Customer Review :
just what the doctor ordered!
i think these are my first sports shoes i ever bought online! i must say i never tried ASICS like ever. I have been the traditional brand i grew up on ADIDAS and Air Jordan's! But i noticed after a while of trying of all these and even some generic brands i picked up from Dubai, the ASICS felt like --- very much welcoming change from my routine! They feel snugly and fit the feet just amazingly and they don't feel crooked like so many of the mass stuff i have tried before! i have a very sensitive heel and i can tell during walks and runs these take a nice firm stand even on my crooked left heel side!
i will update this as the days and months go by! but anyone wanting comfort with shoes (especially those with high BMI ratings like me) these are the best shoes for the gym and everywhere sporty!
*****UPDATED****** Starting up you folks you should know that for me the gym shoes are a BIG BIG factor for actually going and working out! That is due to my semi-obese weight problem as of now. I have had running shoes like everyone else and have definitely felt a jolt of difference with the ASICS GEL-Kayano 15 (within 5 days of usage!)
The Look Frankly the looks were not as important to me as the function and form for which this brand claims. Overall it does look stylish and has a sort of a wow factor!
The Foot Shaping This element is crucial for me. In my earlier attempts to find the non-standard sizes and fits, it almost always resulted in having a left/right part of the shoe inadequately sized. Want proof how this affects you? Go stand on a WII Board and run "the stand in balance routine," you will see after a long time your overall posture is all wrong before you stand!
Anyways GEL-Kayano 15 were just perfectly snugged and i can tell you from the first day, my left foot has been dying to ache like before but i can feel the GEL pushing back on it on the Stair Master! Plus i felt the right foot also started to realign correctly with the left foot! It actual hurts now! This may definitely vary from person to person! But for me i can tell you the shaping and fit here were fan-tab-u-lious!
Comfort I now have to buy a bunch of new shoe comforters (Dr Shoals) for my day-to-day shoes to match up to the ASICS GEL-Kayano 15 They are super comfy!
Quality manufacturing i never owned an ASICS GEL-Kayano 15 so i all i can say is for now: BRAVO! will update this probably in a few months with heavy wear and tear usage
Conclusions If your on a binge of "i want to seriously workout and walk --etc." and previously felt aches and pains around your foot, ankles, and calfs then seriously give these shoes a chance (they are pricey) but i am glad i got them since they really amp up my workout routine!

Asics Gel-Kayano 15
These shoes are awesome! I was somewhat hesitant because of the price but I found them at Ross for $29.99!!!! Shop around and find a deal on them. I would've never paid $100+ for them.

I got a good price on what I consider the best shoes on the market. I am over 50 and running about 20 miles a week.

ASICS Men's GEL-Kayano 15 Running Shoe
Great shoes, great price! I live in Australia and these shoes are $295 here, on Amazon they were $80! The only downside, which was quite significant, if that for some reason Amazon don't ship shoes to Australia, so I had to mail them to a friend in the U.S and get them to forward it to me, which was a pain, but worth it.
I took the shoes out for their first run this morning and they are great. Good support in all the right areas, it was 32 degrees and my feet didnt feel hot at all. Highly recommended.

love it!
I purchased blk/blk and absolutely love it! I got 8W becasue I have wide feet but when I received it was bit too wide. I'm going to get regular instead of wide next time I purchase my second pair.

Keds women's champion sneaker
I purchased this tennis shoe for my 87 yr old mother as she wanted a pair like the ones Ked's made 25 years or more ago. The shoes arrived very fast in the mail to her, but the rubber sole much thicker, not like the ones originally made by Keds. Also, she is always a size 9.5 narrow, this is the size I ordered, but they were too short. If she kept them she would have had to have a size 10. Unfortunately, these shoes are made in China,so who knows what you are going to get. Why don't we have these shoes made in the USA where then the size would be correct?
Rating :
Fabulous!
I love Keds. I've been a fan for years. I really like that these are leather because they stay sooooooo much cleaner than the canvas ones. Great, light-weight shoes, easy to travel with. All around awesome!

