Staying on Track
I love everything about this pedometer. It was easy to program and get started. I like that it tracks your steps, aerobic steps, calories burned, miles walked, etc. It's ability to reset itself every night at midnight is also very handy. A great product for a very reasonable price here on Amazon. It is keeping me on track with my daily workouts and just to wear all day to track steps, etc. Love it!!!!

Best Pedometer Yet!
I purchased this pedometer about a month ago. Prior to this purchase I have owned at least 4 other brand name pedometers that never performed as promised. When I received the Ormon, I calibrated it ( very easy to do) using the same information as my other pedometers and went out to measure my current walking route. I was amazed at how accurate and consistant the readings were. It was within 30 paces of the actual distance. My other pedometers measured up to several hundred paces +/- of the correct distance and never the same distance twice. I have recommended this to other friends and wear it from the time I get going in the morning to the time I go to bed. It's a great way to monitor your 10,000 steps a day and I am always trying to beat the previous days reading. The Omron HJ-112 is definately a keeper!

out of sight pedometer
This pedometer is easy to use, very accurate, and it can sit in your waist pocket. It has many functions and its easy to use. I highly recommend it. The price is right too.

Great device Very Very Very poor belt clip
It amazes me how a company could make such a wonderfully accurate and feature rich device and then give it a almost nonexistent belt clip. The clip is so flimsy it comes off at the slightest touch. This is on a device that is used to measure exercise levels and distances. When carried inside of a pocket the device was not nearly as accurate and needs to be carried in there with a certain orientation. If not for the belt clip I would have given this a 5 star rating.

Its GREAT
I bought this pedometer about 18 months ago. I've been using it regularly and have had no problems. Battery life is about 6 months or so and the batteries are easy to get. The nicest feature (to me) is that it doesn't make noise -- the mechanical pedometers click with each step, this is completely silent. It is pretty accurate -- if you wear your pants lower than the natural waist, it might miss a few steps -- also if you walk very smoothly, it will miss steps. Yes, it does work when I stick in in a pocket in my purse.

Works great
The product is exactly as advertised. I especially like that I'm encouraged to walk more by tracking my progress with the included software. The ease of use provided by the non-restrictive mounting requirements is also a plus (e.g., attach it to a backpack). Using the safety strap is essential, as the unit has fallen off my waist band several times. The only negative comment is that it is a bit bulky, but this is very tolerable.

Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management Software
Great Product. I where it every day, helps me track my activity for the day. The only thing I don't like is that it falls off my waistband on my pants, pretty easy and doesn't seem to be accurate if the item is not vertical i.e. sideways in a pocket. I like the software, but haven't played around with it much.

Great item!
Easy to use, and great motivator to walk more and even eat better. Everytime I look at how many steps I've taken, I'm reminded of my fitness goals. I haven't uploaded the info into the computer yet, but am looking forward to that feature.

Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer
My wife and I each got one of the Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometers, and have been very impressed at how easy they were to set up, and how accurate they have been. We've used several pedometers before, but have never had as accurate as the Omron HJ-720ITC. It is also very helpful to be able to download the records to see how we are progressing. If you are considering purchase of the Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer, I highly recommend it.

Not A Bad Pedometer, But It Has A Few Quirks
I've been using this pedometer for a few weeks now and have to say that all-in-all it is a pretty good model.
Basically, after set-up, you carry it in your pocket (or wear it on your belt) and it tracks your steps and your aerobic steps by the time you take them. You can then off-load that data into a program that will draw graphs that will compare the steps taken against the targets you set.
The good stuff: The pedometer is pretty easy to set-up, the interface on the computer is good looking and largely self-explanatory. It comes with a wrist strap and a clip so that it can be worn like a pocket watch or strapped into your briefcase or purse. It will apparently even count steps when it is being carried in one of those locations. (Though I have not tried this.)
The bad stuff: The clock on it is not the best. Mine gains about three minutes a week. The unit's face must be within 30-degrees of vertical while being carried or it will not register steps. It does not matter how the unit is oriented as long as the face is nearly vertical... If you think of it like a coin, if the coin is standing on its edge, it works, if it is laying on its face or its back it doesn't. This is pretty easy as long as your pockets are fairly tight... but as I tend to wear loose clothing when I work out, I noticed that the thing was not registering the time I spent on the treadmill. I went back and read the instructions and discovered this. Clipping the thing to my belt during the workouts has fixed this issue.
Overall, I would recommend this. There are a couple quirks that bother me as a software designer, but the average person would probably never notice them. For example. If you leave the PC program running and the pedometer hooked-up to the PC, the system will put your steps on the wrong date... (This happened to me once!) I set-up to transfer my steps on Friday night and then the phone rang. I found the thing still connected the next morning, finished the offload and then noticed that Saturday was already populated with the steps I had taken the day before.
Oh well! Too bad the only way to correct data errors is to uninstall the software and start over!
But as I have said all-in-all, this is a pretty good pedometer and I would recommend it to a friend.

