It does what it claim, but with risk

I purchased this product to help with my hair growth. It definitely grew my hair, but I experienced alot of shedding. I immediately stopped using. I know you can take garlic supplement to stop the shedding, so I will start using it once I get my hands on some natural garlic pills.

Mega-tek Really Works

I was very upset with my hair thinning. Decided to just stop using what my dermatologist has suggested. Started using this product and WEN and found it really has improved my hair. I would recommend it to anyone suffering from Track Alopecia. The thin sports are beginning to cover up with hair. Also received this product in a good time from when I ordered. It reached me undamaged and in good shape.

Great to have around!

This product works incredibly well for my family. I use it on everything from dry, cracked heels, to skinned knees, and it keeps skin soft and protected while helping to heal. I've even used it on my dogs' minor skin irritations and had great success.
It's a generously sized container, and I feel that I definitely got my money's worth. However, the product itslef-- while working very well-- does smell a bit odd, and is hard to wash out of clothing/bedding. Provided that one is careful with it,l this isn't a problem, adn I highly recommend this product!

Superior Product.....

I had seen the familiar Bag Balm container in drug stores for years before finally buying some. I decided to purchase it after seeing an article about it in the local paper here. It spoke of its history and its superior moisturizing and protective qualities, and, though it was originally designed for use on livestock, it has become extremely popular with people. Like a lot of other folks, I sometimes suffer from dry skin. Especially in the winter time when the air is cold and dry. And when I am out on a hike and my skin is exposed to dry wintry blasts of air continually. A visit to the drug store aisle to check out skin conditioners will serve to enlighten one that they are certainly not alone. There are tons of every kind of skin conditioner one can imagine. All conditioners, or balms, seem to work well at first. They moisten and condition the skin effectively enough. However, the real test comes over time in the hopes that it will well stay that way for a while. That is where this Bag Balm (BB) goes to the head of the class over all others.

If you have never seen or used BB before, you may at first be put of by its consistency, which will remind one of a thinner version of Vaseline. Although it is a little thick and gooey like Vaseline, it does not stay in that state for long once it is spread on the skin. It feels at first rather slimy, but quickly dries and forms a very effective coating on the skin. Though you can feel it on your skin for hours after application, it neither feels tacky nor sticks to your clothing. And it is nothing less than superior in its moisturizing properties. Even the driest skin will not see BB just disappear and be in need of another application in just a couple of hours like so many other lotions. Personally I apply it once a day when needed and just forget about it until the next. It is by far the best moisturizing ointment I have ever used anywhere. I have to stop a little short in recommending someone smear BB all over ones arms and legs like a lot of women do with other lotions. Especially if your going to be out and about. It can be used that way of course, but its thickness and consistency may prove to be a little much in that respect. That doesn't mean that some folks may not find its feel all that much to bear up under and use it as an overall lotion. However personally I feel better recommending it for dry patches, and other kinds of skin abrasions. For such use there is absolutely nothing better that I have ever experienced. I routinely spread some on my face when hiking and have never gotten wind burned or suffered dry skin no matter how long I am out there.

In conclusion, the "medicinal" scent that other reviewers here have mentioned is barely noticeable to me, and quickly disappears after application in any event. I would have to say that Bag Balm has less fragrance to it than any other lotion that has a scent at all. Also, I am far from being put off by this products original purpose being for use on cattle and other livestock. It has been used far too long by people to be referred to strictly as a veterinary product that has made the crossover. It's my recommendation that if you suffer from relentless dry skin that you don't let its original purpose matter to you either. It is certainly not the first product that was originally created with another use in mind, that eventually was found to have a further benefit in some other area. My experience with Bag Balm is that it works so well on dry skin that it eventually puts itself out of business. That is to say, the dry patches just eventually just stop appearing and you can slack off on its use for quite some time. So unless you live in Death Valley, this 10 oz can of balm should last you a year or more.

Its the very best at doing what it is supposed to do, and I highly recommend it...

Seems Like a Good Product

I have just received this recently and wanted to comment. First of all, the medicinal smell is very mild. From the other reviews I was concerned, but it is only noticable for a short time and not too bad at all. If it didn't have a smell, it would just be the same as Vasoline, as it is very simular in consistency. I have yet to see how well it works long term for rashes/etc but so far I think it has potential.

