Decent...But Not Great

I work in the lawn care industry and have owned several of the worktunes units. I have owned two of these particular units and, although I am not impressed with them, I think they are decent for the money. The first one of these I got last year, and it developed a short in the wiring after using it about 4 months. I have had the one I am currently using for about 6 months, and so far, so good. I realize I am fairly rough on them in my line of work. Overall quality is decent.
FM reception is good for the most part. I also like the mp3 jack. I enjoy listening to my mp3 player sometimes while mowing. The main problem is that the AM is almost useless. I do enjoy talk radio, and much of the time you can't get AM reception decent enough to hear anything. Maybe if I am out mowing in a large field and the wind is blowing just right I can listen in.
So, if you want to use it for FM and mp3 music, it's not a bad deal if you can get it under $50. If you want to listen to AM radio, save your money!

Better than ever now with MP3 input.

I really like these, I have 3 pair. 2 are the older analog tuning style which are at best OK, and 1 that has the digital tuning. Now with the MP3 input too I am sure they rock.

I BOUGHT THESE TO LISTEN TO MOSTLY TALK AM RADIO WHILE MOWING AND WORKING IN A CABINET SHOP. SINCE THESE ARE FOR HEARING PROTECTION, THE VOLUME CONTROL IS LIMITED. SOME AM STATIONS THAT ARE NOT PICKED UP AS GOOD AS THEY SHOULD CANNOT BE HEARD VERY WELL BECAUSE YOU CANNOT TURN UP THE VOLUME QUITE ENOUGH. I FIND MYSELF TURNING MY HEAD AT TIMES JUST TO TRY AND HEAR THE TALK SHOWS. FM IS SOME BETTER, BUT IT TO WILL BREAK UP WHEN YOUR FACING IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION.I WILL NEVER BUY A SET OF THESE AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE WEAK VOLUME. Great! Don't hear someone yell out "Heads up!"

There is a basic problem with this product. If you on a site where your ears need serious protection, you are probably on a site where safety is a big issue. Audible distractions are bad enough for a driver (as NHTSA and others are now saying). On a construction site or around a jet engine, the distraction of music or talk radio could get you killed. My guess is most safety-conscious sites would ban something like this (except in New York City, where Mayor Bloomberg enjoys seeing construction workers killed).

Better than I thought

These ear protectors are performing much better than expected compared to many of the reviews I have read. The sound dampening is very good and the unit is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I expected the radio to be a poor performer based on other reviews, but found it to be decent for a shop environment. A stand alone radio that I have been using has much poorer reception than this unit. The nice thing is that you can actually hear the radio easily when operating large equipment (the shop radio was drowned out). What really surprised me was the speed which Amazon delivered the product. It arrived the day after shipping confirmation; that's great.

Great Earmuffs! Well worth the price.

When I turn them off, they work just like regular cheap earmuffs. With the volume on "high" they're almost like hearing aids, until it gets loud. I used them on a very cold night at the firing range with a generator and two forced fuel heaters going. I had to play with the volume in order to hear voices over the machinery, but they worked. They'd cut out when people started to shoot or if anyone yelled. When they mute, it takes about 2 seconds to amplify normal sounds again. They also have a cool earphone jack so you could plug in your MP3 player or 2-way radio.

Good Product

I ordered these based upon a recommendation from a friend. Was also influenced by other reviews on Amazon. It's an excellent hearing protection device and it doesn't cut-out all sounds like my other earmuffs do when a hi decibel sound happens. Also, the flat design works well with shotguns and rifles, not getting in the way like fatter ones do. And, they are so comfortable that on my first use at the range I walked out to my car to leave and drove about a mile before I realized I still had them on! Highly recommended.

Compact and does the job

It works as advertised. Its comfortable and it does cutout noise once sounds reaches the cutoff dba. It even has a port to plug in your ipod. The music/audio port works but it's not like a true head set. The gain has to be turned all the way up on the ipod and same for the earmuff to hear the music. I don't have any other electronic earmuffs to compare this one against but it probably is a good set to start with and is not bad for the price. With that said, I probably won't upgrade from this one for awhile.

Great Earmuffs!

Love these earmuffs! They are very comfortable and the electronics work wonders. I can actually hear the brass hitting the concrete and yet not have my ears blown out by gunfire. It does seem that you have to turn the volume control up fairly high to be able to hear outside sounds. When there are multiple gunshots (as in 8-10 shooters all shooting at the same time)going off around you sometimes the electronics kick in so much that it's hard to carry a conversation. But that only happened a few times, and I don't think any other electronic earmuffs would have been able to do any better under those circumstances. I wore them all day as a scorer for a trap league shoot and they worked perfectly; was even able to hear the trap machine cycle. They were kept on the entire day and numerous ours since then and are still on the original batteries, so the run time is excellent. For the price, I don't think you can get any better electronic earmuffs.