Omron Heart Rate Monitor
The unit works just fine. But silly me, when I read that it had a high/low alarm I thought the alarm was audible. Nope, a little heart flashes on the watch which is nice if you can keep looking at the watch. Omron didn't lie, but I think 'indicator' would have been a better description.

Don't Waste Your Time
I bought this watch as a replacement for one being repaired it (different brand) didn't last a month. The screen froze up at 12:55 and could not change mode. It was a waste of time.
Rating :
Works exactly as advertised - and price is right!
Omron makes all sorts of measuring devices including ones for medical application, so I figured they ought to be able to make a decent HRM. This one is decent and probably has all the functionality that most folks will ever need. Comes with the chest belt, transmitter, wrist receiver, handlebar adapter, and a nylon fabric case. The wrist receiver has modes for:
1) 24 h time with month, date, day. 2) 24 h alarm. 3) heart rate with lower and upper limit alarms. 4) stopwatch in .01 s.
It's not the most stylish I've seen, e.g., part lines on the case, but it does have a traditional wristband assembly so that you can change the wristband if it breaks or offends. Chest belt is comfortable and essentially undetectable during periods of duress. Transmit/receive range is effective to at least full arm's length or any position on the bike with receiver on the bar - the adapter fits a 1.25" section easily and should accommodate most any round section bar from about 7/8" to 1.5". And, the transmitter works great with the RealAxiom trainer.

great product
I've never had a heart rate monitor before so I can't compare it to other brands, but this one is great. It's easy to use and seems quite accruate. My husband and I each got one as we are both involved in a daily exercise program, this monitor has been invaluable in helping us stay in the zone we are to be exercising in.
Rating :
Good value
Order process was easy, delivery was prompt, Heart rate monitor does what is claimed. I use the monitor to gauge my pace on a treadmill to improve endurance and physical ability without overdoing the exercise for my age.

Safety Leash for Pedometer (1) Unit. Helps Save Pedometers From Loss

Editorial Review :
Although your pedometer has a belt clip, add a pedometer leash for extra insurance that your pedometer does not hit the ground if it somehow falls off your waistband. The leash attaches to your pedometer at one end, and a metal clip to your waistband ensuring that you never lose your pedometer.

It Delivers!!!
5 starsss up ..way up!!!!....for the price of this little piece of plasic...It delivers....it caluculates calories burned, miles walked, steps taken and also neat little feature...aeorobic steps...those are continual steps for more than 10 minutes....It resets...(another feature that saves time for me fiddling)...Great price Great product.

Waste of money
The Safety leash for Pedometer was a total waste of money. The item was poorly constructed with poor quality materials. I could have made it in my basement and done a better job at a fraction of the cost. In addition, the pedometer came with a Safety Leash included. I would send it back but the shipping cost is greater that the purchase price of this piece of elastic with a clip on one end. DON'T BUY, DON'T, DONT'T BUY.

Great for Fitbit
I have had this leash for about 2 weeks and it has saved my Fitbit at least 6 times. It is inexpensive insurance to prevent your Fitbit from unknowingly falling off. The plastic clip allows the Fitbit to be removed from the tether for use in the wristband and easily reattached in the morning. Highly recommended.

