Smith and Wesson Blade

I have owned several blades of this type. This knife is by far the best I have ever owned. The price was great, but the quality is even better. It is simple to open and close, and the clip hold very securely to everything. The grip is very comfortable and feels natural in my hands even when I have been sweating. I havent tried woodcarving yet with this knife, but I have used it for a variety of endeavors, it has not disappointed.

Great Knife, almost perfect for the price

This is one great little pocket knife! Right when I pulled it out of the box I knew I had a made a great purchase. For $11 you cant beat it!
The black was sharp, the knife is SUPER light, and has a great feel to it.

The only two things I dislike about it is the certain screw you need to loosen/tighten it. Its hard to find and I have had a bad experience with those type of screws stripping in the past. Also, the clip is not flus with the top of the knife so if clipped to a belt, a little bit will stick above and it has a tenancy to poke you in the side.

Other than that I love this little guy and will most likely buy another in the future!

A lot of bang for the buck...

I mean, really, how can you beat it? A good quality, smooth opening pocket knife for like $10. This is my second one (lost the first one somewhere on a hike - it is smallish). No problems, lots of value.

High quality knife for a very low price!!!

This is a fantastic and high quality knife with a very low price tag. I bought to use it as a spare in my SUV so it is wonderful and I love that it is Smith and Wesson. This is perfect for an entry pocket knife or for spare use. Nonetheless, I wouldn't use this as my main pocket knife.

Excellent Electronic Earmuffs

I have another pair, made by a different company, which I bought at the local sporting goods store. The electronics in these Howard Leight earmuffs work MUCH better. The cord to attach these to your mp3 or cell phone is included as are batteries. I have tried it, but honestly when you are out shooting I think your attention should be focused on safety and your weapon, rather than the music. Just saying.

I recommend these earmuffs highly.

Howard Leight -- poor quality headset

I purchased these in part because of many positive reviews. I am very familiar with noise canceling headsets as I am a pilot, and have three Bose headsets. The Howard Leight headset does little to protect my hearing at the shooting range, and I can't tell much difference between having them powered or just in passive mode. Yes, I can tell which is which (although an LED power light would be useful). I found the ambient sound painful, and had to go back to my $15 Remington earmuffs. I gave the Howard Leights two chances, just to make sure, but they don't work at all for me. A waste of $50. I wouldn't, in good faith, even sell them, as I think they are a danger to my or anyone's hearing.

Affordable ear candy...

In the interest of full disclosure, I must confess that I put a limit of $100 on my purchase. I go to the range fairly infrequently and have used my brother's Peltor Tactical 6S as well as some inexpensive brands of the non-electronic variety. After only a couple of hours with the Peltor, the pressure physically hurt my head and the mic intermittently cut out. He had another set, which was also defective. I researched the internet extensively, and found these.

The auxiliary input is very handy, but the sound is nowhere near audiophile grade. The included earbuds in an iPod sound better, but nonetheless it is a GREAT feature.

To test comfort, I actually slept with them on, and woke up with no aching the next morning. Even while wearing protective eyewear they remained extremely comfortable. The wide band distributes pressure evenly and the material seems to be durable as well as comfortable.

Performance-wise, they react quickly to loud noises. Even without the electronics enabled, they encompassed my ears with no sound leakage as I moved my head and the protection was adequate. The adjustable volume dial is ergonomic and easy to manipulate, even with gloves on. With the electronics engaged, I become blessed with superhuman hearing. I could While in the living room, I could hear the washing machine... 30' away, past the kitchen, in the garage. I could even hear the friction of my wife's bare feet on the hardwood flooring. Eeerie. They were also effective when I used a battery operated multi-tool (dremel/rotozip) in a cabinet (with my head IN the cabinet) and they worked very well. Being so slim, the muffs weren't cumbersome.

I'll be attending a 7-day gun-training course in a month with dozens of other people, each shooting a thousand rounds... so we'll see how well they perform. Right now, though... these things are indeed ear candy.

Not for indoor range

As others have said, you should use ear plugs in addition to this earmuff at an indoor range.

Rating :

excellent value

Howard leight has done it again! I have enjoyed using these earmuffs every time I put them on. They are compact light weight and low profile. They easily block out harmful loud noise and their ability to enhance certain ambient noises as well as just plain being able to hear with them on is perfect for all occasions. If anyone cares about how they look with earmuffs on then these are the ones you want. You will be able to avoid looking like you have grapefruit tied to your head and still be able to block out the noise. Every feature works, if you get a pair that don't then it is the exception, not the rule. I have the same batteries in my muffs that I put in the day I received them almost a year ago. I have left them in the rain (not recommended) and everything is still working! I have spent hours looking for the best earmuffs that I could buy. I truly believe that you will not be able to get better muffs for more money, or equal muffs for less.

Easy to use

I used this to bore sight all rifles shootguns and pistols that I have. It is easy to use, but as some others have stated the switch is a little loose. I have not been to the range as of yet to see how true the settings are. For the money and easy of use this is a Great buy.

