Not much change
They are just like the old ones, but more expensive. I'll suggest sticking to 300,350,500, whatever is the cheapest.
Rating :
love them
got a badmitton set and these shuttles. best shuttles i have ever used. durable light and great to play with. still using the first one and cant believe its still in perfect condition. if i ever make it through them all i'll be back for more.
Rating :
true flight
the first real shuttlecocks we have purchased. We had the ones that came with the backyard set. These provide a true stable flight, unless of course there is wind. A little bit slower in speed than I expected compared to the cheap plastic variety.
Rating :
Good quality replacement for feathers, but not the best in the market yet !
Good quality shuttles, but tend to be a bit brittle after a good hitting. It should last you for atleast 10-15 games, if not more. It is CERTAINLY a good substitute for regular feather shuttle cocks - but not the best in the market yet !!! The shuttles tend to be more heavier than the regular Mavis 350 / 300 series, but are worth it's weight ;)
Rating :
Good durable Shuttle
This is a very good shuttle if you are looking for durability. The flight is very near to a feather shuttle, but it falls just a bit short because there is nothing like the weight distribution of a feather shuttle from which you get better control and feel.
I would recommend this shuttle for beginner to intermediate level players who are looking for recreation, as well as, good value for the money they spend.

Pro Performance Speedminton 3pk Night Speeders
Customer Review :
Great fun at night
I just used my night speeder for the first time over the 4th of July holiday. We had a great time playing with it in the front yard. I found it to have the same response as the regular birds that come with the speedminton set. We could see the speeder with a glowstick really well all across the yard, even with the neighbor's spotlight shining on us. Yes, you need to get the glowsticks separately, but these can be found online in bulk, or at some surplus stores or fishing shops. The birds work really well and are very fast and responsive. They seem to take abuse a little better than regular shuttlecocks, and the kids loved playing with them at night.
Rating :
Pretty cool
I don't know about you but I have gotten into some pretty intense games that have gone until no one could see anymore. Well these glow in the dark birdies have solved that problem. You can see them pretty well in the dark. And they are a little heavier than the normal birdies so they are also good to use on days when it is a little windy to play. I give them a thumbs up!
Rating :
no night performance
I love badminton - speedminton is not the same. First off these things FLY - no matter how easy you hit them they fly, so you need lots and lots of space. They might work great at the park or something but I haven't tried playing in a wide open space. Second is the "Night Speeders",they don't work. There is barely enough light to do anything with these things. The only good things about them is there is enough light to see them to pick them up once there on the ground. Great idea but it doesn't work. Save your money and play during the day.
Rating :
Night Speeders DO NOT Include Night Sticks
I purchased these and paid extra to have them overnighted for my daughters summer party. It's such a cool idea but it wasn't so cool when we received them they didn't have the lighting mechanism, so needless to say night badminton didn't occur.
I read very closely and carefully and even consulted with an amazon.com rep about the contents, they even said that it appears they come with it, so another order later...no light sticks.
I'm fairly new to Amazon and still learning all there is to offer, I wish I would have read the reviews on this item, had I done so I wouldn't have wasted my time and money ordering this, sounds like the glow sticks aren't even worth purchasing after all.
I think Amazon.com needs to edit the description of this item and make it clear that the NIGHT STICKS ARE NOT INCLUDED.
Hope this helps.

Unique Pete Sampras Ballport Holds 80 Balls
Price : $28.99 $24.86
Features
: - Holds 80 Balls
- Endorsed by Pete Sampras

Customer Rating : |

Editorial Review :
Ballport 80-Ball Basket is made of tough polypropylene. No wires to rust, welding to break or paint to peel. Handles rotate and lock up or down for easy pickup and dispensing. Ships in a small, 2 wide by 25 high box. Assembly is easy with panels locking into place and legs easily attached with provided screws. Rolling bars on the bottom help ease balls into the basket and hold hold them in. Sliding bars on the top slide open to make dispensing easy, and lock closed to hold balls during transport and storage. Handles lock into an upright position for ball collection, and in a downward position for ball dispensing with a patented locking feature.
Customer Review :
Works great, makes quick work of ball pickup
Mine arrived last week. The assembly took about 5 minutes (the only nit I have is that the assembly instructions were a bit wimpy, they could have added a few more diagrams, but it was still pretty easy). I took the ballport out to the court with about 30 tennis balls and was happy having something to hold a bunch of balls for me at close to waist level. When I had finished my round of hitting, the ballport made picking the balls up a cinch. The roller bars on the bottom are really helpful in "sucking up" tennis balls. There are two rods on the top that you can slide into the center which keeps balls from spilling out if you want to put the hopper and balls into your car or otherwise transport it, very handy. I would definitely recommend this.
Rating :
great to carry in the car
Easy to put together and great to carry in the car, ready to go for a game any time.

