Half round high density foam roller
Although this product appeared to be the one my PT uses, it does not seem as firm or as sturdy.

Gets the job done
When I look at this product, the phrase, "what you see is what you get," comes to mind, for that's exactly the case with this. I bought this knowing how it would feel, what it would look like, etc. I've used it a few times since I ordered it and it gets the job done quite well. I have problems with knots forming in my back, so this has done wonders to help loosen them up a bit.
Great product. would recommend to anyone.

Just what I needed for my physical therapy clinic
Believe it or not, I've asked several of my patients to buy this 1/2 foam roller for their balance exercises. I start them off on the white regular density one and when they're good at that, I tell them to buy this one to continue their exercises at home. It's actually one of my more fun treatment regimens.

excellent
I was skeptical about the quality based on the price, but I was pleased with the high quality foam that I received.

firmness
This roller was too firm for me but Netfitco was great to work with to find the right firmness and was speedy with delivery!

Survey says...XXX!!!
Just received this roller three days ago. It has already completely lost its shape and is basically useless! Save your money and buy a dense (black) roller (like I just had to do). I bought this to roll my IT bands and the thing now looks like a deformed hour glass. I have to try to "uniformly deform" this thing (left, right, middle) each time I try to use it. I only weigh 152 lbs. and as I said, I only used it for the ITB. Again, buy a dense roller(i.e. black one).

handy and versatile
I like the material as it doesn't easily wear out. But I realized longer than 24" is better to cover my entire back where my actual problem is....

Great beginner Foam Roller
I've had this roller for over 6 months, usually people say these things will last only 6 months before they lose their shape, but mine has held up pretty well, even with frequent usage. Its starting to lose its shape a little bit, but its expected.
Its a great one to use if you're just starting out using foam rollers, but if you've used foam rollers before, and you're looking for something more intense get a high density one, or that trigger point one, cus you'll wear this one out really quick.

Lost its shape
I bought this to roll my shins and calves (I am a runner and have shin splints). It lost its shape almost immediately -- became very bumpy and doesn't roll well (or give enough pressure on my shins and calves anymore).
Rating :
It's only OK -- spend more for a better quality roller
I was really excited when I first got this foam roller because it seemed like it would be really durable. Unfortunately, after only about a month of occasional use, it has already lost its round shape. It's not totally flat, but it's not round enough to roll on effectively. I can still use it to work on trigger points in a static position, but it is frustrating that it didn't last longer. I do think the blue ones are more durable than the white rollers, but not as good as the black ones.
There is a black foam roller at the gym that really holds up well, so I think I'll ditch this blue one and pay a few more bucks to get an extra-firm black foam roller. I used to have problems with shin splints and sore hips from running, but the foam rollers really are effective. For my shins, I just roll my tibialis (shin) muscles after running, and it gets rid of soreness very well.
So, this was good enough to give me an introduction to foam rollers to let me know they are effective for deep tissue massage, but not durable enough to last. At least I could get used to using it in the privacy of my own home instead of feeling silly trying to figure it out at the gym. Also, when i order a new one, I will get the 36 inch like they have at the gym, because you can lay your whole spine down on it lengthwise at that length to work out kinds in your erector spinae muscles.

Editorial Review :
Hi Density Foam Rollers are extra firm and will last much longer then White single construction foam rollers. This foam roller is 36" in length and 6" in diameter. It can be used to enhance balance, body awareness, muscle re-education, flexibility, myofacial release and dynamic strength. Dense foam construction of rolls provides firm support for all body types. Foam rollers are an essential tool for Pilates core abdominal, back stabilization and strengthening. Foam rollers are used as a balance training tool to improve balance for sports and everyday exercises. They are also an excellent aid for self massage of the upper and lower back, calf, hamstring, glutes and quads.
Customer Review :
Can't go wrong!
This is the roller you want. Does exactly what a foam roller should do.

Rolling rolling rolling...
Bought this a few months ago and use it regularly (although not as much as I should). Works very well and has held up.
I have nothing bad to say about this product. I would definitely recommend this foam roller.
Rating :
Essential tool for after long runs
This roller has really helped cut down on soreness after long runs (I am training for a 1/2 and full marathons). Quality seems to be a bit better than the ones available at my gym.

Basic black therapy in a simple roll of foam!
My physical therapist had me try a foam roll at her office and suggested that I get one for home since it had been a excellent way to stretch my upper back and thoracic outlet area where I was having difficulty. Despite being "hard" (these are not comfy, squishy foam but firm) it is incredibly relaxing and offers a great stretch by simply lying on it lengthwise and opening your arms in various positions including overhead. I understand there are also exercises and other uses which might make it even more versatile, but I am happy simply lying on it for 15 minutes per day and getting a relaxing stretch to maintain my improvement with P.T.
Concerning the size: I am rather short (5 feet)and the 36 inch length goes the length of my spine with a bit to spare, but a very tall person might find it difficult to "fit" on it lengthwise.
This model is a more expensive than the one that my therapist uses, but has a smoothed surface in black which I prefered to have around the house, and which I thought might hold up better. The only reason that it gets 4 stars rather than 5 is that this model is really identical in feel to my therapist's $10- model now that I have tried them both. The therapist's is white and a bit fuzzy from use...but has obviously held up with much greater daily usage. The asthetic is nice but I might have saved myself some money by going with the simpler white version. Therefore, I can't say for sure that the color is worth the additional cost since the durability of either would be equal.
Overall, though, this is a great product. Simple but very useful.