Great Running Shoe
This is my third pair of the Saucony Progrid Triumph 6. I usually wear a size 8.5, but opted for the 9 in this case. Prior running shoe was Asics Gel Nimbus 9 and I love the Saucony more. Switched to Saucony after the Gel Nimbus 10 came out with a very narrow toe box. Very comfortable, flexible feel, plenty of toe box room. Very light. Decent stability in the heel of the shoe but not too much. I have medium arches and these work great for me. Would definitely recommend. Only reservation, one pair had a tongue that was too stiff and dug into my ankle. Solved this by trimming the edge of the tongue and was no longer a problem. Decent life span for a softer shoe.

Not the same shoe as a few years ago.
The shoe fit is the same, but they've skimped on the reflector strips on the shoe. The price is higher, but the quality of the shoe is not what it used to be. Every runner knows the importance of visibility. If Saucony wants to make a great running shoe, they'll need to put the reflective strips back on the shoe for our safety.

Saucony Triumph series great as a lightweight training shoe for a narrow, neutral foot
This is my second go at the Saucony Triumph 6 and I love it for a lightweight training shoe. It's perfect for those with neutral arches and a narrow foot, with it's semi-curved footbed and little posting (i.e. it allows your foot to flex out with each step, providing very little motion control.)
The outsole is grippy enough to withstand Vancouver's slippery side walks, with which I was initially concerned, so it's an ideal shoe regardless from which part of the country you hail.

Saucony
Love the Saucony sneakers. I use to have problems with my right knew swelling when I ran. I was going to give up the sport but decided to give it one more shot so 3 years ago I went to a sneaker store and the salesperson had me try the saucony which has a lip on the outer side. It first I thought they looked funny but they even out your foot. So I decided to try it and went to a 5k race that weekend and for the first time ever had no problems. They no longer sell that same sneaker but this model seems just as good. I highly recommend the Saucony sneakers!

Great shoes!
I previously owned these shoes and so didnt see any reason to switch to another brand/style and take a chance that they wouldnt be as comfortable. I love this shoe for its support, style and comfort. It was $20 less than what I paid last year so savings was great too.

Shock absorbent brow bringe. Innovative airflow brow bridge, hinged, lightweight nylong frame. Curved shield design for maximum vision. Distortion free, anti scratch/anti fog treated lenses.
Customer Review :
WARNING!! Don't use Super Saving Shipping!! Ripoff!!
On 2/8/2010, I ordered two pairs of these glasses in order to qualify for the "FREE" Super Saver Shipping offered by Amazon. When I placed the order, the item was listed as "IN STOCK". Now my listed shipping date isn't until 2/16/2010 and the actual arrival date isn't until 2/23/2010-3/1/2010.
This is unacceptable and unprofessional for a company like Amazon. It should not take 8 days for the warehouse to actually box and ship ANY item no matter what form of shipping was chosen.
I would have only bought one pair of glasses and paid for regular shipping if I would have known Amazon handled their shipping in this manner.
I guess I'm back to Ebay now!!

best for the prise
The breather holes helps a lot , did not get foggy even after playing for an hour.
Rating :
Simply OK - not great.
Fit is not great for me. Uncomfortable around the ears and nose and, if ever scratched, are worthless. I would like a harder surface and better smoothing of the main contact points.
Rating :
Comfortable!
I love these goggles! I had a huge issue with my old goggles fogging on me and these never do! They are comfortable to year and look good too!

My favorite
Play 3 days a week and this is the only glasses I will buy. They simply don't fog and feel great.

Love this - A real Back Saver
Love this hopper. A must have and a real back-saver. Solid design yet light even when full.

Saves your back!
This is a must have for those with a ball machine or anyone practicing. I like the dual position design and the ability to use the hopper in the standing position, however it is top heavy and can tip over easily.
Rating :
Works great
I am very happy with this purchase! Just set the basket on top of the ball and it squeezes though the bars and ends up in the basket. Simple design but very effective.

