Cute slippers...but sizing is WAY off...

I realize dance slippers run small, so I ordered my niece an ENTIRE size up from her normal. Still way too small. I would seriously recommend you order a size, maybe even two sizes up from what your little one normally wears..

Excellent Ballet shoe

the Capezio Little Kid/big Kid Daisy Ballet shoes are very nicely made. The sizes run a hair small, so order about 1/2 size larger than shoe size. I ordered 2 sizes, not knowing which would fit from previous reviews.I ordered 1/2 size and 1 full size larger than her current shoe size. This worked to my advantage as my child is still growing and out grew the first pair within the first 2 weeks, so we were able to use both pairs, just not for very long with a growing kid. The product is worth the money in my opinion as they are well made. And according to our Ballet teacher, they were also properly made, with the strap in the correct place.

Great shoe

This is a great ballet shoe, however I found the shoe to fit a little big. I had a nine for my three year old that were getting very snug, and thought that I'd be safe with a size 10, but a 9.5 would have been a much better fit.

Rating :

Nice quality, size is WAY OFF

I purchased a pair a size and a half larger than my dauhgter's size - she wear 7, I ordered 8.5. Guess what - it didn't even fit her foot. I compared this ballet shoe with a shoe I purchased for her in the store (8.5 also), and the ballet shoe looked 2 sizes smaller. I am returning them. Not sure I will go with the same brand since the sizing is way off.

Rating :

Great for little ballerinas - but runs a little small

This is clearly a well made ballet shoe. It's pretty and very comfortable for my daughter. She likes it a lot. I did find that the size runs just a little small - not just snug leather, but actually too small. We had them stretched and she wears them to practice at home. Then we bought a larger size that fits perfectly for dance class. I would recommend this shoe to anyone with the suggestion that we buy a little larger than our child's current size.

A quality interval timer that wil make any workout easier to plan and execute with more accuracy and consistency

Customer Review :

Gymboss does it all

Now, I can focus on the workout and not the time. Gymboss tells you when to start and stop. Easy to use, just listen for the alarms. Fast shipping and great product.

Forced Intensity

This tiny clock has shown how lacking in intensity my workouts had been. It took me about 20 minutes of fooling with the gymboss to figure out it's functionality but it's relatively easy to operate once you've got it. It clips tightly to your waist and the vibrate function allows you to set intervals and keep the pace and intensity levels you want and desire. After you've set this thing and clipped it, you're good to go. I put my ipod on and blast away several rounds of intense circuits with a simple vibration to keep me on track. I'm in love with the gymboss.

Rating :

Great Workout Timer

I LOVE love love this timer. It is my second purchase I already own the pink (girly) one. You can set it up to 99 mins and 99 seconds and two different settings, you have a regular timer that acts as a stop watch or you can set it up as an interval timer. It's perfect for Tabata type exercise or interval training. You can set it for up to 99 cycles or of 2 different intervals up to 99mins and 99 seconds. I keep mine on 8 cycles of 10 and 20 seconds for Tabata type exercise.. I also set it up for running intervals 1:00 min walk and 3:00 min run the set it to count the number of cycles automatically.

The programing of it is kinda of complicated if my grandmother were using it. Kinda of like programing a VCR if you know what I mean? The directions are straight forward but if you are not familiar with digital type devices it can be complicated....The clip on the back of the device gives a quick reference guide to turning the device on and off as well as some basic functions.

The best thing about the device is that it takes AAA batteries. It kinda of looks like an old pager from the 1990's but slightly smaller. There are a total of 3 buttons used to set the timer.

Rating :

Excelent!

I saw this used on the BodyRock.tv website with Suzanna using it and this gets the job done when doing any workout implementing intervals.

Editorial Review :

The 21" expandable baton with rubber grip is a blast of fury to an aggressor. The wielder of the baton is the one in control, one whack with this blast bat will send a would be attacker limping off with no intentions of coming back.

Customer Review :

Solid Baton, good for price!