Great Roller for tight knotted muscles.
I have never heard of this type of muscle massager / roller until I came across some of the reviews searching for a massager.
Was hesitant since there were so many different types and sizes. I purchased this one based on the color and density and love it. It comes with a piece of paper with some basic roller excercises to get you started and you can find more on the internet. This one is firm and seems like it will last for a long time.

happy bosu-er
If you've considered buying one of these, do it now. This is the best price around. This will take your home workouts to the next level!

Pricey - but a great investment!
I have always been concerned with fitness - first, when I was playing sports; now, just as a way to maintain my health. I had been considering purchasing a Bosu for awhile - but the price had always outweighed the benefits in my mind (and wallet!) I finally decided to buy one, and I'm glad I did! Finding good "tools" for working on balance while developing functional strength is not always easy. The Bosu solves that problem. There are a LOT of exercises that you can do with it - both upper and lower body - and all are very important in terms of working on your balance (including the small, usually overlooked stabilizer muscles), while at the same time developing the functional strength that we ALL need in our daily lives.
If you can afford to buy one - I recommend it!

Bosu balance ball
Very good product. Purchased primarily to help my kids train for sports. Great for balance.

Great Therapy!
My husband underwent knee replacement surgery 2 years ago. He said the therapists in rehab used the BOSU in the therapy sessions. He has now had his 2nd knee replacement and we bought the BOSU for some "In-home" therapy. I have started to use the BOSU as well. It's hard to believe that this product can produce such great results!

Editorial Review :
Trigger Point Performance is proud to announce the Arrival of The GridTM, which represents the latest advancement in foam rolling. This revolutionary tool features our unique DistrodensityTM Zones, something you won't find on a traditional foam roller. Distrodensity is a unique matrix of varying widths and densities that allows for a precision massage based on unique and individual needs.Just as a massage therapist uses different parts of the hand and arm to manipulate different muscle groups, The Grid's Distrodensity Foam Zones enable you to apply varying amounts of pressure to help massage and release tight muscles. The Grid is portable and durable- There is no need to lug around or store a big chunk of foam; we've engineered The Grid to provide the perfect blend of portability and size. Despite its lightweight, portable nature, The Grid is tough- it can support more than 500 lbs of weight. Try that with your traditional foam roller!
Customer Review :
Wow
I've been suffering from chronic compartment syndrome in my lower legs for years. It requires surgery to fix, but this little device has relieved and prevented so much pain since I got it that I'd have paid 3x as much.
Rating :
Better than foam
Sturdy, compact and great design that really targets those extremely painful areas (like your IT bands). I've used foam rollers before and the TiggerPoint Grid is a much better product.
Rating :
Hard core - literally
Still too soon to tell how I'll really like it, but it's very sturdy and has some directions (which I still need to unravel). Can already tell it'll be great for my back, butt and legs. Nice price (basically the same as the company's website)
Rating :
The Best Roller I've Used
I've used other foam rollers and this is by far the best. The traditional solid-foam rollers only last a short period before they become crushed and ineffective. The GRID provides a better and deeper massage due to its unique design of foam wrapped around a hard plastic core. I've had mine for over a year now; I use it almost every day and it has held up perfectly.
Rating :
GRID FOAM ROLLER
This is a fantastic roller and really gets the knots and tension out of your muscles. It is very sturdy and works on all body types and weight. It helps you to stay more limber and lessens your pain before and after working out. I highly recommend this foam roller - the small design is nice because it doesn't take up much room and you can travel with it.

Question : Wobble board vs Bosu Balance Trainer?
Hi! Which is better the Bosu Balance Trainer (the half ball) vs a Wobble board - (you might find at a high name sporting good store) ? Thanks !
Answer:
my gym offers bosu classes, awesome for your "balance muscles" I have only ever stood on a wobble board once(that was enough) The bosu offers more support, less chance of injuring your delicate ankles! As a bonus, if you like the idea of the wobble board, you can turn the ball part of the bosu over(after all bosu stands for "both sides up")Hope this helps, good luck!

Question : Why do the trainers use the big inflated ball?
Sorry for the lack of better terms, but I don't know the correct terminology for that large ball that people try and balance themselves on. I know it provides a way to gain better balancing, but what else does it do? It seem like a waste of time to me.
Answer:
It's an exercise ball and it is good for a great many things. You can do an entire workout on every part of your body with one of them! I use it as a bench for dumbbell presses, an ab machine, workout my hamstrings and back, do push-ups on it (much harder!), and work my thighs by putting it against a wall behind my back and squatting. The ball exercises are my favorite part of my weight training. My trainer said all you need to workout is an exercise ball and those stretchy bands. Voila! Complete home gym. :)I also use it as a chair so I work my abs when just sitting.

Question : How to clean dirty surface marks off suede?
Hi i bought a lovely pair of brown suede new balance trainers last week and forgot to spray them with the suede protection aerosol, it chucked it down with rain yesterday and i now have dirty surface marks in the light (caramel) brown suede!!?!?!!? ARGH! Is there anything i can do? I haven't tried anything yet as i really don't want to just smudge the marks across! Please please someone HELP me!thank you..
Answer:
My experience with suede has been that the only way to remove surface marks is with a suede brush. They can be purchased at many stores or the local shoe repair shop. Usually, any kind of liquid cleaner just makes things worse.
