Customer Review :
well made, durable, fun
My 18 year old son wanted boxing gloves for Christmas. These gloves were a good price compared to the large sports stores. My son has very large hands and these gloves fit well, offer lots of cushion, and have been durable. he uses them to box with his roommates in college. thumbs up.

Great Pair
I was a bit skeptical about buying these at first but I'm glad I did. They will be a bit snug AT FIRST but they will break in well and you'll be able to wear wraps in them. They're very comfortable. I was going to get some protex 2 or 3's but these are better for the value and I'm very happy with them... no regrets.

I was pleased with the product. I got exactly what I ordered, nothing more, nothing less.

Very pleased. Would be even more pleased if the gloves came with a set of wraps.

Really like them, but sent the wrong size!!!!!
Ordered 12oz gloves but received 14oz gloves. I'm pretty small, so the size does make a difference. The packaging was labled correctly, but product wasn't what was indicated.
The gloves are really nice and I really like them, just wish they would have been the correct size.
No return/exchange information was available for me to get the correct size.

Customer Review :
Growing my hair again
I started using Mega-Tek Rebuilder about 21 days ago. My husband and I went out for brunch and when we returned he said, "That is your real hair isn't it?" because I wear wigs sometimes. He said "I wasn't sure because it looks thicker and longer too". I said good that's what I was hoping for. I have hypothyroidism so it is difficult to keep growing my hair because it usually breaks off and now it is thickening up and growing in such a short time. I am hoping it will continue.
By the way, I got my best price at AMAZON.COM. Order two at a time so you won't run out.

It works!
I was a little skeptical about this product but heard great reviews on different hair types. I use it as an overnight conditioner and my hair got noticeably thicker in about 2 weeks. I will definitely be buying this product again, maybe even 2 bottles next time.
Rating :
Amazing
This made my hair GROW three inches in about four months. It made my hair thicker, i love it. I only wish my boyfriend would stop using it on our dogs. Not a cheap shampoo but very well worth the money!
Rating :
i guess it works
My hair has grown a little over 1/2 inch since I began to use this last month. That's about the normal rate anyway. Maybe I need to give it more time.

does exactly what I want it to do, sets intervals for my tabatas. Easy to use, and small so you can carry it with you.

GREAT NEW MODEL
I really like the stronger vibrate mode on this black Gymboss for when I'm in the gym and don't want to use the beep alert. The softcoat gives the timer more grip as well which makes it feel much more durable.
Rating :
Gymboss helps intensify my workouts!
I had been doing tabata exercises before and thought I was doing great until I got my timer. The intervals keep me on schedule so much better than watching a clock. I can put my efforts into my routine and not in clock watching and I can tell I am doing so much more intense workouts now. The new black color is great- soft feel to the finish. I keep it clipped to my pocket edge and don't have to keep looking at it-it beeps to tell me when time is up. I would give the gymboss a 5 Star rating. Gymboss GB2010 BLACK SOFTCOAT

Customer Review :
8oz great for smaller hands
I purchased the 8oz model as a gift for a female; 5'3" with a small frame and small hands. When I say small hands, I mean she often buys kids sized gloves. I also purchased the 108" hand wraps. Both worked out to be a good fit for her. These are being used as bag gloves, not boxing/contact gloves. The fit and finish are similar to my own Fairtex and Windy bag gloves.
Rating :
AWESOME - SUPER COOL!
Glad I ordered the 14oz! I based my purchase on reviews and I agree. I too am a small 5'2" girl with small hands and thr 140z are perfect. I think smaller would fit but maybe a bit tight so I'm glad I paid the $5 extra for the bigger ones. The color is a very cool Pink and totally makes me wanna get working! I am still waiting for my punching bag to arrive but these seem very well padded. I hit a few things around the house (couldnt wait to try!) and I didnt feel an ounce of pain on my hands (I type all day so I was kinda worried about my wrists and hands) so far excellent! I recommend!

Great gloves at a great price..............
I purchased these as part of my Christmas gifts to go with my new Wavemaster and they are perfect. I got the size 14 based on reviews even though my hands are pretty small. I'm glad that I did because they fit perfect. My 10 y/o daughter also uses them and they fit her fine. So, I don't think the smaller sizes would be very comfortable for an adult. The pink is so HOT and I feel fierce using them. I would recommend these................