Ball Hopper
Great product at at great price. It holds enough balls to feed my tennis ball machine.
Rating :
Okay for casual use
First off, we bought two of these because of price, size, and look. They are cavernous and hold a lot of balls. For the occasional player that may use it a couple times a week, emptying and filling the hopper a couple times each use I am sure that this hopper would hold up.
Unfortunately we use these every day, and fill and empty the hoppers at least 20 time a day since my wife teaches lessons. Here are the major drawbacks:
1) The nuts come loose very easily and will rattle off and get lost regularly. This requires constant attention so as to assure that the nuts remain in place and tight. I finally bought some thread lock to prevent this, but it was still frustrating to have to purchase something else to make these hoppers functional.
2) The welds that hold the leg holders to the basket are very weak and WILL break. Quite frustrating that after 2 months of use one of these is unusable.
3) There are 2 clips per leg to keep the hopper from tipping over, or the legs slipping on the ground. These are nice, but because the clips are too close together for the legs it is only practical and convenient to use only one of them for each leg. Trying to force the legs into place is very inconvenient.
Overall I would not buy this product again. Nice, but for the amount of times we use it, it is not rugged enough.

Questions & Answers
Question : Do you play any other Tennis/racquet related sports?
Table tennis? Badminton? Squash? :D Just curious?or focused solely on Tennis?
Answer:
Well I have dabbled in squash but found it to throw my tennis strokes off. Racquetball didn't appeal to me. Badminton was too wristy as well and an acquired taste that I hadn't acquired. I did play table tennis/ ping pong and did enjoy it. In fact I would incorporate topspin from tennis on my shots which made for some fun spins. But my main focus has always been on tennis in the racquet sports category. It requires you to be committed to training and skill development if you want to excel to a competitive level which I did.

Question : Which high street sports shops can restring a badminton racquet?
Shops like JJB sports, hargreaves etc.
Answer:
you just need to find a stringer, or buy one, you can buy all the stuff like machine and strings online... or just search for squash and tennis shops on a website like http://www.yell.com i used to work in one and any stringer can do all racquet's

Question : Which racquet sport is most physically demanding?
Badminton, Tennis, Squash, Table Tennis (Big four)or some other racquet sport?please also answer why.It would be extremely helpful if you have experience playing all four of the sports i mentioned and not just one of them.
Answer:
It depends on what you are looking at in terms of physically demanding.Badminton requires more running than Tennis, contrary to what most people think:"The Wimbledon final lasted 198 minutes, the badminton final 76 minutes. The actual amount of time the ball or shuttlecock were in play were 18 minutes and 37 minutes respectively. Breaking it down further to the number of shots played (1 004 to 1 972) and assuming 22 feet traveled per shot per player we find that the tennis player covered about 2 miles, and the badminton player 4 miles. So the badminton player ran TWICE as far in under half the time. "But tennis is physically demanding in the upper body more than badminton. You're using your entire arm for every single shot, not to mention you're striking a heavier target with a heavier racket.Squash doesn't require too much physical activity as much as it requires a lot of strategy and skill in returning a shot.Table Tennis is also less physical than Tennis and Badminton. But I just am in awe at the good people playing it. The actual playing area is like the size of a badminton court, only the court itself is a small table. You see people running back like 10 feet from the table in preparation for a smash. It's short quick movements in a small area.I'd have to go with either Tennis or Badminton. Both are about the same in terms of physically demanding, just in different areas. Tennis has more strength than Badminton while Badminton has more endurance and running (our coach once had a friend who ran 10 miles every single day...yet after 11 points in badminton, he was really tired out). Also, Tennis is mostly played outdoors while Badminton is indoors...It just depends on who you are. I'm not strong at all, so Tennis is difficult for me, but probably not difficult for other people (in terms of strength).

Question : In racquet sports, what is the definition of the word let?
In racquet sports, what is the definition of the word let?
Answer:
It means that when a player serves in tennis, for example, if the ball touches the net and lands in the correct area of play in your opponents half, it is then called a let and the server is allowed to serve the ball again.

Answer:
Yep if you buy a racquet from that place and RIGHT then they will string it. Thats what happen to me. I think a string job is 15$.

Answer:

Question : What sports reigns superior among the racquet sports? and Why?
I can't think of specific guidelines at the moment, but I have seen tennis, badminton, table tennis, racquetball, and squash. In terms of complexity, tennis and badminton are at the top. In terms of intensity, I would think squash. In terms of hand-eye coordination and control, table tennis. But overall, I would choose badminton.
Answer:
I think tennis is superior because you can play of different types of court surfaces and play outdoors in various weather conditions. These factors make the sport more demanding.

Question : Do all racquets from holabird sports come with a racquet case?
I'm buying a Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex Racquet from holabirdsports.com, but I want to know if it will come with a case. Please answer, thank you.
Answer:
