The best cold pack out there

I'm active and encounter injuries from time to time. I first used this at physical therapy and bought it through them to use at home. That was in 1997. It lives in the freezer and has maintained it's moldability and function. Big enough to wrap a knee, big enough for a shoulder, generous size for your back. I bought this product through Amazon as a gift, and it was MUCH appreciated. It will spoil you, for sure.

Too Small

These ice packs are high quality, but the quarter size is just too small. If you want to ice your finger or wrist or ankle or something they might be alright, but if you ice any larger area they will warm up very quickly. The half size is much more usable and even that doesn't stay cold very long. I like how these things don't harden up, but if it's at the cost of staying cold then I don't think it's worth it.

The seam tore too easily

I got the Cold Pack based on all the nice reviews on this site, and the first one I got was an extra large size for my back. It really did keep the cold for a long time and was very comfortable against the back. However, the cold Pack started to leak after one month. I was surprised since no one else complained about this problem, and thought maybe I was unlucky. I got a second one with a regular size this time, but again, the pack's seam tore after less than a month. I am giving up on this kind of Cold Pack however nice it feels. I don't want to waste my money on something that only lasts one month or so.

Gift for father

My father had damaged his rotating cuff and he had been complaining of the pain everytime he did house work. Someone at his work lent him some odd shoulder strap connected to some ice cooler that lead tubes to the wrap around his shoulder, its was such a messy and annoying process I decided to look online for something more simple and good price and I decided on this one. So far it has worked great, the day it arrived he had been doing work and started to complain so I threw the ice pack in the freezer and a while later took it out and put it in the shoulder wrap and when he saw it he rolled his eyes in disbelief and I told him just to try it. Sure enough he sighed with a relief of comfort and said "man that really feels good", since then I have pressured him to use it more, and when he whines about it I tell him "remember the first time you put it on, it really helped". Plus he can move around with it and do his work with it on. So overall I found it to be a great product and worth the purchase cause it helped relieve alot of pain for my dad and is comfortable to have on.

The Thermal Shoulder wrap has worked out well for my bursistis pain. The Gel pack works well either with heat or cold, I use it "cold" which has helped a lot. The shoulder pack is made very well and is durable, I would recommend it to anyone who may need some pain relief.

Great Shoulder Wrap

Having a frozen shoulder is no fun. Attempting to position cold/ice packs and keep them over the area that needs attention is no easy problem. Therefore, when my doctor recommended one of these type of shoulder wraps, I was skeptical. McDavid's Gel Pack shoulder wrap is THE BEST! Not only does it stay right where I need it - but it stays cold for the required 20 minutes. As a little hint, make sure these gel packs are in the main part of the freezer - and if possible laying flat. Additional gel packs to switch out is a good idea. I've been using mine for almost 3 weeks now and have only noticed that as they warm up, there's a residual dampness on my shoulder. GREAT product!

GEL BAGS STARTED TO LEAK

AFTER USING THE WRAP FOR THE FIFTH TIME I FOUND THE GEL BAGS WERE LEAKING I WAS CAREFUL NOT TO OVERHEAT THEM BUT, THEY STILL LEAKED I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT SOME GENERIC ONES AND IT IS FINE

Great versatility and portability

I really love that this ice wrap can be used on a variety of body parts. And, when I use it on my knee, it's so nice that it distributes the cold all the way around my knee. It's fantastic to take with me if I'm exercising elsewhere, since it stays cold for so long. I'm buying another for a friend who needs it. My only grip is that I wish it had more velcro, sometimes it's hard to get it to grip the way I want.

works great fits my large knee area(or any size) and keeps it cold a long time . just what the doctor ordered, and for a lot less than some of those other products. definitely recommend.

Ice Aid Large NeoWrap 3 in 1 Hot Cold Therapy

Great concept, functional design, stays pretty snug. Only con is the sleeve you slip the ice pack into is a light fishnet type material. No matter how careful you are, sooner or later it is going to snag, once snagged, it will ultimately tear and break down. I cut the sharp corners off the ice packs they sell to use with these but it snagged anyway. Sleeve needs improvement to last as long as actual wrap.

Neoprene sleeve good/ice inserts not so much

Recently had knee surgery and needed cooling treatment -- this wrap is very good. Ice inserts leak (have purchased 3, and all 3 leak)- but all in all I would recommend. I am looking now to see if a gel pack is available in a similiar size to avoid the leakage.

Must Have item!

This one item has saved my sanity. I have chronic back problems and am in constant pain. Ice is the one thing that helps to alleviate the pain and I have used all sorts of ice pads, but this one, by far, is the best one ever. I just keep it rolled up in the freezer to use it when needed, there is no filling bags, no dripping, no extra towels needed, just grab and go. I love it so much I have gotten it for gifts for people who need ice therapy. Buy it, you won't be sorry!

Large Hot/Cold Mat for Icy Cool NeoWrap

I needed something large enough to ice my back or shoulder. It started out great and I was careful when returning or removing from freezer. After just a few uses, I noticed water literally running off the mat. Several square sections over the past uses have just lost their liquid. No obvious damage or tear, it has just leaked out. The smaller one for elbow or ankle is doing the same thing. I am going to complain to company.

I have a torn tendon in my elbow and I use this item to reduce the swelling after work outs or deep massages. What can I say, it works great!

Amazing product!

I use this all the time for my tendinitis in my elbow and sore neck muscles. It is so convenient I just wish I knew about it ages ago. Since I use it so much I will be getting another ice pad to switch out when needed.

Ease of use

This is a fabulous product. The best thing is how easy it is to apply to arms and legs. Very ease to go about your normal routine while applying cold to the hurting area. Highly recomended.