For the price this is a well built solid baton, I am not sure how it would hold up in a survival situation but just holding it and giving it a few good swings makes you feel confident. Will take some getting used to flipping the baton out but once you practice a little it is no problem. I have read reviews where people have had problems getting it to retract to closed position. This was also a problem for me but easily solved, I used a little olive oil and that helped get it closed. You will have to jam it down into a solid surface (cement), It might take a few tries. Rubber grip is good. The baton would stand as a good deterrent for a would be attacker. For the price and good function of this baton I would say it is a good buy.

Rating :

Extremely sturdy!

This is my second expandable baton I've ever used but my first to own. It feels extremely sturdy and unbreakable. Although, I wouldn't do any testing on real hard surfaces. I bought this strictly for self defense. The rubber grip is awesome and the metal butt end makes for a great window/glass breaker even if you don't own the "Bust-a-cap". The only problems I've had with this is upon expanding the baton, a lot of force is needed in order to fully expand it until it is stiff. Half of the time, I will flick it out and it will feel loose and you can feel some play. But if you give it a real hard flick, it will expand all the way till it's stiff. My buddies china baton expanded all the way out after flicking it with less force. Other than that, this is a real great product for it's price and I would most definitely buy a second, and even recommend it, for its price.

Also, shipping came after 3 days of ordering, nice and fast. Like the previous reviewer stated, you get a flashlight keychain if you buy from security pro USA.

lethal.

I to date have only had this thing for bout two hours, and I am absoloutly tickled pink about this death blowing skull crusher of a baton. It sticks out of pockets just a teence but since I don't personally tuck my shirts in it's fairly unnoticeable. The entire baton extended feels very sturdy the way a claw hammer might feel. Negligible collapse issues(just need to show it who's boss when collapsing.) The black coating of the cap at the end will scratch off, and create metal scrapage if you lock it back using concrete or such. It does rattle some what, but nothing anyone can't pass off as noise from a maglight with batteries. Further more, the handle has an attractive rubbered diamond pattern slip(like a bike grip.) Item came with a nylon stop belt pouch that was a little to small...I personally am not fond of it and don't intend to use it. When I had bought this item I had figured this 21" model would be enough reach and that any larger model would have sway. This thing is just long enough for both practicality and concealabilty, albeit, I'm so confident of this items sturdyness that I was quite angry that I did not order the "31" Black Steel Expandable Baton." Be warned this thing is a 3-4 pound _HAZARD_ to safety, and would not be surprised if any cop busted you one irregardless of state or age if you were caught with it, due to it's observable ease to fracture skulls, break bones, shatter spines and joints, paralyze, or kill. NOT A TOY.

Rating :

steel baton-good product

The baton is well built and works with little difficulty straight from the box. The black cushioned handle allows for a firm non-slip grip useful when flicking your wrist to extend the baton or in actual defensive use. This device could also be used in the retracted position as a jabing or punching device as long as you used the but of the handle; using the front of the baton may jam the extension posts. To extend the baton, a moderate downward swing will allows the baton to reach its full length. Striking the fully extended baton at a 90 degree angle to the floor will cause the baton segments to loosen so that may slide back into the handle. So far, no inadvertent deployment when casually holding or rocking the handle. The holster is flimsy, but useable. Leather type holsters are available from third party suppliers.

Another line of defense

This baton is exactly what I was looking for: I wanted a rugged device as a last-resort defense in my apartment, so that I wouldn't need to fights with my bare hands if the worst should happen. I wanted something a little more maneuverable and damaging than a wooden bat that would also be easy to keep by the bed. This compact tool provides me with all of that and thus gives me an additional sense of security at night. It's around 7-8 inches when retracted and fits discretely on my night stand. The rubberized grip is comfortable and the weight balance just right.

The 21-inch size is perfect for extending my reach to keep anyone away from close-quarters combat; it is designed to swing across the body of an approaching aggressor (i.e., downwards from your shoulder at a 45-degree angle), hitting whatever extremity is out in front (fingers, arm, knee, shoulder etc). With any strength behind a swing that connects, there is no question that real damage will be done (e.g., bones breaking, tearing up a knee) and he will be neutralized. Although the baton isn't designed to kill, I also have no doubts that a solid blow to the head could prove lethal.