Ideal ball retriever
My wife and I practice often with about 25 balls carried in two Slinghopper drill bags. We use a Sampras Ballport to store balls for Slinghopper refills and for picking up our 30/40 practice balls when our balls are used up. The Sampras Ballport is durable plastic, and is easily assembled. During use, the metal legs reverse up to become carry handles. You simply walk around to push the Ballport down on a ball to pick it up. There are two bars on the bottom of the Ballport which move in slots so when you push down the bars move apart and the ball pops up into the Ballport, thus avoiding bending over to pick up balls. When all the balls are picked up the legs again reverse to become legs. The change is easy with the legs held in detents when used as either a carry handle or as legs. We place the Ballport next to the fence, load up our drill bags and use the Ballport for storage of extra balls. When our practice/play session is done the Ballport is a handy way to carry the balls to the car and store the balls at home.
Rating :
Great ball hopper.
It is lightweight and easy to put together. My favorite part is the there are 2 bars that slide over the opening so I can lay it down sideways in the trunk of my car when I am driving to and from the tennis court.
Rating :
Best Hopper I've used: Stable, Durable, and highly functional
This Unique Pete Sampras Ballport is the best tennis ball hopper I've had the chance to use. I've used the Black Wilson 75 and Gamma Hopper and while they seem durable because of their metal construction, they are prone to tipping over, lids coming updone, and metal bases, handles, and baskets can become warped.
The Unique Ballport is made up of a hard plastic (similar, tough material found on a plastic bicycle pedal). The plastic will withstand a good amount of damage and use. I don't foresee it breaking or cracking from the daily wear and tear.
Putting the hopper together is easy by screwing in ten or so screws at the corners and legs sides. The legs will not come apart since they are secured by screws directly into the basket. This means you won't have to fiddle around with the legs falling off (like in the Wilson and Gamma hoppers). In addition, the leg locks that keep the basket upright or in the carry position are well designed so that the hopper is stable and secure in both positions. It keeps transporting easy, and provides peace of mind when setting it up for usage.
In addition, the spinning sticks at the bottom allows tennis balls to be easily "hopped" or sucked into the basket. I found it much easier to pick up balls with the Ballport than with any other hopper. Since the base sticks spin, the fuzz on the balls are not torn up, the balls glide right through the basket, and most importantly the sticks retain their shape keeping balls in the basket. Metal hoppers can become mailable and as a result the wires shift and become wider over time.
Lastly, the top sliding locking sticks move easily and will keep the balls in the basket during transport. Compared to wired hoppers, this innovation works phenomenally well and I have no fear of any balls spilling in the trunk of the car. I've used Wilson and Gamma hoppers in the past, and would occasionally have the lid latch come undone and 70+ balls rolling around the back of the trunk.
PROS: * Constructed of Highly Durable Plastic that will last with daily usage * Easy to pickup tennis balls * Legs will not come undone if knocked down or during transport * Leg locks keep the basket stable during carry and transport positions * Top cover sliding locking sticks is very reliable and will not become undone * Rectangular shape allows for easy ball pick along fences. * Holds stated 75-80 balls.
CONS: * Slightly heavier than wired hoppers (full hopper probably weights around 10 lbs) * Seems short in height at about 3 feet high * Lid locking sticks need a little push to slide into the lock and open position (not as smooth as I would like it to be)
Overall I would highly recommend purchasing the Unique Ballport over standard wired hoppers. The secure legs (transporting and carrying) and secure "lid" are the highlights of this product and these feature sets it apart from the rest. I only wish it was a little lighter and taller.

Excellent racket
If you want to play tennis at a competitive level, but not professional, then I found this to be a great racket. The grip is very durable and comfortable and the frame is solid. The resiliancy of the strings is anything you want as you can easily switch out the strings with this racket.
Rating :
Great racquet for the price
This racquet is great for someone like me, who is athletic, but beginning tennis. It it responsive so I can try so shots as I improve, but it has good power behind it when I miss hit.

Great Badminton Set
This is a great badminton set. My 10 year old plays with the junior racket. The net was easy to set up, but is somewhat fragile- the net ripped when I was straightening the poles one day- just be careful with it.
Rating :
great set
I am very well pleased at the quality of the items in this set. The racquets are very nice and the 2 short handle racquets are perfect for my 6 and 7 year old girls. We have had so much fun with it when camping and in our yard. The only negative about this product are the plastic stakes. I used railroad tie nails that were purchased at a home improvement store because the plastic ones wouldn't go into our Pennsylvania clay soil. Other than that, don't waste your money on a cheaper set that will fall apart. No need to buy anything more expensive either, unless vanity is your thing.