You should get one for yourself

I was very skeptical because of the price being so low compared to Cabella's. I had a gift card to Amazon and thought I would use it. I bought this boresighteer mostly because of the Bushnell name. When it arrived I used it according to the directions (very simple) and a tree in the back yard, I had to wait until evening tho because I couldn't see the red dot that far away. I sighted in my 3 x 9 and then on Saturday I went out to sight it in at the pit and I was amazed that I was right on at 100 yards with out having to make a single adjustment. I know it was just coincidence so I also checked my 300 and I only had to do elevation not side to side and I only had 3 clicks up to do. I am pleased to no end with it. Mike Howell

The on-off switch is erratic. Very frustrating, If you are able to get the laser to come on it goes off. Mine is in the trash can.I bought another brand, made in the USA. Do not waste your money on this piece of junk.

LASER BORE SITE

THE POUCH THAT IT COMES IN IS SMALL AND THERE IS NO PLACE TO STORE THE INSTRUCTIONS. THE ON OFF SWITCH DOESN'T WORK WELL I HAD TO INSERT
A PAPER INTO THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT TO KEEP IT FROM BEING ON. THE SLIGHTEST BUMP WOULD TURN IT ON. I WOULD NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN
OR SUGGEST IT TO ANYONE. I WOULD GO WITH THE BULLET LASER SYSTEM INSTEAD.

Not that bright, but does the job, sort of

This product is capable of doing what you want it to do, just not easily in daylight. The laser is a baby and could be much brighter. As far as I can tell, the centroid is on axis so 10 points to Bushnell on that one. The comments regarding method of use, I would agree with, but many tools we use with weapons require technique, so I wouldn't criticise this item for that one bit. One final point. In the US be happy, I had to pay £50 in the UK to get this item. You are so fortunate in the US.

What do you want for $25?

Really great. I was able to sight my .22, .50, and 12 gauge. The mechanism works well, the bore gizmos take a little getting used to, but once you get the notion, it's all good. Really made the process a breeze. Can't wait to see where my shots end up now. If the idea is for the boresighter to get you on paper, I can't see where you could go wrong with this deal.

I want to start off by saying, I researched the h*** out of headlamps before deciding upon the tikka plus 2. This is the first headlamp I had bought in over 8 years, I am very impressed with the advancements in technology and how well they were applied in making the tikka plus 2. It weighs almost nothing and has a great click system for angling the lamp in a certain direction. The red light is awesome for not disturbing others at night. For $30, you can't find a better headlamp.

Excellent Headlamp! Bright, long life, very useful!

This is the first headlamp I have owned. I've used several similar models that belonged to family members, and was fortunate enough to receive this as a gift. Since I got it I use it almost daily! I take it in my pocket whenever I go to do a job that might require light, day or night. It's as bright as you would ever need for normal activities and makes working on things outside at night (like a vehicle) a lot easier. I have used this so much I thought for sure the batteries would have died after the first day or two, but it just keeps going! Also, the emergency strobe and red light are nice features should you need to be seen from afar, or create your own dance party. I'm very happy with this item, and should I do something unfortunate like sit on it, or run it over with my truck, I will surely buy another one! I don't think you will be dissapointed!

Haven't used it extensively but it seems to do what it should. I bought it to help me with the occasionally computer upgrades but it came very handy while putting a cabinet together.

Don't need to go into too much detail. Simply one of the brightest, lightest, and versatile headlamps for the money. The red light is great for night time as it won't disturb your tent mates.

You get what you pay for

I bought this knife based on its good reviews.
You do, however, get what you pay for.

The knife itself looks and feels great,
but the blade is not sharp out of the box,
and mine actually arrived chipped.
Sloppy quality management.

And in this price range, it simply isn't worth the hassle to return it.
Might be a good beater knife, though.

Nice Knife

I was very happy with the service. The knife wasn't supposed to arrive for 10-14 days, but I got it in 5 or so days. Needless to say, I was pleased with the turn out.

Meh...

This knife is great at first, but after a while (a while meaning like 4 days depending on how much you use it, that is from my experience) the lock will begin to slip too far. To get that fixed you need to pry it open with another thin yet sturdy object. After a while it will become so that the lock will always slip but it's easy to return as if it never slipped at all. After two weeks the screw on the knife was becoming loose, and was causing movement of the blade on the axle of the knife. As long as you have access to a torx screw driver. Now one problem I cannot live with and cannot fix that started just recently after a year of heavy use is the fact that the thumb stud now rotates on it's axle where it should be firmly stuck in place. Not a top quality product, but for the money it's decent...

poor construction

I had no problem with the blade itself, but the screws that held the body together loosened within one month of carry. tightening these screws isnt difficult, but it is bothersome. good knife for the price.
