Bought for Baby's Room

I bought this to keep track of conditions in the baby's room. After buying a color changing egg, I got tired of getting up and peeking into the room to see what the temp was. Then I bought a wireless color changing egg which interfered with the monitor. I finally bought this one and am pleased. I should've bought this first. There is no interference and the remote unit is small, plain and unobtrusive which means that the baby doesn't try to play with it all the time if it winds up in reach. Set up was super easy. The fact that you can add two more remote units is nice. The only thing that it is lacking is a backlight on the main unit. Honeywell, if you read this, add a backlight and sell it at baby stores and you'll sell many more.

Hunid in the Low Country

As I live is a very humid part of the country, the TM005X is very useful product as I need to control the humidity in my home and garage. While I find the product useful, I have not found Honeywell TM005X to measure humidity very accurate. Watching the reading of the two remote sensors, the Honeywell TS33C, and the main unit in the same spot, none read the same and none agree with two other Acurite hydrometers that do read consistently the same. The Honeywell readings very over a range of 5 percent. I called and asked the manufacturer whether I had defective units and they said no, their TM005X and TS33C products readings will vary. I think they should be more accurate. The temperature readings all agree.

Just what the doctor ordered.

I bought this product for my customer. We have just started retrofit foaming houses. The critical issue is making sure that the humidity in the attic is being controlled properly after the foam has been installed. All of the bathroom exhaust fans must be filtered out of the attic to a soffit vent as well as the kitchen exhaust. In order for the customer to monitor their own attic we have started purchasing this product as part of the health and safety protocol.

Happy to report that this product works excellent. I love the big display that is easy to see across the room.

quality piece

I've had half a dozen various brands of indoor/outdoor wireless temperature sensors... and they were all junk. This is the first that seems to be of decent quality and well worth the cost. I bought an additional remote sensor so I can monitor temp & humidity of 4 locations: wherever the monitor is, basement, nursery, & and outside.
Likes: quite accurate (within a few degrees), humidity reading, min/max data, big display, simply easy controls, ability to monitor 3 additional locations wirelessly.
Wish list: ability to calibrate all sensors, light option on monitor, ability to add additional sensors (max is 3).

So far, so good!

This review is for Honeywell wireless I/O thermometer/hygrometer TM005X. We've had our unit up and running for about a month now. Other than a loss of signal during the initial setup, it has been working flawlessly since. Our receiver and transmitter are seperated by one wall, and are approximately 40 feet apart.

I bought this unit because it is one of the few wireless models that have a low-ish temperature range (-38F). We live in Northern Minnesota so it is not uncommon to have a few days each winter that are colder than that (-50F<>).

Likes:
Large, attractive and easy to ready display.
The option to monitor multiple transmitters.

Dislikes:
Transmitter range only goes down to -38F.
Receiver does not display indoor and outdoor temperatures at the same time. You have to either toggle through the channels manually, or set the unit to auto-cycle from one channel to the next. It would be nice to have the option to display the indoor and one remote channel temperatures one the same screen, with the humidity readings made either smaller or on different screens.

lunch bag

I like the strap you can fling it over your shoulder and free up hands for something else. It works great.

Rating :

Great price but cheap quality

For the price, this lunch bag is a bargain. The exterior is durable but the inside lining is very thin and cheap. It can rip or tear easily. I actually caused a small tear upon opening the item and cleaning the inside with a sponge. It may have been there before I opened the item but nonetheless, the interior is not durable and will most likely not last a long time. I can foresee the inside lining being damaged more when items with somewhat sharp, pointy corners are placed inside. I wouldn't even think about putting a fork inside. Despite this, I am satisfied with this purchase.

Simple box, long strap

Simple navy squareish squishy insulated box with a long adjustable strappy. It is perfect for what it is. My little brother broke the strap (on purpose). I will get another. Good for boys, men, boring people and me. The cost ($7)/benefit is square, like the box.

Great item!

A great item! Does exactly what it says it will do. Can't beat the price. Other things in stores were much more expensive. Good construction and very sturdy. Keeps beverages nice and cold! Very happy with purchase!

This Picnic Time Oniva, a recreational reclining seat, is lightweight and portable, with an adjustable shoulder strap and six adjustable positions for reclining. The seat cover is made of polyester, while the frame is steel, and the seat is cushioned with high-density PU foam that provides hours of comfortable sitting. The bottom of the seat is black to avoid soiling and staining. The Picnic Time Oniva Seat is great for the beach, the park, gaming and boating.

Customer Review :

Great!

Easy to carry, easy to use. Nice cushioning under the tushy. We like to sit on the dock at our summer place in the mornings. I have a bad back and needed the back support. Plus, I was uncomfortable sitting on the hard wood with no cushioning. Voila! This little seat does the trick. Easy on my bottom and my back and light enough to carry with the strap over my shoulder. Really cool product.

Picnic chair

The chair is ok but it's pretty big. It's light weight but I was definitely hoping that it would fold down into something smaller. There's also metal supports that run through it that I can feel when sitting in it. Overall, i was disappointed.

Rating :

Big, comfortable, and lightweight

This chair is almost everything I hoped it would be. I was looking for a seat to make attending my childrens' sporting events more enjoyable. I'm on bleachers 4 times a week. I have tried other chairs, and after awhile they are just about as uncomfortable as the bleachers. The adjustable back position on this chair is what sets it apart from others. The only drawback (which is at the same time an asset) is that the base of this seat is wide. I am a small person, but this chair would be comfortable for people of any size, as there are no arms on the chair so your "rear end" space isn't limited by the width of the chair. It takes up a little more space on the bleachers, and is slightly awkward to carry, but it is extremely lightweight and you hardly notice the weight of it on your shoulder. If it's windy, it might be somewhat like carrying a sail, but I haven't experienced it in the wind yet.