Great gloves - my wife loves them
What else can I say. They fit great and she thinks they are very comfortable.
Rating :
Definitely order the 14 ounce size
I originally ordered these boxing gloves in the 12-ounce size, thinking that they would be fine for me since I'm a smaller-boned person (I'm 5'4") and wear a size 0 or 2. However, the 12-ounce size gloves were much too small and tight, and made my fingers cramp up, so I returned them to the store where I bought them and ordered the 14-ounce ones here on Amazon.
I use these for recreational boxing on my Wavemaster punching bag, so can't speak to how well they hold up for real boxing classes, but for recreational workout videos, they work great. (I've been using boxing workout DVD's from Cathe Freidrich, Amy Bento, and Michael Olajide.)
The gloves have nice cushioning to them, although I also have been using the Everlast gel wraps underneath to provide additional padding for my knuckles.
I know it's silly, but I also just love the pink color! They are really cute in person. Overall, a great purchase!

Customer Review :
Easy set up, no issues after two months of daily use.
After reading the reviews here I was a little skeptical, but being "handy", I thought I could make this unit work. I was right.
Aside from the items in the packaging I used these additional items: A roll of electrical tape, a carabiner, a utility knife, stud finder, socket set, drill.
My bag is a 100 lb Everlast.
I did it like this:
1. Use stud finder to locate a beam. Note: Stud finder kept going off when it touched my skin, but you may not have this problem.
2. Cut away small rectangle of drywall on ceiling the size of the device.
3. Use device to mark hole locations on beam, and pre-drill pilot holes into them to keep beam from splitting.
4. Per instructions, assemble two pieces of unit with center pin, leaving some play in the screw/bolt for movement.
5. Wrap horizontal screw in black electrical tape to keep bag chain from wearing out the screw. Put screw through assembly. Secure bolt.
6. Loop the carabiner through the top of the chain/strap that supports the bag. This allows for easy setup/tear down if needed.
7. Use a chair under your leg to balance the heavy bag on top of, clamp carabiner to horizontal screw.
DONE!

Works, but not great.
It will hold a bag up, but you could probably buy a couple bolts at any hardware store and create a mount just as good. Since this setup was cheap, I'm not complaining, but if it doesn't spin, I don't see the point of buying this.
I recommend spending $5 more and getting the Everlast Professional Swivel, which is more specifically designed for a punching bag.

this product is great it is my basement as your reading this and is holding my 80 lb bag with ease. i would definitely recommend it.
Rating :
About the spinning ...
Yes, when you hit the bag it does spin (every heavy bag is going to spin unless you use a 4 point hanging system) and it will spin and eventually untighten the bolt at the top no matter how much you tighten it even with the locking washer in place. Period.
Solution: Buy a locking nut (it has nylon at the top that locks it in place) and use two nuts (the supplied one and the locking one) plus the locking washer.
Details: The supplied nut goes on first but don't thread it all the way down to the bracket. Leave some space for the thing to spin freely. Next, put on the locking washer supplied. Next, put on the locking nut and tighten all 3 together leaving space for the assembly to spin.
This will never come loose on it's own if the nuts are tightened properly since the space left means that there is no friction with the bracket.
Thanks to those mentioning the issue with the threads on the cross bolt tearing through the hook. I'm going to find another bolt that works or add a sleeve to the supplied bolt.
This hanger is fine (sturdy) but only giving it 3 stars since the hardware they supplied is not that well thought out. They should have supplied a metal sleeve for the cross bolt and the additional locking nut.

Well Constructed Heavy Bag Mount
Fast shipping and good quality at the best prices. I've bought from Amazon many times and I am almost always completely satisfied with the product. They describe exactly what you'll be getting. This is a good mount for a heavy/ punching bag. It works well and easy installation (2 screws). Comes with everything you need. However you might want to put a locking nut on the bolt that holds the two halves together instead of the one they give you. I tightened it up, but I punched it loose and I just tightend it back up. This only happened once, I maybe just didnt tighten it up that great the first time. Still might be a good idea if you have this as a problem though. I used it on my 80 lb bag and it worked well for that. The screws they give you hold pretty good. It's a good mount.

