Terrible design!

ok.. I am coming from a hard tail seat which on my mountain bike .... and it was slick and easy to slid in and out of.

This has some nice padding... but not as good as I would have thought it would be. It was still hard in the tail when riding.

ok here is why I rated it LOW:

The material makes your pants/shorts grab when you push back into the seat. It is NOT sleek like most seats. For that it is coming off right away!

Really Nice Seat!

Really glad I picked this seat to replace my original hard as a rock seat. Riding my bike is so much more enjoyable. The seat is nice and comfortable, yet sturdy. If you are looking for a nice comfortable, cushy seat, this seat is for you.

Must Have Seat for Long Riders

I just recently started riding to and from work on a bike and my first experience was a painful one. I was riding a Trek Mountain bike with the standard seat. Add into the mix that I'm about 6'2 and weigh about 230 lbs. (one of the reasons I began riding)and I carry about a 40 lbs. pack on my back (school items and God knows what else) and you can probably tell I had one painful ride (about 8.5 miles each way). After two days of riding on the standard Trek seat my groin area went numb and I decided it was time to get a quality seat. This seat is very inexpensive and made my ride A LOT more enjoyable!

It's pretty easy to install, but if you're not comfortable working on your bike and you want to play it safe I'd recommend you take it to a bike shop and let the pros handle it. However, this is not necessary because it really is pretty simple to install. I used two sets of pliers on mine and it has been secure since.

One thing I am concerned about, more because it is annoying rather than unsafe, is that my seat squeaks a good bit when I lean forward on it. This could be because I am on the heavier side right now, but it's good to know in case you're around my weight.

Overall, I'm very happy with this seat. The price is low and the quality is high. I highly recommend this seat to anyone traveling long distances. For the price, it's absolutely worth a try.

I'm not an experienced biker. I bought a $75 mountain bike from Wal-Mart to take on occasional camping trips and get me from place to place around town. Therefore, I did not want an expensive seat either. However, I don't think it takes an experienced rider to know what comfort feels like, and this seat definitely delivers in that category. With the stock seat I was limited to about 8 miles before it became unbearable to sit on and made me sore for two days after. $20 later, with the new Schwinn seat, ride time is no longer an issue, now I just need to make sure I bring enough water.

Maybe a little too heavy for my 19 month old, but he will grow into it soon

We chose this balance bike because it can be adjusted lower than any other metal one. The seat AND the handlebars do go low enough for our 19 month old (32 inches tall, 23 pounds), but it is a little too heavy for his upper body strength (or lack thereof). Or it could be a confidence issue with him, as it is very different from his 1st "bike" which is a 4-wheeled Radio Flyer scooter. For now, he chooses his old, comfortable one. We are still very happy with the Strider, as he will grow into it.

Amazing!

I really didn't know if this bike was going to live up to the hype but it DID! My son (3.5) hopped on and took off. Within a day, he had easily mastered walking it and was starting to really pick up his legs. By the end of the month, he was coasting far. Make sure to find some little hills or ramps - that's where I realized he really "got it". I love how light it is and how well it fits him. It's just SO fun!

Super investment!

I ordered this for my 3 yr old daughter and she LOVES it! The first time out she was wobbly and unstable... by the end of the week she was cruising down the sidewalks with her feet up. This is a great bike and I would recommend it to anyone with a tot wanting/needing a bike! It is so lightweight she can carry it by herself and it's a cinch for me to hang in the garage. 5 stars!

Great beginner bike for toddlers

After reading the reviews, I was a little concerned about the quality of this bike compared to the price. But I was happy when we opened the box and put the bike together in seconds. The quality is great and my 2 yr old is pretty rough with his new bike. He hasn't quite mastered it yet, but is too short for a traditional bike with pedals and training wheels. I would recommend this bike without reservation!

Excellent

We bought this bike for son's 2nd birthday and he loves it. After a few days he was able to go for 2 mile rides with my husband. He looks adorable riding next to my husband as he is so small compared to my husband on his bike. People in cars are always talking to them as they pass bc it's so cute and they are impressed to see someone so small on two wheels. We also get tons of positive comments on the playgrounds from other parents.

The biggest problem is that I can't keep up with my son on foot while he is riding(and we have a baby I have to push in the stroller)so he can't ride the bike as often as he wants to and that leads to serious temper tantrums.

Great bike esp for a smaller child. I highly recommend it!

The mount sucks, but the lock is solid and so far my bike is still in my possession.

