Customer Review :

good basic trainer.....a bit loud.

Unless you have a lot of cash to burn or are some amazing cyclist, this is a good first trainer. A bit loud but we just turn up the tv or ipod.

Wish I'd bought this years ago!

Great product, I wish I'd bought one years ago. Simple, sturdy, easy to use, and an awesome value. Its small enough to use anywhere & flat works as intended.

Great for the price

Others have mentioned the noise. If you crank the flywheel tight against your rear bicycle tire and use a high gear, you do get some noise. Just turn the radio or TV up a little. Comes with an extra axle or spindle which I didn't need. No assembly required. Works great with my 30 year old road bike. Just put a scrap piece of 2 x 6 under the front tire to keep it level. Only issue I have had is the flywheel backs off my rear tire a bit after peddling for a while. The big screw is a little too greased up maybe. Beats the heck out of the exercycle I used to have. I was looking for something inexpensive so I could exercise in the winter. This is heavy duty and fits the bill.

More than I expected.

The Bell trainer was ready to go right out of the box. The only glitch was the photo /directions were unclear as to the purpose of the rod w/springs included with the stand. Eventually I figured it out but it did have me puzzled for a while. Set up was easy and the fact that I also had purchased the Balckburn track stabilizer with 3 different heights for the front wheel made the entire package complete. Other reviews have noted the loud noise while riding. I also found this to be true, but because I'm using a mountain bike with extremly knobby tires, I expected the noise. I believe with smooth street tires the noise would be greatly reduced. The trainer seems to be well built and durable, surprising for it's low cost, and because I'm an amatuer rider, it really fits the bill.

Love it!!

Bought this to train for a triathalon...love it! It's not too noisy, I can ride and watch tv:)!! Shopped around before purchasing and this was definately the best price. Would reccommend this to a friend.

Excellent tool

It is a great tool to have. It is awesome that so many functions in a little computer can be bought for such a ridiculous price.
I'm very happy so far with it althought I bought it very recently, therefore reliability and durability are yet to be seen. Again, for the price paid I cannot demand much more.

Not well designed

I encountered two issues with this speedometer. First, the battery could not set itself correctly. I had to constantly remove the back cover and "jiggle" the battery to get things working. The second complaint is that the sensor would not pick up the signal from the magnet unless it was sufficently close (1/16 of an inch). For all practical purposes, I couldn't use this speedometer.

I subsequently bought a different speedometer for $25 and got everything working in 5 minutes. The sensor did not have any issues picking up the signal from the magnet at the typical distance between the fork and spoke.

The cheap price was not worth the aggravation.

Not Perfect - But Great Buy

You simply can't beat this bike computer for the price.

I was looking at computers in the $200 range, and then decided it couldn't hurt to try this cheapie and see if it works. (Worst case: I'm only out a few bucks, and end up spending $200 anyway in a month or two.)

However, after the install, it has worked well. Without a doubt, it's worth the price... and it makes me wonder what the profit margin is on those other deluxe brands!

It's not terribly intuitive, is difficult to work on the road -- I just keep the scan mode on and hope my eye catches the data I'm looking for -- and has limited display options.

Nevertheless, it works. And it's crazy inexpensive.

If/when this one fails, I would buy a new one.

Great Bike Computer

Don't be put off by the price. It's accurate, reliable and durable. I've had two of the 12-function Schwinn computers for around a year, needed another and this one was a few dollars cheaper ($10). It's almost the same except that the 17-function has temperature, and a couple of other features you probably won't use. They all still work.

As with any of these, the key is to set the tire size correctly and learn how to work the buttons. I simply use the left one to toggle the trip time and distance displays, and to reset the trip, and seldom need to fidget with anything else.

Rating :

Can't be beat.

For a whopping $10, this is bar-none, the best computer out there. Heck, it even has temp, and backlighting you can see.

Best of all, it actually works, and works well.

Only thing I would do, is make one in black. Schwinn would then put alot of the other lower end computer companies out of business.

Pleased with Cateye CC-RD300W

Cateye CC-RD300W was delivered quicly and works as promised in the website. I only regret that I did not realize it does not include "cadence" meter and that was probably my mistake. Other than that, I am very pleased with it.

Rating :

This bicycle computer is a pleasure to use!

I recently installed the Cateye CC-RD 300W Strada Wireless bicycle computer on my Pugsley snowbike. Since I ride this bike in the snow, I am usually wearing gloves. It is easy for me to change the selection of features to read on the computer with my gloves on because to do so requires only pressure on the bottom of the computer to change features. There are no small buttons to push.