As others mention, there is probably something to the idea that the sound and look of this thing will intimidate would-be attackers, like when you're outside and approached by someone. There's a near-zero chance I'll ever find out whether this is the case, though.

All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase. This thing feels like it could last forever. Once extended, it is locked firmly in place and can be used without fear of it collapsing at a crucial moment. I find it a little difficult to retract, but this may be because I have yet to really break it in.

Basic. Good Price

These are easy gloves. Used them the first day I got them to spar a bit. Comfy, nothing too over the top. simple. Great price. does what it needs to do!

Rating :

Decent Training Gloves

The Everlast Pro Style Training Gloves are a decent pair of gloves to train on the heavy bags with. They are ok for sparring but I would prefer something with a little more padding. The only slight issue that I have with the gloves is that they are a tight fit with wraps on. I use the Evergel 120" speed wraps and it is a little hard to get the gloves on. I don't have big hands I have average sized hands. So if you have big hands I would try looking for a different pair. Overall, it is a good pair of gloves for hitting the heavy bag. I would just suggest to getting a thicker pair of gloves if you want to spar.

Rating :

Great work out gloves for the price

These gloves are comfiortable and quick dry, great for daily workouts.

Note the thumb is attached to teh fingers so picking up a water bottle to drink from during a workout is difficult.

Rating :

Misleading Product Photos

I bought these gloves from MMA One Stop Shop and received a pair of gloves that did not match the photos above. There was no mesh ventilation. I already own these style gloves without the mesh and it is difficult to keep them from getting stinky, even when I clean them right after use with lysol.

Rating :

Nice for light sparring but dont hit the bag or your opponent too hard with any gloves like these

We do a lot of sparring at the gym. Everlast is ususally a good bet. I have only heard of everlast boxing gloves falling apart too early maybe twice over the last 14 years. These are good gloves for sparing, etc. I still keep a pair in my bag but I made the switch to a higher priced glove a while back and haven't pulled these out of the bag since. I've gone through a few pairs of these gloves over the years and they are well worth the money. Once you go to a higher quality brand you probably won't go back to these, but they get the job done for a good price. I wouldn't recommend them for just hitting the bag because they're a bit hard and you risk damaging your wrist.

Questions & Answers
Question : What sports can somebody with one leg shorter than the other play?
Would having a shortened leg be an advantage in tennis, for a stronger serve? Volley ball? Golf? Any other sports?

Answer:
I use to have that problem, I got surgery when I was younger to fix it though.Golf is one that is nonbiased because you learn how to compensate early on. Tennis you can, although it can be tougher.Swimming and wrestling def. are the same way as Golf is. Really, you can even do baseball easy if you're a pitcher. Don't let anything stop you, find ways to get around it but most of all just have fun doing it.

Question : What can we do to grow Pinoys interest and passion toward other sports besides basketball?
Basketball is a popular sport that Filipinos love to play. And while we are very good at it, it is always better to introduce other sports to sharpen new skills and discover amazing talents that could bring more pride to the country. There are also plenty of Filipino athletes who excel at other sports and who work hard at their craft too. These athletes deserve the same kind of support and opportunities from the government, the media, advertisers and fans.

