Editorial Review :
Neoprene waist trimmer with fully adjustable velcro closure compresses and supports while retaining therapeutic heat, fits up to 50" waist
Customer Review :
Great product
I had a similar waist trimmer years ago which I used to improve my posture and assisted weight lose during my workout at gym. I was hesitant about purchasing this product as I was concerned about the quality. I was surprise that the quality was quite good and width of the belt adequate. I like that you have the extra length so you can cut the waist band to best fit you.

Really helped define my abs
I put this on when i am doing my abdominal and upper body workouts and i can definitely feel the increase in heat in that area. been using this for about a week and after a good 40 minute workout i take it off and i can see my abs REALLY well. im guessing the extra heat down there just melts the fat away. i definitely recommend this product =].

Great product
I have a 44 inch waist. This product fit fine. This is one of the best waist products of its kind. I have tried a number of 'cheap' products from the inexpensive stores and they rip quickly this is much better.

Great
really does a great job with coverage. it makes you sweat a lot more with it then with out. i recommend it.
Rating :
Great support!
It's adjustable to just about any size, stays in place, works the way its supposed to.
I wear it all day at work and I definitely sweat under it, which is the point... right?!
No complaints at all.

Editorial Review :
From heat to toe, BodyGlide arrests friction and creates a smooth, non-oily protection barrier. It helps prevent blisters, chafing, dry skin, saddles ores, cracked skin and rash. Use it everywhere - for hands, feet, upper body, inner thighs, under arms, shoulders and chest (nipples).
Customer Review :
It really works
It does exactly what it says. I ran 18 straight miles and never got any redness, swelling, or burning between my legs, as opposed to when I used to run without using an anti-chafing product. It made the run that much more comfortable.

Great item!
Used this product at Disney world every day I was there (10!!) and it worked great!!!

Body Glide from Amazon
My daughter has narrow feet and they blister easily. She swears by this product. My wife tried them and she likes it also.
Maybe I need to buy stock in this company (shades of Peter Lynch)
Rating :
Indispensable
BodyGlide is indispensable for any long run. I love it. Gone are the days where I suffer chafing and painful skin irritation after a long run. It's great for any part of the body. Highly recommended.
Rating :
RUNNERS - Don't blister or chafe - GLIDE!
As a marathon runner this stuff is a must-have. Anywhere you have skin on skin or clothing on skin contact is susceptible to chafing - typically areas under your underarms, upper inner thigh, inner bicep, etc. For me I can't go more than about 6 miles in loose running shorts before the fabric causes chafing on my thighs.
I don't use this when running in compression shorts or tights, of course.
Vaseline is a cheap fix but it stains and doesn't last very long. Aquaphor lasts a little longer. This stuff has a waxy component that makes it stick around. DON'T USE TOO MUCH! You don't need as much as you might think, if you use too much you will stain your clothes (looks like an oil stain) and it's not cheap.
I also use it in the appropriate places when I do long distance cycling. Also good for your feet and hands to prevent blisters.
Plus: Lasts all day Handy applicator Less less than alternatives
Minus: Pricey Faint smell (not a bad smell, but noticable) Some minor staining if you use too much

Designed to improve patellar tracking and elevation, the Mueller® jumper's knee strap applies mild pressure on the tendon below the kneecap. The tubular insert provides uniform pressure and helps provide pain relief from Chondromalacia (irritated kneecap), Patellar Tendonitis, and Osgood-Schlatter's Disease.
Customer Review :
knee strap
I ordered this for my husband who has bad knees because he felt like he needed some pressure on the knee to help him when climbing ladders while working, it seems to help and we are happy with it.
Rating :
Definitely Works
I worked a temporary job helping deliver packages around the holidays. Stepping in and out of the truck 500+ times a day left me unable to bend my knee without pain and sleeping became really difficult if I didn't keep my legs completely straight. I was pretty bummed out about it, mainly because I've never had any chronic pain before. After about a month I read the reviews here and ordered the jumper's strap. It felt a little weird at first, but 3 weeks later the difference is like night and day. I'm slowly running further and further on the treadmill and I can climb stairs again with no pain. I highly recommend this...it's cheap and simple and it really seems to work.

Relieves you from pain
My friends who is a sports person had been suffering from pain on the knee and on doctors advice he was wearing knee strap from a local company. The pain never seemed to cease. I located one on Amazon from Mueller and presented it to him. Now he is very happy and it relieves him from pain and I could see him everyday coming back from the ground with a smile.

The benefits are clear: faster synaptic response (brain function), enhanced muscle response (in both fast and slow twitch tissues), increased stamina (better oxygen uptake and recovery), more flexibility (faster recovery) and vastly improved gravitational balance.Â
Customer Review :
Good but Does Not Last
I bought a Power Balance wrist band in October, 2009 after doing their test on strength and balance, which was very impressive. I am usually pretty skeptical of these things but this really seemed to help with my running. Big problem is that it has fallen apart after 4 months of limited use (maybe once or twice a week). Company warranty is 60 days. Wow!!
Rating :
Really works
We tested this thing and you know it works. It really does balance you. Buy it.