3/5/10 Update: I had some very dry and cracked skin on my hand and used this for 3 days under a bandaid, it totally cleared up and I was happy with the results. Have tried it on other areas with not as much success, but it is worth a try for sure. Much like Vasoline but with some medicated properties.

Give Your Boots A Second Wind

Kiwi Wax Polish offers your boots, shoes, and footwear that optimistic lucky break. This returns them to a shiny new foot life instead of a dull scuffed `think it'll look better in my closet' view. Before being tempted to buy a different set of boots, try this (as it may serve as a much cheaper alternative).

It's quite easy to apply and other `tools' such as a brush can be combined to make it easier. I just settle for an old rag and polished my expensive boots up. It's good for filling in these torn rough areas on footwear and is moderately cheap to purchase. After applying a layer you simply buff them and you're good to go. Remember you have more then enough to add another layer at a later time if this fails to work. Also keep in mind, this is not magic in a container, it takes time. So if you're going to a meeting with some battle scar boots, don't do this before hoping into your vehicle and expect miracle results.

It took my boots two applications, but I'm glad it worked.

Love it, try it

I love this shampoo. Due to hormone issues, my hair was fine, started losing it, and my hair took so long to grow 1 cm. I used for 4 wks and it grew almost 1 inch and is healthier. I got the shine back in my hair and it's thicker. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. I have been trying so hard to get my fix my hair. I mean it's been years and I can't find anything. I used oils and other stuff, but it was not working and I just gave up. When my friend and I decided to try this shampoo, we were checking out and the cashier asked if it was for us or our horses. After telling her it's for us, she said it works great, her and her sisters all used it when they were younger and with long hair.

Not For Those With Chemically-Treated Hair!

After reading rave reviews online, I decided to give Mane N Tail a try and was sorely disappointed. My hair is permed and using both the shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling dry, trashy and riddled with split ends. I think this shampoo is better suited for people with hair that has not been weakened by relaxers as the shampoo strips your hair of any essential oil and moisture. Chemically-treated hair requires a fortifying shampoo that will strengthen the hair shaft and this shampoo does not do that!

Fully functional whip is constructed from genuine leather. Traditional favorites for a wide variety of uses.

Customer Review :

Okay for the price

Bought this for my halloween costume. I was a dominatrix. I broke the leather thong off at the end trying to get it out of the package. They sent it to me wrapped in plastic and tape, really hard to unpackage. I ended up fixing the leather thong, but it broke again afterwards. It served it's purpose and was really cheap. If you'll be using it often though, I'd spend more for something that will last longer.

this product started to fall apart after only a few swings. After a week of use the tip fell off. It would be fine for one time bedroom play but nothing else.

Rating :

Whip it!

I didn't expect much for the price and the quality seems in line with the cost. The crop is extremely flexible which gives it a lot of wiggle and play - not great for the novice player who is likely to be tempted by the price. And I suspect it wouldn't hold up well to the heavy use of a regular player, but haven't tested it to that extent to date.

On the upside, it has a nice surprisingly sharp sting. Just be sure to test it out before use, use a light hand until you get a feel for it and don't expect it to last too long.

Rating :

GARBAGE!!

I would have to completely review with everyone who reviewed this product except for "WHIP IT GOOD." Didn't even get a chance to use it properly before the tip broke. It arrived with cracked leather and missing paint, very cheap not worth even the five bucks it's listed at.

Rating :

not for any one if u want a whip that u can use several time but not a long time, this is for u. its not that flexible and mine broke after 2 weeks.

Questions & Answers
Question : Does Australia really have an Equestrian team competing
Compared with the coverage the other sports are getting you wouldn't think so. Their that close to Gold and what coverage or wrap up are they getting. GOOD on you 7, the Aussie spirit you don't have.