Questions & Answers
Question : What Is The Most Amps You Can Pull In a 15 Amp Room?
I have a small Office at home that Is 15amps and I was thinking of buying a space heater for those cold nights and mornings that is 1500 watts, 13amps. Would I be ok using this while running my computer and a light? Thanks!I do have the laundry room right next door that Is 20Amps would running an extension cord for the space heater from that room be ok?

Answer:
Rule of thumb is 80% of the circuit breaker rating. You can run 12 amps forever without tripping the breaker. The closer you get to 15 the faster you'll trip. Your exact voltage level measures in too. If you're normal power is higher than 115v your actual amperage use will be less.

Question : Will the PA speakers I plan on buying work with my mixing board?
Well, I hold small punk rock shows in my garage, living room and backyard occassionaly, and i provide the mics, mixer, and PA for the band. I use a Tapco Mix 120 http://www.tapcoworld.com/products/mixseries/index.htmland I use a pair of 20 watt yamaha home stereo speakers for my pa system, and they are home stereo speakers, so they cannot handle much, and dont get loud enough, and so I am looking into buying a pair of radioshack 150 watt 15'' Pa speakershttp://www.radioshack.com/pwr/product-reviews/Home-Office/PA-systems-power-horns/RadioShack/ p/2103338-150-Watt-2-Way-PA-Monitor-Speaker.htmland some of the reviews said you wil need a mixer with 150 watts :just to get the bass going" and i dont know how many watts my mixer has, and im worried it wont work with them, So if anybody knows, that would be awesome. and if it wont work, please tell me what speakers would? keep in mind im on a tight budget. thanks alot!Oh and here's what im using them with, i have two microphones that i provide for the bands, i have a rule that I wont mic anything amp over 30 watts, because the pa cant handle it, it can only handle vocals and medium volume guitar amps with mild distortion.

Answer:
What your more worried about than you mixer is your amp. If your mixer has a built in amp then that is what you'll look at but if it doesn't then you will have to purchase a separate amp for your system. Mixer goes to amp which goes to speakers. So what your really asking is what kind of amp you also need to purchase. And for that you will need a minimum of a 150 watt amp at RMS. This is because you never want to run an amp or mixer in it's upper 15% of the volume as this will distort the sound. Hope this helps

Question : How many circuits should I plan in my new home?
We are building a new home which will have the following rooms1 Bedroom KitchenDining Rm/areaLiving RoomMaster bathMain/guest bathOffice/denThere will be an unfinished attic that could be used for future expansionThe master bath will have a whirlpool tub and a far infrared sauna. Heat lamp in ceiling for both baths. The area for the sauna could be used for a stack-able washer/dryer in the future instead of the sauna. All outlets will be wired for 20 amp circuits [#12 wire].It is planned to add a mini split ductless air conditioning at least in the living room/kitchen dining area which is all one open area about 17ft. by 36ft.How many circuits will we need?

Answer:
A good rule to follow ; 1 outlet= 1 amp. You should not exceed 80% of breaker rating. i.e. 20 amp breaker = 16 outlets. Each light, or fan = 1 amp . So a ceiling fan with light = 2 amps. 40A 240V for range , 30A 240V for dryer(some stack-able units only need 30A 240V, check manufacturer)othrewise you will need 20A 120V for washer, Two seperate circuts in kitchen 20A 120V, check local codes, but bath plugs may need own 20A 120V circut(this can be the same circut). Check amp rating for heat lamps, and A\C unit. 2009 national elec. code requires Arc-fault breakers on bed rm. Don't forget smoke detctors, dishwasher?, disposal?, microwave? refrigerator could go on one of kitchen branch circuts. Check with manufactuer for amps on the sauna.Hope this helps, if in doubt call local electrician, or elec inspector they should be able to help.

Question : asking for project of an electromagnet?
greetings,i was making an electromagnet with very simple components which are soft iron core, suitable insulated wires, and a radio shack lead acid battery for high amp(A).....(12volt 7amp)(http://www.radioshack.com/pwr/product-reviews/Power-Batteries/Home-office-power/Home-security- power/RadioShack/p/2049668-12-Volt-7Ah-Lead-Acid-Alarm-Battery.html)so are there any electric hazards in just wrapping up the iron core with the wires and placing the wires in the 2 terminals in that kind of battery without any other electric components?and thank you

Answer:
No, there's no electrical hazard in just winding the wires around a soft iron core and connecting to the terminals. If you have alligator tooth connectors or jumper cable style connectors, or perhaps slip-under-screw connectors, those would be vastly preferable to simple wrapping and taping, since the impedance on those kind of connectors is much lower than a simple wrapping.Note that when you hook up the battery to the winding/core, you may cause an arc and the voltage will spike momentarily because the electromagnet components are in reality an inductor. If you understand basic calculus, then the voltage across the inductor is V = L (dI/dt), where L is the inductance (a little more complicated to explain, but soft iron core + lots of winding + thin core + long = high inductance), I is current, V is voltage, and dI/dt is the rate of change of the current -- when you hook up the inductor to the battery, current will go up rapidly, so voltage across it will spike and you may get an arc across the connection (only lasts about a millisecond, but the voltage is high). So just be careful when you hook it up. Or better yet, use a switching device of some kind.