Bushnell Boresighter

For the money the Bushnell Laser Boresighter is not bad. However in using it to sight in my pistol grip laser, I found that for a 38 revolver, it had to be inserted all the way into the drum and that required a spent shell. It was not as tight as I'd like it to have been. When the boresighter is fully inserted up to its taper and rotated around in the barrell, you could see the laser move off where the center of where it was seen before. I had to adjust my pistol grip laser to fall inside of the circle pattern that the boresighter laser made as I turned it.
You would spend more on the shell mounted type laser, but how often do you need to sight in that one caliber? So the cost of the Bushnell Laser Boresighter isn't bad for the money.

Does what it is supposed to

I did read the review and was very skeptical on the product and the way it's design, but it's a Bushnell, how bad it can be???. I thought, I would have to Zero-it in first, then use-it as a preliminary ruff reference then finish the job with a target at 10, 25 / 250 yards. I was concern about the flash suppressor and the normal variation of location or repetitively of this gadget.

I did give a try on my old FAL 308 who was rite 1" above the bull eye at 25 yard on it at 250y (group of 6" / 10 shots, hey I'm not that good). Well I assemble the thing with the crappie small plastic bore clamp with the Dum looking tinny screw, I plug the hole, tight-it, light-it up. I took the gun and what about that... in the house, 10yard away and it was in line vertically and near 1 1/8" above heuuu, I find a 25y target and it was there, 1"... Hummm no adjustment??? na, it can't be that good. I remove-it spin the screw and the plastic cam-lock, put-it back and again it's there, no more then 1/16 off what is the dote size. Well I was please and surprise.

I did throw-it in my AR10, lign up the iron sight, then my red/green dot with the back iron sight and the front one to. Well I put it at 1 1/4" above on the 10Y wall. I pack-up my stuff and went to the range. WOW at 25y my group was 1/2" high, and less than that on the right. Ok I will have to go to the 250y to final tune this Upper but this is Iron sight and red dot, 25y is the max I plane using this upper. For the long shot I use a scope and this thing is not design for it. It will probably keep you on a 24" target a 150y then you need a spotter to finish the job on a 250y target. But this thing really impress me, It will save me ammo and to prevent me look like an idiot missing the target at 50y.

The taper and the core of this tool can accommodate a 308 with flash suppressor without problem, on lease I'm lucky there, no pre-calibration to do, just put the rite taper cam, the screw and ligh-it up. The core has a diameter of .740" (18.9mm)(less then 3/4"), it's made of aluminum and anodize, I think. The on'off switch is a bit small and look cheesy but it work. The batteries are pre install. To me it's clearly a made-in China, then don't eat-it or give it to your children for lunch and totally avoid to give it to your Dog as a chewing toys LOL.

This is a good product for me. Use it in its defend capacity, it is more accurate then I expect, but the real way to finish the job is to go out-there, send-it out and correct it in the field, in real life and conditions. I do strongly recommend-it. And remember, you have to be smarter than your tools and understand the capacity and limitation.
Hey sorry if you have a hard time understanding what I'm saying, I'm not a composer, I'm just trying to help you with your concerns.

Rating :

money saver

This really helps me zero in my sights and optics and saved me lots of money on ammo. Ammo is really expensive and it will only go higher and higher. I recommend on stock piling your ammo while its still affordable and save it. Use this to sight in your targets. ( This thing is really hard to zero in with out a spotting scope for any target over 50 yards or more )

Valuable addition to my tool kit

I have used this to boresight over twenty rifles, and handguns. I carry it with me to the range,
it is amazing how many DYI scope installations result in missing the paper completly. This device saves a lot of time, and ammo. I charge 20 bucks to get them close enough to ffinish sigting in with only a few shots.

Now Let Us All Praise LULA !

Of course I echo all the other praises for this phenomenal invention, and I would add that anyone who owns and loads a magazine fed pistol, NEEDS one. This is not a frivolous gadget, a toy for the firearm dilettante, nor yet a fancy item reserved for the high volume range-rat who burns 200 rounds per week. No, this is a simple tool to make life easier for anyone using an autoloading pistol.

Most of us have at some point - while tediously trying to slide the last few rounds into a mag, or the last half-dozen into a high-cap double stack mag - pondered the blisters on our thumbs or the old bits of dried blood lodged in the sharp shoulder creases of the magazine and said, "Shuckin's and golly gee whiz, there sure ought ta be a better way than THIS."
Or perhaps a more expletive laced variant, but either way, THIS is the tool we needed.
Operating it is pretty much instinctive after the first round or two, and with practice it can be done very quickly. Now, I prefer a slow, Zen-contemplative pace to loading my own double stacks, at least at the range, but even ignoring the time element, it is just great to have a device which loads smoothly, painlessly, and with minimal effort.
And needless to say, if one were in an unfortunate situation requiring the repeated loading of magazines in order to forego one's demise at the hands of armed miscreants, the little LULA would be priceless. Butler Creek always sells good stuff, btw!

It would also make a GREAT gift, if you have a shooter in your sphere.

Believe the reviews

This has to be one of the most useful tools that I have. I own a H&K USP-C .40, H&K P30 .40, and a Taurus 24/7 9mm and this pistol loader works on all three different magazines without fail. The edges of the H&K magazines were really starting to chew up my fingers until this purchase and I haven't had a problem since. It's especially useful in artic environments when you do not want to take your gloves off. For those of you that work in cold enviroments from time to time or fire in cold enviroments do not go without this product.