LASTED 3 HOURS BEFORE IT BROKE
I bought this strap to reinforce the one on my new pedometer. It has a metal clasp that attaches to your waistband. The first time I used it, the strap broke away from the metal clasp and I found the pedometer with the strap in my pocket and the clasp alone attached to my waistband. Luckily the pedometer was in my pocket. I'm still using the strap after tying it with several knots to the clasp. However, if my pedometer had not been a pocket model, it would have been lost on the first day. I would not recommend this strap to anyone.

Safety Leash Prevents Loss
I bought this little leash from Amazon for a pedometer that I also bought for my wife. I thought that the leash plus separate shipping was a bit pricey for what amounts to a piece of string to tie the pedometer to oneself to prevent loss. However, I had the money and it was a Christmas present that I wanted to arrive fully equipped and nice looking. The leash is better than expected and has subsequently actually prevented the dislodging of the pedometer on two occasions. I recommend it.

Not so good for a busy mother
I bought this because I want to get serious about being more active and I was tired of cheap pedometers. I am a busy homeschooling mom to four kids and I am on the go all day long. I know from using pedometers in the past that I easily met my 10,000 step a day goal, and I wanted to increase that.
This pedometer has fun bells and whistles like keeping track of 7 days and calculating how many calories you've burned, but it does not work at all for me. For one thing, it doesn't start counting until you've been walking for 4 seconds. I tend to head one way, stop to help a child, head back, stop to stir something and then dash in another direction. The pedometer logs almost NO MOVEMENT at all during my typical day, even when I don't seem to stop moving. I tried pacing in my kitchen to see what it would do, but I made it to the end of the kitchen in less than 4 seconds every time and so it never started counting.
For another thing, it doesn't register regular steps at all for me, or walking in place. I have even marched in front of the full length mirror and watched it. Even after 4 long seconds and deliberate stomping, it didn't register anything. Sometimes it'll finally catch up and flash a whole bunch of numbers once it finally decides I'm moving in a way it's going to register, but it's still almost nothing compared to how much I do move.
Because of this, it shows that I do almost no walking and it shows I've burned something like 60 calories all day. For two days in a row, I watched evening TV by marching in place for the full hour and it showed about 20 steps. Talk about unmotivating! It makes me feel depressed and like not continuing at all. One reason I loved pedometers in the past was because it was such a good feeling to see the steps build up. This just makes me feel like what's the point.
If I didn't have to pay return shipping, I'd just return it for my money back. It's a nifty gadget but for my purposes it doesn't work at all.

Love the pedometer...hate the clip!
I loved this pedometer, it's simple and very accurate. However, after buying two of them, one fell off and was lost, the other fell off and was broken, I have switched to another omron that can be better attached. The one I purchased and have now, can track more "stuff" that I don't need but it has a better clip and it comes with a safety leash. The pedometer has come off, but because of the leash, it has not fallen to the ground. Hopefully I'll have this one for a while.

Pedometer yes, clip no.
I was so excited to finally find an efficient, easy to use pedometer! I appreciated how it tracked for 7 days, was completely quiet, no clicking, and even kept track of my steps when I was using machines for other aerobic activity, which it is not guaranteed to do. But then I got home one day and it had fallen off of my belt! I was so upset it was gone. I definitely want to buy another one to replace it, but I will have to buy a safety clip to go along with it I guess. So I took a star away for the clip that didn't come through for me. But the pedometer part gets an excellent review.

purchase the Omron HJ-112 instead
Do not waste your money on the pocket ped. I LOVE my HJ-112, but thought I had lost it. I drive a school bus, so I have excess movement that is not a "step" the HJ-112 does not count my driving as steps. But, I thought it was gone forever. So, I liked the design of the hip pedometer, smaller, clip attached to the unit, and Omron, it had to be great, right? WRONG. It counted EVERY movement, and then I think some I didn't even take. How do I know. I found my HJ-112 and did a little comparison study one day. Sure enough, the hip ped had DOUBLE the amount of steps on it. (Now sure, I would love to say I walked all those steps, but, I can only deceive my mind, my body would show the truth.)I called Omron, and unfortunately, the gal tried to tell me that it was because of my stride distance...ok, I hated to have to explain how the product actually works and that that would only effect my distance walked, not the actual steps walked....phew...but I digress.
LOVE the HJ-112 and wear it everyday, I now have it attached to loop so that I don't loose it out of my pocket. Hope that helps. Smiles to All.
