Changed my life at work

After transitioning to a new job where I sit at a computer the majority of the day, I was having nerve issues in my legs -- this disc changed my life! I am an extremely active person and the nerve issues were affecting my daily runs, productivity at work and overall health. I sit on the disc pretty much all day. No longer do I have pain radiating down my legs and I'm less fidgety. Its improved my posture, too. I'm back to normal, thanks to the disc!

Not so sure about this....

I purchased this for my 9 year old thinking it might help him while he's doing school work. I'll change my review if the situation changes or I figure out I'm doing something wrong, but really it's like a cushion for my son. He doesn't have to exert any effort whatsoever to balance on it. It came fully blown up, so I released some air thinking that might help, but it didn't. So far this product has not met my expectations in helping an ansty child use some energy up while focusing on his work for short periods of time.

Rating :

great product and a good price

This is a very sturdy balance disc. I use it to stand on as well as to sit on to improve my core strength.

Hurts!

Am I doing something wrong? I inflated it, sat on it (smooth side) and within 15 min my shoulder started hurting and my 'seat' went from pain to numb.

Tried it for a few days and it caused neck and back pain and was not comfortable. I gave it away to someone to use for the floor exercises.

Excwellent Buy

I have been using it close to a month now. Its been wonderful. I enjoy sitting on it. And it doesn't seem to have lost any air in this one month. I expected the pump to be very flimsy, but it was not that bad at all. Overall a very good buy.

It can be used to enhance balance, body awareness, muscle re-education, flexibility, myofacial release and dynamic strength. Dense foam construction of rolls provides firm support for all body types. Customer Review :

perfect foam roller

this foam roller is perfect for me. the roller is quality eva foam material , same density as the ones for 10-15 dollars more. I am in a class , and we use these foam rollers alot, a few of us bought our own , so I compared mine to there's ,I got a good deal , without any compromise in quality. the standard ones ,in our gym, like the white foam rollers , are softer , and get a little squished looking,I like the "eva"foam.it holds up better.

Very well made Foam Roller

This is very well made foam roller. There is about a 3/8" layer of "cushion" on the outside while the core beneath is very stiff. This combination will lead, IMHO, to a roller that lasts a long time without worry of deformation as it's used.

Overall, this roller is quite stiff but that is what you need to loosen the very tight (and hard to stretch) muscles in the front and side of your thighs. I'm very pleased with this product. It does what I need to and I feel it will last a long time.

Great Product, Saved The Day!

I had been suffering from an IT band injury (a common running injury) for months and tried all of the common remedies (rest, icing, extensive stretching, etc.) and wasn't making much progress in terms of the pain I experienced when I ran. Once I incorporated this roller (as recommended by doctor friends and runners) in to my stretching and icing routine, I immediately began to see progress with the healing of my injury. The foam is supportive but firm enough to really "dig" deep in to those muscles. Highly recommend from a person with a nagging IT band injury.

Rating :

Great roller

Foam is dense and looks like it will be very durable. Size is compact enough to make roller portable and to use without awkwardness in movement.

Love it

We have a couple of similar rollers in the gym at work and I love them so much I got one for home. I use the roller mostly on my legs for soreness from running and biking, IT bands, and sometimes on the back and shoulders depending on what feels tight or sore. It is firm enough but not excessively painful, unless the muscles are sore to start with, but I feel much better after. -1 star for the roller not being perfectly round.

Editorial Review :

The Nimbus Endurabead foam roller from Exervo is designed to withstand compression of the foam whether the user is light or heavy. Under high use some foam rollers go out of round since the foam cells break down from the continual compression of the foam. The Exervo Nimbus Endurabead foam roller is made by injecting high density polyethylene beads into the mold and compressing them under high heat and pressure. The beaded structure of our Nimbus rollers offers outstanding durability and EnduraBead rollers keep their perfectly round shape. Foam rollers are an essential tool for pilates, core and strengthening but the number one use is for self massage. They are an excellent tool for self massage of the upper and lower back, calf, hamstring, glutes and quads. The Nimbus rollers are especially useful for IT (illiotibial) band syndrome. Nimbus Endurabead foam rollers are a popular choice of trainers & athletes and users who really work a foam roller hard and need maximum, deep massage pressure. The Nimbus Endurabead foam roller is available in a 36" x 6" Full Round and 36" Half Round (36" roller cut along it's length) and an 18" x 6" Full Round and 18' Half Round (18" roller cut along it's length). NOTE: The 36" full & half round Nimbus rollers feature molded radius edges on each end of the roller. The 18" Full and Half Round are 36" long rollers cut at the across the length's midpoint. There is a molded radius edge on one end and a straight cut edge on the other end. We use a hot wire cutter to make the cuts. This process melts and seals the cut end of the roller. Your order includes access to our online compilation of foam roller exercise articles and videos. Nefitco Fitness warranty only applies to genuine Exervo Nimbus Endurabead rollers.

Nimbus Endurabead Foam Roller

I don't like writing reviews and usually decline the opportunity. However, I also rarely find a product that is stellar. This one is, even in all of its simplicity. Recently, I had a rotator cuff problem but complained of unrelated back pain to the physical therapist. I am 6'4" and about 250 lbs. The physician I had been seing suggested that I was getting some arthritis. The PT introduced me to this product at the clinic. He suggested that I buy one after I had used the one at the clinic. The purpose is to stretch your back over it (at least for my needs). It produces remarkable results and it was very inexpensive. I have a $200 massager that doesn't come close to the relief this gives. The stretching didn't work the first time but after several continued attempts, now it works every time for me and nearly immediately. It may or may not work for everyone. It does work wonders for me. It is particularly good after riding in a car for a number of hours. Once again, don't like to write reviews but I think these comments may be useful to someone else. I have absolutely no allegiance to the company that sold it or makes it. Just like this product.

Nimbus Endurabead Foam Roller, 4 Sizes

Roller perfect firmness for releasing tight or sore muscles. I use after workout in addition to stretching. or anytime I feel stiff. Theraputic for arthritic joints - in my case, seems to increase movement, decrease pain. "Rolling" recommended by both physical therapist and personal trainer for relief of muscle pain from sciatica; releases tight muscles in back, buttcks and legs. It's like a body massage you can do yourself. It's a great products -I recommend it and give it 5 stars.

Just what I needed

I've used these at the gym before, and this is exactly what I was looking for. Good quality, firm (maybe a little too firm) and durable. I might consider the slightly softer version if I were to do this again. Still, very happy customer..

Great for positioning and support, foam Rollers have become one of the most widely used therapeutic and conditioning products available. They easily adapt to a variety of techniques for exercise and therapy programs. Lightweight yet durable.

Customer Review :

DON'T BUY HALF-ROLLER!

Do not buy the half-roller. The full-round rollers are sealed all the way around. The half rollers are full rollers mechanically cut in half. This means that one side is RAW, and thus a snow of plastic dust flies out when you open it, and whenever you touch it. Plastic dust that you can't avoid breathing in.

It's horrible. I am extremely disappointed in this product.

Foam Roller

The foam roller is fine, just like at the gym. It was priced right and works just fine. The only issue is with me making the time to use it but you cannot blame the roller for that... I would recommend it

Questions & Answers
Question : Wobble board vs Bosu Balance Trainer?
Hi! Which is better the Bosu Balance Trainer (the half ball) vs a Wobble board - (you might find at a high name sporting good store) ? Thanks !

Answer:
my gym offers bosu classes, awesome for your "balance muscles" I have only ever stood on a wobble board once(that was enough) The bosu offers more support, less chance of injuring your delicate ankles! As a bonus, if you like the idea of the wobble board, you can turn the ball part of the bosu over(after all bosu stands for "both sides up")Hope this helps, good luck!

Question : What would be the best New balance or Asics shoe for workouts?
I started working out mainly treadmill, bike, and elliptical machines. I bought a pair of Nike, but they hurt the back of my heel. I am returning them today. I need to know if I should get a running or cross trainer. I also have back problems so I need good support. I heard New Balance are good, but I am not sure what series to get.

Answer:
definitely get the new balance for comfort and support. my mom had foot problems and her doctor recommended new balance. if youre doing more running, wear asics. I have a pair and i love them, they're amazing.

Question : New Balance Cross-trainers causing blisters...HELP!?
I bought them brand new 2 weeks ago after trying them on in the store. Then after the first time I use them for running, they rubbed blisters on my heel! I had not noticed before that my heel was ever-so-slightly slipping inside my shoe. The next size down was too small for my foot and the width is a "B". Is this normal for breaking in new shoes? Can I take them back to the store for an exchange? Is there another remedy I can use?

Answer:
well, when you run, you're not exactly supposed to use your heelstry to use the balls of your feet more often but try and be light

Question : Does anyone have a BOSU balance trainer at home? Does it make for a good ab workout?
Looking for recommendations and feedback.Thanks!

Answer:
no don't need one

Question : Are cross trainers OK for running 3 times a week?
I can't afford two pairs of trainers, so I want to buy a general purpose cross trainer instead of a running shoe. I think I have a moderate gait. I am looking at New Balance MX622AB. I run 2 or 3 miles 3 times a week at the moment. I do some strength training also.

Answer:
If you're doing other sports as well as running and don't have the budget for more than one pair of shoes, you're probably okay. Just be sure that what you get does have enough support for your foot. You can always try on a running shoe at a running store, then do a search online for the previous year's model or on ebay to get them at a less expensive price.Have fun!

Question : Shall i buy my 4 yo a balance/trainer bike, or a small bike with stabilisers?
is it more important for him to learn to balance or use pedals? for his 4th bday...

Answer:
is it more important for him to learn to balance or use pedals? for his 4th bday...

Question : What are the advantages of wearing shoes specifically made for tennis compared to cross trainers, for example?
I've read reviews of people saying how the sole of their tennis shoes wore out in a few months. That's because the sole of tennis shoes are thin. Cross trainers have much thicker tread. And I play tennis in them. How would it improve my playing, if I wore tennis specific shoes? Somebody once claimed that the heel of tennis shoes is lower, thus making for better balance while hitting the ball. Somebody else claimed they have better lateral support.Well? :)

Answer:
Have you ever seen the soles of tennis with curvy patterns. that is built for a better grip in lawn and clay. and yes you can use other suitable shoes on hard court although they lack some specific features that shoes built especially for tennis have like one may experience some problems with side ways running and recovering. Tennis shoes are specially built for instant grip which may not be available in others. And you may even experience some knee pains if you don't use right kinda shoes for tennis. Tennis shoes are a little different than other shoes, because of the tremendous need for lateral support. Unlike a running shoe, where the concern is mostly for forward motion, tennis shoes must endure the constant action of sideways starts and stops. Also, tennis shoes will usually have reinforced toe and heel pads because of the fact that tennis players will often drag the toe or heel of the shoe across the court creating a lot of wear and tear in those areas. For more info:http://guitarheroblog.it/jerroldsherman/2008/07/22/what-benefits-are-to-come-from-tennis-shoes/ http://ezinearticles.com/?Tennis-Shoes---What-Makes-Them-Different?&id=1238590

Question : Which New Balance shoes are good for a female runner with low back pain, cross trainers or running shoes?
I do aerobics, weight train, and run on a treadmill, and my lower back hurts all the time. Running shoes seem to make it worse. Anyone have experience with New Balance Cross Trainers?

Answer:
Since different styles of running demand different styles of shoes...The best thing you can do is go down a Running Lab. In fact there's a place by that name; "Running Lab."They will have you take off your shoes, watch you walk, and even take an imprint of your foot. After doing so, they will spend a few minutes analyzing everything. They will ask you a few questions about your running style and your level of running.Once they have finished they will direct you to a wall of shoes, that has ALL different brands of shoes on it and say something like; "These are what we recommend for you based on your foot's shape, the way you run, where your foot actually impacts the ground and the width of slimness of your feet. After they show you the selection, try a few pairs on, take them for a "test run" around the block and once you've found a pair that you like, then get them. They are GREAT! My spouse has ran a marathon and we are training once again for another one coming up in May. We always go to the running lab. Oh...and the shoes, are sold at a great price too.I've personally used the Running Lab, along with my spouse and many others, they are FANTASTIC! And they have all kinds of different Brands of shoes. From Nike to New Balance. =)Hope this helps...oh, the shoes that I picked out ended up being about $80 or so.Good luck. =)

Question : Who buys new balance trainers?
Hi I am currently doing a very important sports report to find out who buys new balance and if you think there is a youth market for the brand?

Answer:
i don't think horses wear them.