Questions & Answers
Question : How many of you follow sports other than Cricket?
Which are other sports do you follow, other than Cricket?.Which one do you like the most after Cricket and the reason. How do you spend your time when there are no Cricket Matches to witness?
Answer:
I do not follow any particular sport other than cricket but I see other sports when its major tournament in being played.Like when there are any of the grand slams in tennis, I watch them. When there is Hockey World Cup, I watch it etc.
|
Question : What sports can somebody with one leg shorter than the other play?
Would having a shortened leg be an advantage in tennis, for a stronger serve? Volley ball? Golf? Any other sports?
Answer:
I use to have that problem, I got surgery when I was younger to fix it though.Golf is one that is nonbiased because you learn how to compensate early on. Tennis you can, although it can be tougher.Swimming and wrestling def. are the same way as Golf is. Really, you can even do baseball easy if you're a pitcher. Don't let anything stop you, find ways to get around it but most of all just have fun doing it.

Question : What other sports have cheaters running amuck?
With all this nonsense going on with baseball, football, cycling etc....what other sports do you think have cheaters running amuck? Is this sort of thing going on with hockey, golf, tennis, etc...with steriods and spying?
Answer:
All of them. With the amounts of money that are on the line in professional sports there is, and always will be, someone willing to bend or break the rules to get a piece of it.
|
Question : What do you like about baseball compared to cricket and other sports?
What are some things you like about baseball that other sports dont have? and why?and why is baseball the only sport where steroids is used?
Answer:
Other sports are not the nation's pastime. That is the huge thing that attracts me to baseball. And baseball is not the only sport where steroids are used...not even close to the only sport. That's...comforting I guess? But not really.

Question : How come boxing/boxer is more accepted and earns good cash than any other fighting sports?
Boxing compare to MMA, wrestling and any othersports that has an opponent to beat...is much famous, much entertaining and is in a good business relationship.how come? why arent other sports mentioned at top did not reach the level of want like boxing?
Answer:
Because, despite the said decline of boxing following, it is still the most watched and most profitable fighting sport as of now. If there are still plenty of people who want to spend their money to watch PPV or live boxing matches, boxers will still be the highest paid fighting athletes.Apparently, MMA is on the rise. But promoters are still not gutsy enough to pay millions of dollars even to the elite and marketable Cage fighters. Promoters have to be sure of their return of investment and a fighter salary of millions is too risky. It may end up as a financial loss for them.Boxing had somewhat slowed this past decade because of fixed fights, corrupt promoters, lacked of drama (post-Tyson), and maybe because of competition from UFC. But now, I'm quite glad because of Pacquiao, Marquez, Cotto, Mosley, and even the villain in Mayweather, boxing has been going strong again.MMA might catch up and maybe overtake boxing but only time can tell. Boxing has a legacy founded for more than a hundred years. Heroes and Legends were made since then. Boxing won't fade away that easily.

Question : How to run faster so it translates in other sports but mainly track?
i don't know my electronic 100m time but it ranges from 12.1 to 12.3. I'm a 13 year old track sprinter trying get my times down to improve my overall speed so it translates into different sports i want to find something besides sprints and other forms of track running cuz of i have daily track practice? Can anybody give me tips and exercise that could shave maybe up to 4/10's of a second off
Answer:
You should try resistance band training and use them for instance on your starts, hamsrtrings, jumps and quads. Band training will help work on your explosive starts, strength and speed. Also try running backwards, form drills and hill sprints. Also cross train try running in the pool for extra resistance or rock climbing. Good luck!

Question : What other sports might a swimmer be good at?
Im 15 years old and iv been swimming since I was 6 and I think that im petty good at it cause I won like 5 trophies at a gala recently sorry if I sound like im bragging. But what other sports might a swimmer be good at I would just like to try something new any ideas?
Answer:
Lance Armstrong started out as a swimmer, so cycling ought to be a good sport. Gymnastics, maybe? Some are good runners, but most aren't. How about wrestling, I'd bet that would be a great cross-over.

Question : Does international soccer frown upon upsets compared to other sports?
I see a small difference in the way international soccer is covered than other sports. The media seems to portray upsets as being negative and not positive, like a David beating Goliath. Sometimes if the underdog is just a slight underdog, they'll give the other team some credit for winning, but not if all the odds are against them. Then they just chalk it up to poor play and make it seem like the underdogs don't really deserve it, as if it's hurting the sport.Does anyone else see this trend or have any idea why this is?

Question : Why is so much emphasis being put on Olympic swimming and no other sports?
On T.V. all i've been seeing is the swimming events and nothing else and I find it really irritating because it would be nice to see other sports.
Answer:
Swimming and Track have the most events. This week track has not started yet. Swimming and gymnastics are big events this week. Next week no swimming but lots of track and field.