Answer:
First of all, i'm glad you asked that question. It's about time that Filipinos realize that basketball is not the only sport we can be good at. Manny has proved that in boxing, and Efren Reyes in pool. But so much for the relatively 'older' generation, what's in store for the younger generation? Basketball has always been popular in the Philippines since the American colonial period. Even politicians support it by putting up basketball courts as part of their community projects. I, for one play the sport, though not a super duper fan of it. I'm a soccer/ football player. I'm a swimmer, too. And okay, so I am an athlete and a contingent of Generation Y. What we can do is help popularize other sports by integrating them in our media, which is a very powerful communicating tool to us TV watchers. Why not have sports shows or something? Putting up clubs and organizations that will encourage the discovery of hidden talents and the mastering of skills is one way too. Also, we should recognize the Filipinos, especially the younger ones, who have brought honor to the country. In this way, other kids could see that if they could do it, why can't I? I guess Milo is doing that, by introducing Filipino athletes excelling in different sports played in the country, as seen in their green Milo sachets. The government could play a part in this endeavor as well. Although it may not become their priority for now, officials could at least show their support by showing up when they're invited to their own children's competitions, or in the tournaments/programs in their respective areas of influence. So something like that, Mr. Chris. This is my first time to give an Answer. Hope this one has been beneficial enough to be applied in the soonest time possible. =)

Question : Why is so much emphasis being put on Olympic swimming and no other sports?
On T.V. all i've been seeing is the swimming events and nothing else and I find it really irritating because it would be nice to see other sports.

Answer:
Swimming and Track have the most events. This week track has not started yet. Swimming and gymnastics are big events this week. Next week no swimming but lots of track and field.

Question : other sports?
other then normal sports baseball basketball football etc. wat r some rele interesting sports to try

Answer:
Rugby, Lacrosse, Frisbee that's all I can think of but they are really good action sports, just like the main normal sports, I am surprised they are not as popular now..

Question : What other physical activities or sports can I play in Singapore?
I want to find something interesting to do. I have already tried:- tree climbing-scuba diving- golfingWhat other sports could I undertake? Can you give me web links?

Answer:
perhaps try out Cable ski???http://www.ski360degree.com/You can try out swimming in any Singapore Swimming Complex...They are cheap in the admission fees

Question : What other sports might a swimmer be good at?
Im 15 years old and iv been swimming since I was 6 and I think that im petty good at it cause I won like 5 trophies at a gala recently sorry if I sound like im bragging. But what other sports might a swimmer be good at I would just like to try something new any ideas?

Answer:
Lance Armstrong started out as a swimmer, so cycling ought to be a good sport. Gymnastics, maybe? Some are good runners, but most aren't. How about wrestling, I'd bet that would be a great cross-over.

Question : How come boxing/boxer is more accepted and earns good cash than any other fighting sports?
Boxing compare to MMA, wrestling and any othersports that has an opponent to beat...is much famous, much entertaining and is in a good business relationship.how come? why arent other sports mentioned at top did not reach the level of want like boxing?

Answer:
Because, despite the said decline of boxing following, it is still the most watched and most profitable fighting sport as of now. If there are still plenty of people who want to spend their money to watch PPV or live boxing matches, boxers will still be the highest paid fighting athletes.Apparently, MMA is on the rise. But promoters are still not gutsy enough to pay millions of dollars even to the elite and marketable Cage fighters. Promoters have to be sure of their return of investment and a fighter salary of millions is too risky. It may end up as a financial loss for them.Boxing had somewhat slowed this past decade because of fixed fights, corrupt promoters, lacked of drama (post-Tyson), and maybe because of competition from UFC. But now, I'm quite glad because of Pacquiao, Marquez, Cotto, Mosley, and even the villain in Mayweather, boxing has been going strong again.MMA might catch up and maybe overtake boxing but only time can tell. Boxing has a legacy founded for more than a hundred years. Heroes and Legends were made since then. Boxing won't fade away that easily.

Question : How to run faster so it translates in other sports but mainly track?
i don't know my electronic 100m time but it ranges from 12.1 to 12.3. I'm a 13 year old track sprinter trying get my times down to improve my overall speed so it translates into different sports i want to find something besides sprints and other forms of track running cuz of i have daily track practice? Can anybody give me tips and exercise that could shave maybe up to 4/10's of a second off

Answer:
You should try resistance band training and use them for instance on your starts, hamsrtrings, jumps and quads. Band training will help work on your explosive starts, strength and speed. Also try running backwards, form drills and hill sprints. Also cross train try running in the pool for extra resistance or rock climbing. Good luck!