Definitely a good luck

I love this lock. It's very reliable and the cable is very useful to tie your seat to it if you have a quick release one. It was to big but if you attach it to the vertical bar of your bike with a slight angle (you can adjust it) it won't bother you. At first uses you will hurt your hand pulling it out of its place but it gets better and it is also easier if you open the lock and then pull out the U part.

Great value for a nice lock and cable set...

This is a great bike lock/cable combo. It's larger than I expected which really has been a good thing since I have never had a problem securing my bike with this lock. It also cam with a mounting bracket so you can attach it to your bike frame and not have to carry this in a back pack. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy again.

Great, reliable lock system

Great lock, secures the bike and the wheel with ease. My neighbor had a high-end cable lock (no u-lock) and used it to secure her bike to her porch rail three days ago. The cable was cut last night and the bike is already gone. Drop a few bucks for this set. Cheaper than a new bike.

really good lock

I wanted to have a really good lock, because by old bike got stolen and a lot of other bikes in my area too. so I bought this one and the OnGuard Bulldog MINI DT, because I thought it is better to have two not too expensive locks than one really expensive. The bike before also had a quite expensive lock, but still got stolen. But now I only use both locks at night. This one is totally enough to lock it during the day. Nearly everyone in my area uses this one now.
And though it is quite big, it is not too heavy to carry it with you. I always have it hanging on my handlebar while riding.
Best buy for this price!

nice product

I am a thin adult female and these fit me pretty well. I liked how it was tough on the outside, so it provided strong protection, but it had gel inside to cushion and comfort your joints during a fall. Very pleased.

Works for my 2 and 3 1/2 year olds!

I was looking for pads that would work for my 2 year old son and my 3 1/2 year old daughter. I didn't want to buy the cheesy ones that they make for little kids, especially since I couldn't find any that didn't come prepackaged with helmets (they already have new helmets). I wanted pads because my 2 year old loves to ride his scooter and he's quite the daredevil! So, before he left most of his skin on the pavement, I wanted to try to prevent this.

I was worried that these pads would be too big. But there is a surprising amount of give with the straps. They fit both my kids (who are on the stockier sides for their ages, but not huge) with the knee pads over clothing and the elbow pads both over clothing and on their bare arms. The kids think they're fun. Both sets of pads stayed on pretty well and would protect their little joints in a fall.

We got these when my son got a rip stik. He has yet to learn how to ride, but he uses them for roller skating on the sidewalk. They've seen their fair share of falls and they hold up really well. I highly recommend them, even on skinny boys like my son.

knee and elbow pads

These pads are easy to put on and remove and seem to work well. We haven't had a serious enough spill to test them thoroughly yet. I also like the net bag for keeping them together when they are not being used.

They just plain work in the safety department but a little uncomfortable after some time. They don't fit perfect because they are designed for a youth but they will get the average adult out into the woods and keep you safe while mountain biking.

Best tool ever!

I like this product because I needed a tool to help me maintain different parts of my bicycle. Before this tool, I had to fumble around looking for the correct tool, which made bicycle repair/maintenance tasks frustrating. I would get annoyed if I didn't have the right tool on hand, which sometimes would make a fairly easy task onerous. With this product, repair/maintenance tasks on my bicycle are a snap. Worth every single penny.

Well i received the tool kit the other day and had a chance to use it today, so far i'm liking it, it seems like it should last me some time there are only a few things that i do not like about it:
It's kinda small i was hoping it was bigger
The two spoke wrenches don't seem to fit my spokes... i have a 26" mongoose (the tires are pretty wide i think they are like 2.35" at least)

overall i'd buy it again, its probably alot more expensive to buy all the tools seperate, but then they'd probably last longer this this will.

AWESOME Bicycle Tool

The Alien II is a great size, heavy duty and handy tool. It has durable construction and Amazon offers it at a very reasonable/affordable price, especially with free shipping! The only flaw that I have found with it, and it may very well just be my particular tool, is after separating the tools, when you go to re-attach the unit, the locking mechanism seems a bit loose/faulty. Aside from that, it comes with a wonderful pouch to carry the tools around -- I would recommend this.

Okay, but has its flaws

Unfortunately had to send the first one back to Amazon - excellent return service by the way. The tool is held together using a small catch which was defective. For the price I expected it to work. The replacement tool also has a defective catch, so I am guessing its a bad run on their production line. The catch is slightly better on this one, i.e. the tool holds together most of the time.
One comment on the Allen keys (wrenches?). They are all metric and will not fit the bolt on the iBert Safe-t-seat. You will still need to carry around the Allen key that iBert send to you. I really wish the US was metric.
