great balance, but i swerve out of control when i make sharp turns. I want to know if I'm doing something wrong..? help!!

Answer:
don't even think going into the slalom course yet. sounds like you need to balance your weight better. if you feel all swervey in the turns you probably have too much weight on the rear foot. also, try to keep the ski on one edge ot the other. a flat ski will get squirrely on you and bounce you over the wakes, which gets you off balance. your grip should be one hand over, one under(one palm up, the other down) left foot forward generally means right palm up. a wakeboard grip will be counter-productive to water skiing. don't try to turn too sharp. ease your way into getting the feel of the ski carving. pull accross the wake (remember, on edge). over the 2nd wake think "back arm pressure" at that point shift weight slightly forward to slow the ski down, then point both toes to the direction you want to turn. don't forget to smile!

Question : what is best position to adopt in water for waterskiing?
i am trying 2 self teach how 2 waterski, but cant seem 2 find right position once in water. always end up with skis behind me and cant seem to turn around to get going.

Answer:
when i learned to waterski, my friends dad told me to imagine sitting on the toilet (rediculous thought, but it worked). basically, my knees were at about a 90 degree angle, and the skis were pointed at about a 45 degree angle. when you feel that you are getting up onto the water, that is the time to stand up. it takes some time to figue out the timing. it sounds to me that your knees aren't bent enough. try leaning back a little more, and keep trying! i fell about 30 times before i first got up.

Question : What is harder: wakeboarding or waterskiing?
I really want to learn to wakeboard and waterski but I want to start out with the easier one. Is it harder to WATERSKI ON TWO SKIS or WAKEBOARD? please helppppp!

Answer:
It will take you a couple tries no matter which one you choose. Wake-boarding is easier because you just shift your weight when the boat gets moving, skiing requires a little more balance. I also think wake-boarding is more fun :DDont forget, for either one, start in a cannon ball position with you knees up to your chest and straight arms. Keep them straight, don't try to pull yourself up with your arms, that's why most people fall, let the boat do all the work.