Answer:
About time someone asked this question. More to the point, what is the point of having a schedule that indicates the time equestrian events will be televised when this does not happen? The schedule on this website indicates that on the 12th of August the showjumping for the eventing final will be covered at 915pm. It is now 9:48pm and no showjumping. The same thing happened yesterday. Equestrian was scheduled for 10:30am. It began at 11:30 and was covered sporadically. What is the point of the schedule? I am so sick of this CRAPPY coverage. Very poor and inadequate coverage channel 7. A crap coverage of a traditionally Australian gold medal sport. Missed the mark by a country mile channel 7.

Question : Are there any sports NOT of European origin?
Golf, soccer and curling come from Scotland. American football owes it's existence to England's game of Rugby (from the school of the same name). Basketball started in Great Britain as net-ball and baseball developed from the old English game of rounders. The list goes on and on, from tennis to darts, rowing to skiing and all other winter sorts. Then there's boxing, wrestling, fencing, cricket, badminton, lacrosse, equestrian sports and bio-mechanical one's like cycling and Formula- One racing. Indeed, the list of European sports ( British, in particular) and those of European origin is so lengthy that it would be impossible to enumerate them all.

Answer:
Polo comes to mind. Khazak nomads swatting goat heads and defeated enemy skulls about the Steppes. And horse racing probably comes from that area, too. Euro horses were draft animals.

Question : Revising list of summer olympic sports?
Does anyone else agree with me when I say that the following "sports" (more so activities), should be removed from the Olympic games?ArcheryBadmintonCanoe/kayakEquestrianFootballFencingHandballSailingShootingTable tennisIn my opinion, they are more activities than anything else and aren't anywhere near as athletic as other sports. I myself just missed going to the Olympic games this year for swimming, and this is just my view. Please support your answer!!

Answer:
of all the sports listed above, I want the sport equestrian to be removed as Olympic sports simply because there is no activity on the part of the athlete. Its the horse who is doing all the stenious activities. another reason is that only a few countries mostly European countries and almost no African country participate in this sport.

Question : Which Sports should be deleted from the Olympics, and which should be added?
Baseball and Softball have been deleted from London 2012, so which other sports should be given thier marching orders. Equestrian is my thought, as it is expensive to run, so it is only for the rich countries. So which sports should be deleted, and conversley, which should be added.I think Rugby 7's should be added. Easy to run, great fun, and there are lots of countries who have a team.

Answer:
i will agree with you that equestrian should be excluded from the Summer Games. aside from being an expensive sport. only European countries can compete and Egypt is the only African country who regularly competes in this sport so it is not considered as an universal sport.i like Karate to be included in the future Olympics. since we have to have more contact sports. Rugby 7 could be an interesting addition as well.

Question : Why isn't there an "equestrian" option in Yahoo Answers for the Sports category?
Personally, I'm a bit irritated that the only way to ask questions about equestrian sports is in the "pets" section. Horses are not pets, especially for people who ride competitively. Equestrian sports are just that: sports. Anyone who has ridden a horse knows how it takes muscles to ride and body control. For people who think riding is easy, I invite them to hop on a horse and post the trot without stirrups and report back! How do other people feel about this?

Answer:
Meg, you are fortunate that there is even a "horses" section at all under the Pets category- when I joined YA two years ago, even this didn't exist- the only section having anything at all to do with horses was the one about horse racing. It took many months of letters and complaints by myself and by other horse lovers on here before we were FINALLY given a section of our own about a year and a half ago now. If you want a section specifically for non racing horse sports, then you are going to have to write a lot of letters and petition YA's leadership about it, and get other performance horse enthusiasts to do likewise. It's a case of being the squeaky wheel, Meg. The more letters you write, and the more you get other people to join your cause, the greater the likelyhood you'll be paid attention to. I agree that horse sports are sports- indeed, they are some of the oldest sports in existence. Dressage alone is over 2600 years old- and polo, which my sister plays as a hobby, is even older than that. Eventing came from the tests given to calvary officers and their mounts, and was invented by the great armies of Europe and Asia as a means of determining who was fit to lead troops in combat or mounted warfare. The ancient Olympic games included a forerunner of the modern 3 Day called the Militare, along with regular horse and chariot races. Show jumping also was invented by the various militaries- this sport came from the jumping contests which officers from different divisions often got into. These people rode against one another and against the clock, trying to see who could jump the highest and who could jump as many fences as possible in the least amount of time. So I challenge anybody who says that horse sports aren't sports. There's a long list of Western style disciplines as well, most of which are actually based on the practical skills which all cowboys and ranch hands had to have in order to earn a living. Just because these skills were necessary didn't mean that people couldn't have fun doing them or developing them- competition is part of the human condition and has been so since the dawn of time. A sport is something which is done for fun as well as for other reasons- and the people at YA need to recognize that.

Question : A question about cruelty at rodeos?
Firstly, I'm not a huge rodeo supporter. I'm not against it, I just don't go to them unless one of my mates is competing. Now people are always going on about the 'cruelty' of the buck strap and horses get injured. (I know they use bulls too but let's just concentrate on the horses.)But I was thinking the other day, why should rodeos be considered different from other equestrian sports?1) Dressage- They use large severe bits. Some people take it too far and make the hrose carry it's head unnaturally high (the horse bends in the wrong place)2) Show Jumping - Horses get whipped for refusals. They hit their legs, pull tendons, fall or crash through the fence.3) Cross Country - Jumping large solid fences that can cause a horse to flip over. Falls in this sport can be very serious.4) Western Pleasure - Horses are made to carry their head ridiculously low which puts undue strain on their front legs.5) Racing - very dangerous sport for both horse and jockey mainly because a group of horses are moving close together at speed. These are just a few quick notes other wise you'll be reading all day. It just annoys me with these 'do-gooders' who whinge about rodeos but it is just another equestrian sport. I know horses can get hurt but they get hurt in other sports too. A minute or so with a buck strap would be more comfortable than say 10 minutes in a double bridle for a dressage test. There are people who make rodeos look bad but there are plenty of bad people in the other sports. Crooked trainers, cruel or ignorant riders are everywhere. Have you all looked out for them? Or do you all have blinkers on. When you actually keep your eyes open you'd be amazed what you can see.YeeeHaw, now if you were to set the horse free where exactly would they go? My horse is happy at home where he gets fed, not running about on some highway.Hannah, I don't think riding is cruel. I was trying to point out that other sports have their faults as well. I am an eventer but I'm just concentrating on show jumping at the moment. I don't smack my horse for a refusal but won't hesitate to lay one on him if he bucks or does something equally nasty. But he very rarely does anything that earns more than a scolding :)

Answer:
I can see your point.I was in the racing industry for a while and the level of cruelty is very high in so much as the horse is often denied turn out and other "normal" behaviour.A friend of mine also worked for many years for a top class dressage rider and told me that some of the most expensive horses had never been turned out in their lives and only went from the stable to the arena or the horsebox to the competition, no hacking, no turnout. There are many ways to be cruel in equestrianism, some of it long running in a low level way and some of it quickly over such as a rodeo.I once read that the happiest "working" horse in the world is the top class rodeo bucker. He is neither mollycoddled or petted, he is kept at liberty until needed and well fed, and he never ever has to submit to the rider.I will continue to have horses all my life but never pretend that they are any less than slaves, "objects" you have control over and can sell of have put down at a whim.Harsh sounding it may be but the truth.

Question : What sports and what events do men and women compete in the Olympics against each other?
I know that men and women compete against each other in some of the equestrian events, like dressage and show jumping. I think men and women also compete against each other in Badminton mixed teams. According to the nbcolympics.com website there are 3 sports, but I only found 2. I think they used to have mixed doubles in tennis, but no more. What else?

Answer:
Table tennis if i'm not mistaken

Question : Are Equestrian sports considered a "team sport"?
My hubby's EX believes that baseball and soccer are better sports for the boys because they are on a "team" and have to learn to get along with others. Although she says she's supportive of the boys taking riding lessons and being around horses, (which they enjoy and willingly ask to do) she goes to no efforts whatsoever to schedule or make time for them to ride, because they are involved in the "team sports".Being a riding coach for over 20 years I suggested that riding in a barn where there are lots of other kids riding and learning is just as much a team sport as baseball or soccer. I believe even more so... riding and learning to ride requires support and patience from everyone. Beginners at our barn are encouraged and empowered to keep working at the skill of horseback riding by all the other kids that ride. They are taught to motivate and guide others that are less experienced than they are and to help out whenever they can.But sadly, since the EX is a control freak the kids will miss out on this opportunity. What are other equestrians thoughts on this?

Answer:
YEAHH, the people i ride with at the barn hav become great friends, we do stuff together, and we support eachother-- since it takes soo much dedication we see eachother more often then wen playing baseball and stuff, there is time to bond with eachother while doing horsey things like grooming and shows- i have learned way more life skills by riding then any other "team" sport could teach me its wayyy better

Question : Question About Equestrianism?
Okay, if you've read/ seen my latest questions, I want to do Dressage and maybe Show Jumping. I was just wondering though, why is everything so expensive? Also, what do you think on Show Jumping and Dressage? Last question, how can I make money to pay for a helmet, breeches, boots and other things needed for these two sports or any other Equestrian sports? Thanks so much! Merry Christmas!P.S. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I just want to say that you guys are the best! You have helped me so much this past year and just want to thank all of you!Oh yeah, by the way I'm only 14 so that limits a lot of jobs. Thanks!

Answer:
Everything is so expensive because it's inelastic - meaning there are no substitutes for us equestrians to go buy something else. So everyone hikes up their prices because we really have no where else to go lol... we are sort of forced to pay that much because we NEED those things, you know? Some of it is reasonable though... it's the quality leather, craftsmanship, etc, that makes it so valuable. What do I think on Show Jumping and Dressage? I love both of them. I'm an eventer so dressage, jumping, and cross country are my favorite things. Let me just say, I had no idea you were 14, because your grammar and spelling is quite good for a 14 year old. Good job! I hate seeing the terrible writing that some young people display on here. At 14 you could do odd jobs like mow lawns (or shovel snow off of sidewalks... that's more realistic this time of year!), you could ask your parents if there are things they need you to do that you could earn money for. You could go and clean stalls and do other chores at a local stables. You could babysit (I hate babysitting, but hey, whatever it takes to make some money LOL). I'm sure you will find something to do. Good luck.

Question : Whoever said that Badminton needs to be removed from Olympic doesn't know s#$% about Badminton!?
I read the news and bulletin board about Badminton being petitioned to be removed from Olympics. What a tard. The sport is awesome, requires a lot more agility/speed/power/flexibility than most other sports (equestrian? shooting?). The reason people say so is because they are probably Americans who complain to anything they can't get a gold medal from. Get a life.

Answer:
Although it's true that Americans in general underestimate the ridiculous endurance in badminton, it's no reason to rant and generalize about Americans.Snow: Because the shuttlecocks float towards the floor, points are very long and it is very difficult to put the point away. There's a lot of running all over the court, and smashes all the time. Thus, players continuously save the birdie from hitting the ground a lot every single point. Equestrian is relatively popular and shouldn't be removed in my opinion, but the horse is considered much more of an athlete than the jockey. Badminton requires much more endurance than tennis because it also requires running from the back of the court to the front multiple times throughout a point rather than just mostly side-to-side. I'm saying this and tennis is my favorite sport. If you're not tired then you're not playing good opponents. Seriously, after 2 games to 21 I lose a lot of grip on my racket because I use my wrist so much for smashing so much. I can get tennis arm and it can hurt a lot, but at least I can still hold a pen and write afterwards. And I'm currently watching the '08 Olympics badminton finals live, and it's sold out. Badminton isn't popular in Europe, but it is quite popular in Asia.I also can't talk to you like this because it's chatting and violating Yahoo answer's community guides, but I'll tell you I'm watching here:http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/live/index.htmlAnd if you watch, you'll see how many smashes and drop shots there are every point and how difficult it really is to put a point away. A lot of movement all over the court can get really tiring. I love tennis, but it's relatively clear badminton requires more endurance on average for every point.Last point: You'll most likely find better racquetball and tennis players in the U.S. than good badminton players. Play the average player on a Chinese school's badminton team and the only reason you won't be tired is because you would've lost the match so quickly. Constantly jump-smashing takes a lot out of you.
