A definite recommend

Found the product to do exactly what it was supposed to. Installation was a breeze - took a little over 10 minutes. A suggestion, before you fix the components permanently, do a dry run and identify the final positions of the components. Once you have the positions pretty much defined then attach them permanently. A little tweaking might be needed but I found that a gap of 2mm or so is fine. Have been using it for over a month and have had no problems. The display is accurate and works well and I haven't had to make any adjustments since installation. This is a great product for the price.

Amazing multi function bike computer!

It took a while to figure out the wheel factor measurement for my 700x35C tires (I highly recommend the guides written in the reviews). But once I got everything loaded I've found this to be a great little gadget!

Junk Quick Release

I had the Schwinn 12-Function for some time and knew I had to constantly check the computer was tight in the quick release...But, I wanted the 17-Function with calorie counter. First time out with new 17-Function it made half the trip and fell off somewhere on ride back home in the dark even though I checked it several times. Not worth the money! These Schwinn Computers are good and I'd give it 5 stars, but the quick release is total junk!!! I was sick of having to constantly check the old one, but thought maybe I had a bad one first time. New one seemed tighter, but evidently after a few bumps it was gone. Money down the drain after only being on the bike for an hour at most. I tossed the 12-Function in the trash too! I'm sick of the cheap plastic junk most things seem to be anymore! Bought a more expensive Sunlite and the quick release is sound! Don't like the computer as well, but I'll get use to it. If they'd fix the quick release problem I'd be willing to get a Schwinn again.

Better than I thought it would be!

I was expecting a good speedo because of the brand name, and I was'nt let down! This thing is GREAT! I had read a few reviews, where the writer says this thing is crap, since it can't take bumps too well. DON'T BELIEVE IT! I PURPOSELY went down rough roads, went through potholes, (not TOO big, of course) uneven sidewalks, even a brick road! (yes, we still have one of those-I thought they were all gone) to test this thing, and it stayed on through ALL that, as well as gave a reading the whole time! Since it also has a backlite (which is something my last few speedometers did'nt have) I was VERY pleasantly surprised by this thing! ESPECIALLY since I live in an urban neighborhood 1 mile south of the shore of Lake Erie! I would DEFINETLY recommend this to everyone!

My First Bike Computer

The Schwinn 17-Function Bike Computer is easy to install and use. At first it took me a while to figure out the functions, but after reviewing the manual, it's become second nature. I've had this speedometer for almost a year now and use it daily on my commute to work. I haven't had to replace the battery yet and it works perfectly. I am very happy with the this purchase. Great deal!

Handy pedometer

I wear this pedometer every day from morning to bed time. Very sturdy clip. It stays clipped to my belt or shorts or pants and does not fall off. It is very comfortable to wear, I hardly know it is attached. Based on my daily exercise and activity I find it accurate regarding total steps and distance walked.

Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer

I bought this pedometer for my husband who had a heart attack in January, and was told to take mild exercise. He was going for walks every day, varying his route and taking a guess at how far he had actually walked. I bought this for him as a surprise gift and it works very well. He likes the way he can see how far he has walked (measured in miles), and this gives him an incentive to keep doing just a little bit more every day.

This little gizmo also tells you calories burned, how many steps you have taken and a few other things. It also resets itself at midnight so that it is ready to receive fresh data for the next day. It is quite stylish and not at all clunky. The face displays large numbers, which is also useful. My husband just attaches it to his belt, and off he goes! It has never fallen off or gotten in his way.

He likes it very much and is pleased with the product.

Great product!

Bought this pedometer for our 6 week Italy adventure and I love it. It was fun to track the miles we walked each day as we explored the sights. So easy to use, just clip it to your waistband. I'll continue using it when we get home as it will encourage me to keep walking and racking up those steps!

Easy to use

Totally met and exceeded my expectations. It has different modes which I use: steps, moderate steps, calories, distance. It clips on my side and stays all day. It's accurate and makes me feel good when I look through the seven day history to see how well I've acheived my 10,000 steps for the day.

Really helps keep you motivated to move

A group of us at work are walking the U.S. We left atl and made it to Miami already. I like that the pedometer shows total steps as well as the portion that is moderate. It helps me make sure I am getting 30 min per day.

DECEIVING - DOES NOT WORK WITH 310XT

I was looking for a quick release kit for my Forerunner 310xt... Amazon recommended this one when I looked up the watch. Not sure why as it does not fit. So a wasted week and costs to have had it shipped to me. If you have the version it works for, looks great :) I found the one for the 310xt and actually I think looks less "quick" (similar annoying locking wristband instead of the easy velcro that this version has)

Works OK, but not on rough roads

I got the quick release kit several months ago, and have been using it with no problems until today. I found out that even if the GPS is securely attached to the mounting bracket, it can come loose on rough roads. I hit a bump on my ride today, and my $200 GPS went sailing. I checked before I left to ensure that the unit was securely fastened in the bracket, and it was. Luckily I found my GPS and it survived, but others may not be so lucky. That's a lot of money to trust to a bracket that's not 100% secure. Keep on the bike paths or smooth roads, and you may be alright, but I no longer trust my kit and have removed it from my bike.

Forerunner Quick Release Kit

I purchased this kit to allow me to transfer my garmin from run to bike during Triathlon training and race. It works great much easier that the runner band that comes on the watch by default. Easy to snap in and out. I will say be careful with it, I had my watch on my camelpack strap and it got caught when removing the camelpack and I broke one of the pins about an hour before my first Tri, but it did come with spare pins, so was able to correct the issue and worked great for the race.

Not for Extreme Sports

I love my Garmin 305. Works great. I bought this kit b/c I run and mountain bike a lot and this kit makes transitions easy between wrist and bike.

Worked so good that I decided to strap it on to my wrist while I was at the motocross track. Not a good idea. One lap and it had popped out of the quick release wrist strap. Same thing with bike mount kit.

So, the lesson is it works great if you aren't going to be in a situation where it is really going to get thrown around a lot. I would not trust this kit for my mountain bike in extreme situations where it is going to get rough (i.e. think Porcupine Rim Trail out at Moab). Other than that it works great!

Garmin

Good product, just have to be careful if you are riding on a somewhat of a bumpy road, the quick release actually came loose and fell off my bike. I had to go back to get it, good thing I heard it fall.
