There is very little the Swiss Army and I cant fix!
I never concidered myself a pocket knife guy. I always thought they were for boy scouts and my dad! I recieved one of these knives as a gift several years ago and now I hate to go with out it. I don't like a lot of stuff in my pocket, but this knife is very small. I use it multiple time a day for cutting boxes, opening hay bales, and my kids toys packages. Nothing could be worse then haveing a new toy and not being able to get the package open!
But like I said, Iuse this knife every day. There is very little the Swiss army and I cant fix.

A must have!
I had a Swiss Classic that I lost a few months back and when it was gone I was able to see how often it used to come in handy. It was like not having a cell phone... Ok, not that serious but I did really need it. So, I purchased another and am now back in a normal mode...

A Great Little Knife, but a Dangerous Weapon
I keep my long lived and indispensable Swiss Army Knife on a keyring clipped to a belt loop on my pants, so it is always with me. On a recent vacation I remembered to remove it when flying out of Logan but unfortunately forgot to pack it in checked baggage before going through security at San Francisco International for the return flight. The TSA guys did their jobs and confiscated it (I would have been worried if they hadn't). So I'm ordering a new one. I hope someone at SFO gets as much use from my old one as I did.

Great for Everyday Carry
Just recently bought this victorinox product to replace an older version I had for 5 years. It works the same as the original. It's convenient, doesn't get in the way of everyday tasks. It's great for everyday things.

Great set of knives
This is a set of two knives. I keep one on my key ring and one in my car. Works exactly as advertised. Good price.

As handy as ever
The only negative I can say about this knife is that I didn't notice it didn't have a corkscrew, until I needed a corkscrew. Baring that, this has been a marvelous addition to my pocket toolkit.

Exactly what I ordered
I ordered this for my husband. He has always wanted a swiss army knife, so I started looking for one. Man are they way cheaper here than in store. I found the same one in store and they wanted 50 just for the big one. Great deal as usuall from Amazon.

Great and handy gift
My boyfriend had the small knife on his key chain and forgot to remove it on a recent trip. Another loss to airport security!! I found a replacement on Amazon and got the larger size knife too. This came in handy on a recent fishing trip.

About Swiss Army Knives In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.
Customer Review :
Invaluable to have around
Not much to say, except that a Swiss Army knife is a darned handy thing to have around, and that the Victorinox brand is well worth the slight increase in cost over no-name brands. This is the first big SAK I've bought in many years; a hotel chambermaid made off with my old one. This model doesn't have the pliers, but I often have a Leatherman around also, and it *does* have the scissors, which are darned handy, more often than I would have expected. The Victorinox line--at least, every one I've owned and that's a handful--are exceedingly well made and with a little care, will last a LONG time (unless you hit a hotel with a crooked chambermaid.) I've got at least one of these, or some combination of a SAK and a Leatherman, in my satchel when I'm working and in my camera bag when I'm on vacation. How could you live without one?

The MacGyver's Knife
Since I saw the series during my childhood, I have always known the Swiss-Army knife as the MacGyver's Knife. I bought it as one of the items recommended to carry along during a long strenous hiking trip. It is probably not very accurate to call this thing a knife, but close enough since it also has a flat-head and phillips screwdrivers, a can and bottle opener, a hook, a small magnifying glass, a saw and a saw-straight-edge combo. One problem I notice is that because there are so many items packed in one piece, some of the items are hard to be brought out. It takes some effort to pull them out of the slot where they are embedded in. Be careful when pulling an item while some other sharp items nearby have been pulled out already since you might accidentally cut yourself as I have done at least once. I also noticed the user's guide seems to imply that there is a plier included but somehow I have not found it. There are a few more accessories shown as separate pieces that I did not receive; what appears to be a tweezer, a nail, a stylus and two other items that I'm not sure what they are. Perhaps the plier and these extras are for a different model? Anyway, all objections aside, I still think this knife is worth buying and keeping for emergency uses.

great deal
My son wanted a pocket knife for his birthday. I checked a local sporting goods store, and a similar model cost far more. He is delighted with his knife and I was delighted with the price.

