Answer:
Yes take it off while showering, take it off at night when your resting and move around your ankle. You need to keep your ankle muscles active, to help the healing process go by faster, and of course to let blood circulate normally, also for healing to go faster, or at least normally.

Question : Question for any body who plays or played basketball with a sprain ankle?
here it goes....... about 3 weeks ago i severely sprain my ankle in a basketball game, i got it checked out so its not broken or fractured, and for the most part theres no more swelling and it feel good most of the time ............. but when i try to play basketball, it hurts again, i cant make any quick crossovers, that makes it hurt like hell, i can only run at like 70% speed, and most importantly i cant jump, i use to be able to dunk at eye level with the rim but i cant even touch it anymore................... i know im suppose to rest it but is there any products like a aircast, or ankle brace i can use to play and have it not hurt, or are there pills or cream i can uses that are not illegal? because college and nba players play normal on sprains so i figure there has to be a wayyes i wrap it in a ace bandage but that doesnt workwhen you where this brace do you play normal like if it wasnt sprain??? and what store would sell it or would i have to order online

Listen to your doctor.Your knee is probably hurting because you are altering the way you walk by having a walking cast on. It should subside when you walk in regular shoes again.Lace up braces are generally worn with sneakers.

the links didn't work for me, but if your comparing one you just slip on to one you tie, definitely go with the one you tie, i wore 2 throughout high school, they were called ASO , they are much more supportive and protect better, than ones you slip on and are also made to be worn while you are playing, if you go to a doctor he will just tell you to rest it till it feels better or to wear a brace and if you ask him to give you one it will be the cheap kind you just slip on, definitely pay a little more for the ones you lace up, mine lasted about 3 years, hope this helps you out.

Well i sprained my ankle a while back and it didnt heal right so i got a shot that re-sprained it a few days back so it could get healed up right this time. I havr it wrapped in an ace bandage as the shot made it swell up and i am on crutches. It depends do you have any old ankle injuries or sprain your ankle a lot. Go with the 8 straps if your injury prone. 6 straps if you haven't had many ankle injuries. I use the 8 straps due to my ankle injury and it works great.

Answer:
if it was a severe sprain a few weeks ago the bruising on the inside you cannot see may take awhile to heal and what you are feeling are these blood vessels get irritated. the best thing to use is a topical like aspercream for the pain and give it about a month to two to heal fully
