Multi purpose digital counter
I was looking for a way to conveniently click my strokes on the golf course on the way to the green. (Ten handicappers don't have a need as do the 20 handicappers.) This was an excellent choice.

Sturdy!
This is a good one! We had two neighbor-kids helping us pass out Halloween candy. They enjoyed using these counters to tally how much candy they gave away.

A Hit With the Fishermen!!!
Bought several of these for the fisherpeople in the family. A hit with all of them!!! Specks are biting and they are plentiful. With a per person limit, this little tool keeps everyone on top of who is catching the most without exceeding his/her limit. Well made and easy to use!

Good Solid Tally Counter
I looked at several tally counters before finally choosing this one. Contrary to most reviews of tally counters - this one did not require batteries and is solidly constructed. But most importantly, I haven't had any issues with missed counts or extra counts that many other reviews complained of. If you can't accomplish the simple task of counting by 1 when it's your products soul purpose for existing you ought to get out of the game. This baby had no problems counting correctly as long as I remembered to push the button.

Great quality for a small price
When I purchased this counter, I was sceptical because of its low cost. It works great, has a very solid feel, and is comfortable to hold. I shook it to see if anything was loose, and if would effect the count (it didn't). It passed the test, and my initial fear of it accidentally being reset was proven wrong. You have to manually turn the knob to reset it. I haven't given it the drop test, and really don't need to. It has a finger loop to insure positive grip in either hand. The numbers are large, easy to read, and they stay aligned too. I would recommend the Robic M-357 Tally Counter to anyone.

Evolution Running: Run Faster with Fewer Injuries

Editorial Review :
The Ultrafit Multisport Training Series Athletes in every sport except running devote enormous attention to perfecting even minute details of the movements they will be required to produce in competition. Running coaches just tell their athletes to run longer and harder. Runners, and their coaches, have basically ignored technique for years, assuming that their natural stride will give them efficiency and injury resistance. We have found that this simply is not the case. For the past decade, African runners have dominated distance running at its highest levels. Research on what makes these runners faster consistently demonstrates normal VO2 Max and lactate threshold levels for elite runners. Their height, weight, and limb-length ratios all fall into the normal category. Clearly and consistently, what sets the great African runners apart is that they are more efficient than their competitors, running faster without expending more energy. Experts in running economy agree that running barefoot through childhood contributes significantly to the extraordinary economy of these athletes. We're not suggesting that you run barefoot. We are suggesting that you take the time and effort to learn the techniques that may be more natural running barefoot, and implement them into your shoe-running technique.

Excellent Quick&Easy Guide to natural running
Two of the main guides to natural (including barefoot) style running are the Evolution DVD and the Pose DVD+Book. I have both, and like both, but the material is quite different. The actual recommended running styles are very similar and both stress avoiding the traditional heel striking style caused by expensive sports shoes to avoid their associated injuries and to improve efficiency. I also browsed articles about Chi running but found too much "eastern philosophy" cluttering up the main running information, so I settled on just Evolution and Pose as the source material for my journey.
The Evolution DVD is a very simple but complete explaination of natural (forefoot/midfoot) style running and has the descriptions right in the video demonstrations. You can easly grasp the concepts and start to apply them, and probably become a reasonably good natural style runner. It also has a nice simple (but seemingly complete) set of drills. But, almost guaranteed, you will not be perfect and will have some flaws which need an experienced instructor/coach to identify and help correct - if perfection is your goal. If all you want is to become a good amateur/recreational runner (and minimize injuries) then this is a great choice.
The Pose book has a huge amount more background description, sometimes quite a bit too much and too wordy so you can easily fall into skimming and/or become sidetracked. But in the end it is more detailed, and the Pose method is based on much more detailed scientific research (not to say there is anything different or magical about its end conclusions). The DVD by itself is not really enough, most folks will need the book to go with it. There are quite a few more drills (you DONT need the separate drill DVD, the main drills are covered in the book and the main DVD). But everything seems (to me) to be more complex (maybe more detailed and better?) and I suspect most folks will need a Pose Instructor/Coach to really become reasonably fluent with its specifics. The Pose website lists contact information for Pose clinics and Pose coaches worldwide, and if that is not for you then their forum encourages runners to video their running and post that video for Pose instructor online analysis.
So, what is the summary? I suspect most amateur/recreational runners will get most of what they need, quickly and easily, from the Evolution Running DVD. If you are a serious runner who worries about where you place in local events and/or actually wants to formally compete, the considerable time and effort put into mastering Pose is almost certainly the right answer for you.
In both cases, either switch to barefoot running ([...]) or get minimal shoes (minimal or zero heel/arch/cushioning, flexible sole, extremely light) and then start SLOWLY to practice and buildup your new forefoot/midfoot natural style. And in both cases try to get to one or more clinics with an experienced NATURAL instructor/coach (and absolutely **NOT** just a typical shoestore or community center "running" coach).

I am very glad I bought this DVD
I am a naturally fast runner so I am more than a little skeptical of anything claiming to improve my running. I have had very good results from practicing the drills in this DVD. I am glad I bought it.

This is more for beginners
There wasn't a whole lot that I didn't already know and I've only been running seriously for 1.5 yr. I'm very competitive and whenever I feel like I've hit plateau's, I like to research online for ideas on how to improve. This DVD just about covered most of my findings which is great for people just getting started or those who are looking to improve or become less prone to injury. You get it all here. The only thing I didn't like was the female model. Yuck. They found a couple of lean elite looking male runners but how come the female looks like she has major thunder thighs (with a good amount of cellulite)? I think at the beginning they introduced her as some kind of triathlete but I was just turned off. From that point on, I just treated her as the comic relief of the DVD.

all runners should get this video!
Must use for all runners if you want to run faster, this WORKS!!!! Love it!

I learned SO much from this DVD
Like many people, I started running without having any coaching or training. I didn't even know there was such a thing as proper form or technique. Then I got plantar fasciitis, read Born to Run, and started doing some research. Lots and lots of research. I decided that once I healed I would learn to run barefoot, and bought this DVD to see if it really contained anything that would help me re-learn to run.
I am so grateful to this DVD for the information it contains. I now understand how to land with a midfoot strike - it happens gently, and without really trying - when you use proper, efficient form. Running at 180 strides per minute is very hard for me right now - I have lost a lot of conditioning due to the PF. I bought a digital metronome, Amazon has a good one for about $20 that clips to your running shorts. I can see how incredibly fast a runner can be when they run the way this DVD describes, and how much easier it is on the body than traditional heel-strike running.
The DVD also discusses uphill and downhill running - no more jarring downhills, and has a section of drills to practice. I found the drills very helpful in learning to use the method correctly. The first part of this DVD talked about things I had read about in my research - foot strike, stuff like that. My favorite part of this DVD is the second half, where IMO it really gets into the key parts of correct form. I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone who loves running and wants to reduce injury and/or increase their speed.

Mom's 1st race
I bought this for Mom for her 1st race. No pinning the race number on & leaving holes. It was easily adjusted. It is durable. It stayed in place without twisting around her waist. The bibb was easy to put on the belt. Worked out perfect. Quality product.

Must have for runners/triathletes
Ever pull your shirt just after your swim and rip your race number off your shirt so you have to re-pin the thing on... so frustrating. With this race belt you no longer have to worry about such nonsense. I used to pin on my race numbers and fool around with that garbage, but no more. This belt makes it super easy and the gel holders are a bonus. I haven't used the gel holders in a race yet, but this made my transitions much easier than before. Well worth it!

Great Item!
I bought this a few months back and have used it extensively. It is the perfect item for taking gels with you on the run. It doesn't move around, doesn't bind, and doesn't chafe. I highly recommend this belt.

FuelBelt is great for triathlons!
I received a bib belt in my "goodie bag" at a triathlon a few years ago. I had no idea what it was and eventually misplaced it. When I observed competitors putting them on at triathlons last year, I finally realized the advantage of using one. Since I had misplaced my freebie, I bought a FuelBelt. The elastic gel holders are a bonus, although I have never used them. You can position the FuelBelt wherever it (and the bib) will be least obtrusive when cycling and/or running. The biggest advantage is during events where you are removing or adding clothing layers, due to weather and body temperature changes. BTW: I did eventually find the freebie bib belt and found it was too small for me. I lost the FuelBelt that I purchased last year, so I purchased another. It should be in the gear bag of every bib wearing endurance athlete!

The industry standard and a top seller. Race numbers attach easily to elastic cords and stay in place with Lace Locks.

Simple and reliable
In preparing for my first triathlon, I was told that I would need to buy a race belt. I chose this one on Amazon because it could be shipped with Amazon Prime and it was one of the least expensive. It is simple to use and I had no problems with it during the race. If only I had remembered to remove it before the swim -- rookie mistake!

You could DYI but why?
This is one of those simple little things that you could make yourself but for $9 why bother? It's great for any race and saves the hassle and clothing damage of all those pins.
Rating :
Works but nothing special
The places where you connect your race number to are further apart than any race numbers I've seen so it kinda makes it awkward. I also don't really like the style of the "fuel belt" logo patch it has on it. But it does its job.

Question : Have no idea who this athlete is!!?
I was at a charity event yesterday (Sunday) called "battlefield brawl". The event involved many College and NFL football players coming to East Lansing and playing flag football to raise money for childhood cancer research. One of the players at the event was wearing an MSU Big 10 ring (not sure if it was for conference champs, or conference tourny champs). The ring looked like it was either old or kept poorly. The guy was signing Autographs as #11, with Initials that I THINK were "DS"... If anyone has ANY idea who this guy is, shout it out so I can figure this out. Overview:-From an MSU team ranging ca 1990-2008-Most likely a football player, but could also have been basketball, maybe track and field-His number was #11, this may have been his professional number, but I think it was from his MSU years... I don't think he played Pro-His initials LOOKED like DS, but I could be wrong-A picture of him is hosted here: http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t148/Loogy_Bear/?action=view¤t=yahooquestion.jpg-I looked through this list of celebs already, but didn't find anyone I thought was him, I may be wrong however. Question : what happens if you drink energy drinks before....?
before like a racing game or any type of exercise. What happens? We're starting Track and Field in 2 months and they said we can't bring Monster, amp or Bull drinks. Why?? what happens?i thought that would put a lot of energy into us so that we would be able to run faster with much energy, but why can't we??
Answer:
when you drink an energy drink it gets your heart beating faster to pump more blood. if you have that going on and then do vigorous exercise and get your heart pumping even faster, it has the p[otential to beat faster than it can handle causing a heart attack or something like it. its just to make sure you dont overdo it phyically.
