A little pricey but worth it.

My three boys lay waste to the average indoor/over the door basketball hoop, so I opted to spend the extra money in hopes of getting a more durable product. It's already outlived every other indoor hoop we've ever purchased. The boys know they can't hang from the rim and expect the hoop to last, but they frequently dunk the ball and the rim collapses as it's intended to.

Finally, a great indoor hoop!

13 years! That's how many years we have been buying, and re-buying indoor basketball hoops for our boys. Not one has lasted more than a few months - until now. This hoop has a strong backboard and a sturdy metal rim. Now, the rim is not a break-away style, and I assume if there is a lot of pressure or hanging on the rim, the plexiglass-type backboard could crack and/or break. But as long as their slam dunks do not get too out of control, this should last for a good long time. Extra bonus is the rubber padding on the back of the hoop and on the top hooks that hang on the door. No scratches on my front door and minimal black scuff marks after hours and hours of use. I would recommend this product to any "serious" indoor hoops player, especially those who keep buying the nerf-type hoops. It looks good, plays good and keeps my boys, and their friends, entertained during the winter months when it is too snowy or cold for them to use their outdoor hoop.

Great Goal

I bought this for my 7 and 5 yr. old sons and they love it. It is very sturdy and looks cool and even has padding on back so it doesn't scrape up your door. Great goal. Highly recommended.

Mini Hoop

Bought it as a christmas present, it fits well on the door, but the only thing is that, you wont be able to close the door ones you have set the hoop up. The hoop had some scratches on the surfaces. Great for gifts for boys.

Mini hoop basketball (for a door)

What a hit! My son LOVES this small, indoor, basketball net...he had to get it since 2 other friends had it. Compact, fits behind a bedroom door. BUT, It is so loud when it hits the backboard- sounds like the door is breaking. It does not fit flush against the door, so everytime you throw it, it bangs against the door frame, VERY loudly! would be excellent if could be made tighter fit and quieter!

Certainly not as difficult as people make it sound

After reading the assembly reviews on this page, we made sure we had a good three hours to assemble this, and three people. Frankly, a third person made it a little easier, but three was CERTAINLY not necessary. If you had the right height table to lean it on, we could have done with one.

This was assembled within 1 hour. It was easy enough to adjust, although it's best if you have a ladder.

The system is pretty sturdy, and we wish it wasn't the dead of winter to put sand in it. Water would certainly freeze.

The two improvements I'd recommend...(1) a warning on the page that sand or water must be in the base or it will tip over and (2) better drawings of the nuts/bolts/screws. With pictures that don't exactly match what is given (and several things looking so similarly), it is easy to confuse which belongs where...but nothing was that horrible...we managed fine.

Ok basketball hoop

I purchased the lifetime 1221 pro court basketball hoop it came when it was promised, the only problem I had was it was shipped with two of the same backets that hold the hoop up. I called the customer service department the same day and they shipped it out that day with a three day turn around. They gave me no problems. I recieved the part three days later and finished putting the hoop together. It was pretty easy me and my 67yr father put it together. My son which is 10 loves it. It is a good starter hoop

instructions with assembly

the price is a good deal, however the instruction manual was very poorly written. it took me 3 hours to hook the basketball hoop up. the instructions were confusing and not easy to follow. Other than the poor instruction manual, my girls age 5 and age 7 really enjoyed having the basketball hoop outside.

Love the Look, Hate the Feel

Grew up in Chucks and love the look -- the coolest one ever. Decided to try a pair again (am over 60 now) but found them painful -- like a slab of wood tied to my feet. What we need are geezer Chucks with cushioning! Converse, are you listening?

Falling apart after 1 month

I really like Chuck Taylor shoes and these aren't my first pair. But they are the first pair that have started to fall apart after 1 month of use. Not really falling apart but developing holes throughout the canvas. Not sure what's going on but I'm very disappointed.

Chuck Taylor's are great.

Converse All Stars, a classic. Love them. They're very comfortable and they're perfect for a night at the movies or just hanging out with the guys.
Obviously they do not have much support or cushion (and I wasn't expecting any). If I was going to be on my feet all day or doing something real active this is not the shoe I would choose.
The service here was excellent. I couldn't be more pleased.

Holy Supersizing Batman!

I have a pair of these shorts I bought a year ago. Hard to buy a better pair of shorts to work out in at any price.

Bought 3 new pair off Amazon. Well, guess what? Adidas has decided to start super-sizing their product. Large is marked as Large, but size-wise is now an XL or XXL. It's just ridiculous. There's no way to know what size to order anymore. So, five years from now, do I have to order XXS to avoid getting shorts the size of a circus tent? I thought Adidas was run by a frenchman. Why then are they succumbing to American marketing nonsense? Arretez-vous le madness, SVP.

Oh, and I ran down to my local mega sports mart, found the same shorts (that they swore over the phone that they didn't have) and yup, it's not an aberration. Medium is the new Large for Adidas. How incredibly annoying...

Best workout shorts EVER!

By far the best workout shorts i've ever worn. I sweat A LOT but these shorts do an amazing job of wicking away sweat. I'll never go back to traditional mesh shorts so long as these are on the market.

Quality product, but not something I'd write home about.

The large size shorts have an 8" inseam before washing--I haven't washed them yet so I'm not sure if they'll shrink any. Unlike a lot of athletic shorts, these are only single ply and coupled with the fact that they're comprised of thin material, they are somewhat transparent when you hold them up to the light. As long as you aren't wearing fluorescent pink undergarments you should be okay, though.

it bounces when it's supposed to; the only thing i wished it would do would be to go in the basket more often when i throw it up in the air - but that's not the ball's fault. nice price for a nice ball.

This is usually the game ball of choice

Whenever my friends play and we have more than 1 game ball, this is the one that usually gets chosen. Not much else to say.... it has a nice, grippy texture, feels well-balanced, and it seems like its pretty durable.

A pretty good ball

My son gave me this for my birthday and it's been used a couple times a week on asphalt, sun, rain, and snow and still looks new. The grip is excellent and it feels close enough to a leather ball that you won't be freaked out by the difference.

Let's be honest, you need a decent quality basketball for when friends come over or when you step outside and address the 4 for 56 three point shooting streak you are on. You could use the Spongebob Squarepants basketball your kid bought at Wal-Mart or you can ask for a decent looking Spalding basketball. I would go for the Spalding. Even if you can't knock down the outside shot or defend anyone, at least you look good coming and going from the game.