Works
A friend recommended and said if it didn't work they would pay for it. I have arthritis and I have no idea how or why, but this little thing make a difference. My body just feels better (yes, I still have arthritis).
Rating :
Does it actually work?
I have owned my wristband for three months now and I honestly don't know if it works or not.
Does the hologram have magical, mystical powers? Don't know....... Is my balance beter? Couldn't say........... Is it all in my head? Possibly.......... Is it pretty? Sure is.......
What I know for certain is that, whenever I wear the wristband, I feel much, much better.
Works for me!
Rating :
Skeptical but not anymore
Great purchase for me. Taking grief from my wife and several friends, but I believe it has helped tremendously. I noticed better balance and increased strength in the gym while wearing the band. I would spend the money again.

Questions & Answers
Question : What is a suggested route to become a sports medicine physician?
I am going into grade 11 and really want to become a sports medicine physician. I would like to get a job with a professional sports team. How do i do this.
Answer:
I am a sports doctor. It takes many years beyond highschool to become a sports doctor. First you have to finish college (4 years), then go to medical school (4 years), then more training after that, which is called "residency." If you like surgery, you'll do 5 years of residency. If you don't like surgery, you'll only do 3 years of residency. After that, you do a "fellowship in sports medicine" which lasts about 1-2 years. That is where I am now. So, if you do everything non-stop, you can be a sports physician in as little as 13 years from today! Start studying, you have a lot of work to do!

Question : Can I get a job in the sports medicine field with a biology degree?
I was planning on getting a BS in Biolgy, then going for my Master's in Biomechanics or Sports Medicine.
Answer:
That is a good choice but you can always take up other pre-med courses like nursing, med-tech, or physical therapy just in case you don't want to push through medicine. At least with those courses you would get a decent job compared to getting a BS in Bio, you might end up being only a teacher but that always doesn't happen.

Question : How to become a sports medicine physician?
I'll be heading off to college this fall (freshman) and am really interested in becoming a sports medicine physician after I graduate. But I'm really confused on how I become one and what steps I have to take to get there.Like what kind of courses should I take in college, what should I major in, do I have to go to a medical school after like doctors do, and any other requirements that I would need to become a sports medicine physician.Your help is greatly appreciated thank you
Answer:
You have to take all of the prereq's for the medical school you are interested in. Generally, 8 hours of biology, 18 hours of chemistry (organic and inorganic), 8 hours of physics, 6 hours english, and a set amount of electives. As you can see, the science required is extensive, so it's easiest to major in biology. Also, most med school classes are biology...so it's best to "know the language" by majoring in it. Halfway through college, you need to take the MCAT and score high. Your GPA needs to be as close to a 4.0 as possible to stay competitive. Your last year of college (the June before) is when you apply online. First, you do a general application through AMCAS or AACOM (MD or DO programs) and then the schools send you secondary applications. Its an expensive process.Prepare for your med school interviews, and do well. Be able to account for any C's you made, bad semesters, lack of clinical experience, etc.Once in med school, it is 4 years. 2 years of classwork, 2 years rotations. Upon graduating, you will pick your residency program (or match to it, rather). This is where you will enter sports medicine. Now, sports medicine isn't actually a training program per say. You really enter orthopedics, and recieve a special certification for sports medicine. Many schools that offer the orthopedics residency have the certification for sports medicine. Your residency is up to 7 years. But, you are paid about $45,000 for it.

Question : Does a sports medicine degree qualify for physical therapy?
I've been looking at colleges in my area and I see that there are places that have degrees just for physical therapy but there are also schools that have sports medicine degrees and the cost is cheaper so are they the same type of degrees like if i was to have a degree in sports medicine would i beable to go into physical therapy?
Answer:
They are very different programs. PT is a graduate program that is 2-3 years beyond a BS degree. PT you learn much more than sports. That is only a very small portion of what PTs do. PTs can treat patients from pediatrics (new borns) up through geriatrics/hospice and everything in between. PT treat the entire body including, integument, cardiopulmonary, neruo, gi/gu.http://www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Career_as_PT_PTA&Template=/TaggedPage/TaggedPageDi splay.cfm&TPLID=242&ContentID=31095Best wishes. Question : Is there a job in medicine where an orthapedic doctor comes to a sports facility and looks at people's injury?
Like, when i was in gymnastics we had an orthapedic doctor come once a week to our gym and people would go to him, and he would check them out and tell them what to do. What is that called? ORS sports medicine?
Answer:
There are many kinds of doctors who specialize in sports medicine. Most of the time they are orthopedic surgeons, family physicians or internists who practice primary care (as opposed to hospital medicine).

Question : What should I do for my Sports Medicine article?
I am in sports medicine for my school and part of the class is that i have to write an article about something related to sports medicine. I can't think of anything to do. This time around, we do not have a topic to go off of so anything would work. The audience that this would be going to is the whole school.
Answer:
How about knee replacements (the surgical procedure)? The pros and cons of steroid use: the reasons why it's a bad idea for young athletes in particular.Drug testing at the Olympics - who got caught using forbidden drugs and why. Or - chromosome (gender) testing at the Olympics. (Who's genotypically male and female - and who's allowed to compete.)Finally, you could write abut blood doping (with the hormone erythropoietin).