Salaun Badminton Advanced Family Game Kit
While looking for a Badmitten set for my grandchildren I found the price range to be quite wide. The reviews for the cheaper ones were mostly bad, but I did'nt want to spend $99. I decided to go for a mid-price one and found one with all good reviews. It turned out to be perfect. The set went up easily and seems to be holding up well. The rackets went through a rough week-end with my grandkids and we had no problems with any part of the set. At this point I recommend this game for anyone looking for their monies worth.
Rating :
Great bidminton set for all beginners.
The set came with everything I needed. Aside from the fact that the vinyl bag is tearing from the handles and the net being flimsy and unreliable. However, I'm able to work with everything the set came with quite well. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to begin playing badminton with a full set of racquets withbirdies and a net with boundaries.

Questions & Answers
Question : What Effects Does Sports Massage Have On Tennis Elbow?
It is also known as shooters elbow or archers elbow. the outer part of the elbow becomes sore and tender. It is commonly associated with playing tennis and other racquet sports, though the injury can happen to almost anybody. it is also known as lateral epicondylitis (inflammation of the outside elbow bone) other than relef of pain in the short term, what other effects are associated?Thankyou to all who reply :D
Answer:
Speaking for myself, massage had very little beneficial effect for more than an hour or two. It was just a waste of time and money for me.I had it quite serious a couple of years ago. I couldn't even use the little screw drivers we use all day without a lot of pain , and many adjustments to metal frames with our small tools became almost impossible to do.I started wearing a wide elastic sports support strap on the forearm which helped a lot to get through the day , but eventually it wasn't enough either, so I ended up getting a cortisone shot right in the elbow joint. Talk about pain for a few hours after !But after about 2 weeks, the original joint pain stopped and I have been free of it for over 2 years now.I had developed it from repetitive strain after doing the same strenuous movements with the same tools for over 35 years. I know many in this business end up with the same problem in the elbow.

Question : Do i replace the tennis racquet grip part myself? or do i have the sports store do it for me?
Hello, the grip part of my tennis racquet has worn out and i need to replace it. my question is....do i buy a grip and replace it myself or am i supposed to have the store do it for me?This is my first time replacing it so i dont know.....if im doing it myself, do i take the old grip off first? because it seems it would be very hard to do so.I know that for the racquet to be restrung the store needs to do it.......thanks for your answers!
Answer:
You can do it but first remove the old grip.. You will most likely have some extra grip left at the end but all you have to do is cut it. The shop will only do it if you ask them when you buy the new grip AND have your racquet restrung. The old grip (and most new grips) have a very sticky backing. Sometimes you will have to remove the bottom cap (if it is stapled in). Just pull it off as it unwinds. If it tears or doesn't come off clean then you may have to use a tool (such as a spatula or something flat) to remove the rest. They also sell overgrips. These are thinner grips without the cushioning that full grips have and they just wrap over the old grip. They don't usually last as long but they are cheaper and you get more in a roll, and they don't have adhesive backings. You have to wrap it tight. I've used them before and they are ok for an emergency quick fix.

Question : Do all racquets from holabird sports come with a racquet case?
I'm buying a Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex Racquet from holabirdsports.com, but I want to know if it will come with a case. Please answer, thank you.
Answer:
The racquets usually come with a case. If not, it should mention it before you check out or in the description of the merchandise. I have bought a number of tennis racquets from them and all came with a racquet cover.

Question : Which one of these racquet sports most resemble tennis?
If you put the #1 table tennis player, the #1 racquetball player, the #1 squash player, the #1 badmington player on the tennis court and put a tennis racquet in their hand and make them play tennis. Which one will win?
Answer:
Racquetball would win. The reason being, it is the one that most resembles the tennis ball bounce and the racket head is the closest in size. Also, its the one where the player needs to cover more area and swing on the move much like tennis.Squash player would not be as good because tennis balls bounce higher than squash balls and you need to accommodate the the larger bounce arch. Also the tennis ball is much heavier so a large adjustment would be needed to accommodate the longer swings.Badminton player would have no chance. The speed would kill him as well as the ball and racket being so much heavier for tennis.Table tennis player would also not stand a chance. The ball and racket dynamics are way to different.

Question : What sports reigns superior among the racquet sports? and Why?
I can't think of specific guidelines at the moment, but I have seen tennis, badminton, table tennis, racquetball, and squash. In terms of complexity, tennis and badminton are at the top. In terms of intensity, I would think squash. In terms of hand-eye coordination and control, table tennis. But overall, I would choose badminton.
Answer:
I think tennis is superior because you can play of different types of court surfaces and play outdoors in various weather conditions. These factors make the sport more demanding.

Question : How long will my tennis racquet and bag take to get to my house from Millet Sports?
Im curious plese help.
Answer:
It'll take them quite a while to get there on their own. I suggest providing some form of motorized transport to get them there quicker.Seriously though, shipping from anywhere often takes about a week or so. Though some sites will have guaranteed 3-day shipping on some stuff. Just look around through the site for shipping information. And you can always pay lots of extra money to get it there sooner.