More than just a knife
There are a lot of useful tools included on this knife (see the product description), but I find the nice sharp knives, small Phillips screwdriver, functional scissors (really), wood saw, and ball point pen to be the most heavily used. These are all great tools and have saved me a lot of time and trouble when the need arose. I like this knife so much that we ordered 2 more to give as gifts. Highly Recommended! Having the Champion Plus Pocket Knife is like carrying a small toolbox in your pocket. It is a little too big to haul around for everyday use, but it is great to have when hiking or doing small jobs around the house. This is a well made, solid Swiss Army knife that will give years of service.

Got it all
This pocket knife is great. It has so many functions and they're actually usable. The first day I had it I used it to install a car stereo, using the phillips screwdriver which is high quality and even the wire stripper, while not my first choice in wire strippers it definitely can get the job done. The magnifying glass is excellent as well. I was recently at a wedding which was held outdoors and they had adult beverages but I couldn't find a bottle opener and then remembered I had my swiss army knife on me and I was suddenly relieved haha. The blades come very sharp. This is my first Victorinox Swiss Army knife, I've had other knock off brands and now I know what all the hype is about, these really are high quality all-in-one pocket knives. If I could've found the champion (the one with the pliers) for as close of a good deal as I did the champion plus I can see how the pliers could be useful in certain situations.

Designed for use with tools that have a large bit driver 3.25" Extension Holds standard Leatherman(R) bits & standard hex bits
Customer Review :
AWESOME driver extension
This extension is simply awesome for the Leatherman. I love it. It can be used independently of the Leatherman as a "stubby" screwdriver with the bits, or as an actual extension with ease. The only drawback I have found yet is that sometimes I wish I had an extension that would clamp into a hex-drive impact or a drill easily, this one will not. Still, you can't have everything in one item, and this is a great tool.
Rating :
Another handy gadget, but where to put it?
A handy tool at times to be sure, but all these Letherman gadgets need good ways to pack them around and keep them handy. How many items can you really carry in your pocket? The bits have a holster, but they need a sleeve/pocket in the bit holster or in all the Leatherman tool holsters to carry the extension. Also the MSRP is too high as is common for an item listed here. Check the Leatherman website as the MSRP quoted here is not correct.
[...]
It is not a bad price here though, just the often exaggerated discount from list.
The picture does not show a notch in the Leatherman side, but it needs one to not fall out of the Skeletool or some other Leatherman tools with the spring release catch. It is a good quality accessory though if you can use it.
Rating :
Yeah, but where to store it?
This is great little tool to use with the main Leatherman tool; however, storing it is another issue. The sheath has two small loops but they are too big, this driver extension falls right through. I'd hate to lose it. So I just keep it in another pocket.
Rating :
Handy accessory for your leatherman
This is a neat little addition to my leatherman. I like it becasue it works with my Leatherman Skeletool and it fits nicely in my nylon belt sheath. Occasionally you need to reach a fastener in a recessed position and this extension will help you do it. A point that another reviewer also mentioned is the fact that you can operate the Skeletool bit driver with the handle closed if needed which makes it much more comfortable and a bit less awkward to use.

How did this leave the factory, QC on midnight shift needs to be told about this! I have to use my Leatherman Wave's pliers to use the bits in the optional #934870 Bit Assortment to either insert or remove them from the #931009 bit driver extension. I called Leatherman and told the customer service rep. and she noticed the same problem. With difficulty you can use Leatherman's bit but forget about using ordinary hex bits. You can insert them about a 1/16" and they get caught on that geniusly designed retaining spring inside the extension bars socket. If I forced it in I am not sure I could even get it out. I am sending this one back and try another and if the same thing happens I will send it back for a refund. Leatherman you make quality tools. I have owned an original multi-purpose tool for years and they have never let me down.

Great Leatherman
Leatherman tools have come a long way since my first tool. This multi tool is a great item to have perfect for all the little odd jobs around the house
Rating :
The right tool for every job
I had a Gerber multi-tool before and it was useful, but lacked the scissors and the small screwdrivers, plus the blades were smaller. I work in IT and also I tinker with many things personally, from cars to home improvemant: there is not a day where I don't pull out my Wave for something. I also carry the Squirt ES4 attached to my keychain, and I use that regularly as well. I've had the Wave for almost 2 years and it has performed flawlessly. I use it when I take my son fishing as well, the pliers pull out hooks, the cutter blade was useful more than once cutting snagged ropes and lines, plus freeing a tangled pelican. Just make sure you don't drop it on your foot with the knife blade open, as it has a tendency to fall with the tip straight down. Ouch.. :)
Rating :
Could've been perfect, missed it by a micron
First let me start by saying this tool, in conjunction with the flat-pack bit set, is probably the best portable toolkit I've ever had. I've carried (and still carry) a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife for over thirty years but had resisted getting a Leatherman despite the obvious utility of folding pliers until they resolved the floppy blade and painful handgrip problems.
Which they have on this wonderful tool, one of which was given to me by my wife (thanks, Wife) for Christmas a couple of years ago.
The knife blades, the wood saw - very sharp - and the diamond file(!) all lock in a nice positive manner, and the lock is easy to disengage when time comes to put the blade away again. The serrated blade is identified by a ripple milled into the top (blunt) edge, so you know which blade is which before you unfold it without the need to take your eyes of whatever it is you are about to cut, saw or file.
The internal blades (screwdrivers etc) are a bit stiffer to unfold, but also lock positively. The lock is easy to disengage with a thumb.
The screwdriver adapter is probably the neatest folding knife/multitool idea I've ever seen, and the odd-looking "shaved" bits in the bit kit all work perfectly. I've used these bits to dismantle computers (big-ass servers) from racking equipment, stop cubicle walls from going "Office Space" on me, strip a vacuum cleaner and about a dozen other classes of fastener-related on-the-spot jobs that would normally require a box o' tools. The bit supplied with the Wave is a MEGA-useful reversible slotted/Phillips #2 that will probably serve most people for all their needs.
I found myself wondering why they had included a traditional slotted screwdriver in addition to the adapter/bit tool until I realized that the screwdriver wasn't a screwdriver, but a pry bar for opening e.g. paint tins. It works as a screwdriver too. Bonus!
The can/bottle opener/wire stripper is very rugged and I've found it absolutely fit for all three purposes.
The scissors are nice and tight, but only useful for small, light duty. What do you expect with jaws around an inch long?
The eyeglass screwdriver bit, mounted in its own rather large adapter, is somewhat less useful. The adapter gets in the way of most jobs and I've found the Phillips bit (the bit is double ended with slotted and Phillips ends) less positive in a typical screw than the same-sized miniature screwdriver from Radio Shack. I've been able to use it for some jobs, but overall it's not as well executed as the other blades on this wonderful tool. The bit needs a redesign in my opinion.
The lanyard loop is so well hidden it took me two days to find it, and I've spoken with other owners who didn't know it was there at all. Mine is difficult to deploy, requiring something to pry it out with, and difficult to stow - I usually end up pressing it back against a block of wood after use) This needs a redesign in my opinion.
Leatherman have rearranged the blades in the Wave to eliminate the painful grip problem, but in doing so have introduced a problem you only find out the hard way, picking up a blood blister in the process. When used as pliers (the obvious reason for buying the tool) the natural grip results in the fleshy part of the hand at the base of the index finger resting against the handles. Should whatever it is that is being gripped slip out of the jaws, the hand can get caught between the back of the knife blade and the back of either the saw or the file (depending on handedness) giving it a tweak you won't forget in a hurry. I found this out while trying to clear a problem with an ice-maker that had jammed. I gripped a chunk of ice with the pliers and pulled, the chunk shattered, the Wave gave me a hickey and I told the world about it for a few seconds. The fix? Wear gloves or be very careful how you grip the pliers when using the tool that way.
The moans I have are not worth deducting any stars in my opinion, but are worth a look when Leatherman decide to have the "lessons learned" discussion with the design team. The total usefulness of the Leatherman Wave has me jonesing for a Leatherman Crunch in the worst way.
Rating :
Great tool
Bought this because I lost my other one, which was the exact same thing. This is a quality product that simply does what you want it to do. It's been indispensable at work, and I got it on sale, so it really wasn't that expensive. Much cheaper than Walmart.