Great Wireless Computer

Easy to install on your bike and easy to setup. Simple to use, and it has all the basic functions you need. Great value!

Rating :

Awesome

Pros:
-Simple to use
-Easy to set up
-Responds fast (with 0.1 mph increments)

Cons:
-Doesn't have cadence or heart rate... but that doesnt really matter to a beginner.
-A little pricey for what it does... but the wireless makes it so easy to set up.

This is the 3rd bike computer I tried, and its great!

Rating :

Great Computer

I have been using a Strada Double Wireless on my bike since last August, and liked it so much that I purchased the Strada Wireless for my wife, as she didn't want the cadence feature. It's small size makes a nice installation and it looks great on the bike. Even though it is small, it is very easy to read.

Bike helmet for infants

I ordered this helmet after reading other reviews and attempting to buy a helmet to fit a 14 month old. All of the helmets I tried were too large, more geared for 2 year olds, or larger toddlers. This helmet is a good fit for smaller heads, and the parents loved the bright design. Definitely a good product.

Perfect Helmet for your Little One

Nothing bad at all to say about this helmet. If you are on the fence...get this. It's got the nice knob feature that you can use to snug it down around your little one's head. Once our little guy got used to having a helmet on his head he was fine...doesn't mind it at all! Would offer great protection too! Let's hope he doesn't need it!!

Fantastic Helmet!

Fantastic Helmet!
Thanks to Giro for making a helmet that actually fits my infant!! The adjustment is fantastic, it really allows for good fit on the littles one, which is so important. It's a little too cold now, but I've been getting my 1 year old used to the helmet, so that once the weather warms up, she and Mommy can hit the road! The quality is fantastic, exatly what I expect from Giro. I have a Giro adult helmet and the quality of the infant helmet is just as good. Plus, the graphics on the helmet are adorable, colorful, and bright - a thumbs up for safetly, quality, and fun! We will get many happy biking miles out of this helmet!

Rating :

Great helmet. It's still a little 'baggy' though

Even though my little on meets the minimum head size it still seems a little baggy. maybe head shape has something to do with it. I love it any way. It's a great quality helmet. i look forward to using it for years to come.

Rating :

perfect for little ones 6+ months

I tried a few helmets before getting the Giro...ALL the bike shops suggested this one but I was stubborn and wanted to find out for myself, of course. It really is the best...the back nob to twist the helmet to the correct size is soooo easy and there is no pinching at all. I got this for my 1 year old and it could easily be used for a 6 month old also. It's super light weight and it has a flat back which is great for not pushing them forward while in the bike seat. The best price was on Amazon for sure and I ordered a few other things as well so I got the free shipping.....7-10 days NOT TRUE....3 DAYS....I got it in 3 days!! Amazing! Only order from Amazon....it's the best!

The CycleOps Riser Block's unique three level design, let's you pick a height for your front tire that will make your trainer riding time more comfortable and productive. You'll train harder and longer, because you'll be riding a more natural position.

Customer Review :

A well needed accessory

This is a very much needed piece to complete the training setup. It keeps the bike level and stabilizes the front wheel. I feel this should almost be included with the purchase of the trainer.

CycleOps Training Block

Great product. I little "chunck-ier" than I was imagining, but it works great. Much better than using a phonebook!

Rating :

great block

I was amazed by the size of this block. From the picture I would have though it was about 6 to 8 inches wide. Its not its about 12 inches wide and about 4 inches tall. I know that some people have had a hard time distinguishing which groove they were using to hold the tire steady. This is how I tell the difference between all three. I look at the yellow dot in the center and each groove has a different height from the yellow dot. Its pretty easy to see the difference from one to the other and just remember which one I used before. I am really glad I have this block and would highly recommend it. My front wheel does not move at all even when I stand up to peddle.

Rating :

Works well, even for hard, standing intervals

The block was a little lighter than I had expected, but works fine. It holds the front wheel securely. It is also large enough that it is stable, even when I'm doing hard, standing intervals.

Rating :

Not a "Climbing" block

It doesn't matter how high your front wheel is, it will not simulate an actual hill climb because you are not working against gravity. It can only simulate your *position* on the bike when climbing a hill. If you want to simulate the important part of a climb, i.e. having to work harder to gain elevation, crank up the resistance on your trainer.
